I don't like the Rav much either, or the CX5 particularly, but there is a big problem in your reviews that you never talk about the reality of ownership. A Mexican built GM product or any VW is going to be unreliable and an expensive nightmare to own. For most motorists the most important thing is reliability, running costs and support not showroom appeal. You are not doing your job if you fail to point out the critical fact that a Rav or CX5 will be more reliable with better manufacturer support and better retained value than a VW. I'm a car enthusiast too and willing to trade off reliability to drive something I like but I would never recommend an unreliable expensive nugget to family or friends who want a good car to run daily for 5-10 years. Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, Toyota. Well designed, well built. Not as "nice" as a VW but likely to meet the needs of people who are not enthusiasts. And if there is a problem they'll care enuf to fix it. You can't say that about brands like VW and GM
Nice to see they have done their research....this Holden Equinox vehicle is fitted with a 6-speed automatic, the 9-speed automatic is ONLY fitted to the higher models with the 2.0 litre engine #fakenews
2.0L RAV4 has a CVT; 1.4L Tiggy has a six-speed DSG. Need to fact check before publishing!
alexaescht and the equinox is a 6 speed auto with the 1.5 too!
why Hyundai Tucson isn't included in this comparison?
We have a comparison coming soon featuring the Tucson, stay tuned.
Are the spare wheels full size or space-saver? Could be a consideration for country travellers, otherwise enjoyable review.
Great comparison video, well done!!
