I can tell you my 40 years at least wrenching if you can soak the bolts down a day ahead of time repeat the process and once you get that nut to turn slightly back it in and keep lubricating it and repeat that process several times on each turn patience you'll have better luck not snapping a bolt but thanks for your video brother
Try a 50/50 mix of acetone and transmission fluid. Acetone is flammable Acetone melts some plastics and eats paint. Also tighten, loosen, tighten, loosen, repeat. Red hot with a torch then impact (no torch with acetone)
This looked like a real world test to me, and your right Kroil is ridiculously high priced, thats why I watched. Kroil looked to be a shade better but not enough to justify the price...........
The trampoline tourque adapter is a perfect shade tree mechanic tool and thanks for taking one for the team and getting torn up by fire ants. Thanks for the video.
Ive found vibrating the bolt/nut as its soaking helps the penetrent. Vibrate it by rapping on it with a wrench for 5 minutes, or use an engraver, or use your impact on low for awhile. Having heat on hand works better than penetrent. Sometimes, heating then rapidly cooling with spray bottle will break the corrosion weld. Ive also snapped more nuts and bolts by hand as opposed to a impact wrench, so I try to use impacts only. Thanks for the vid.
Kroil is known as “ the stuff that creeps” pb blaster works good to but isnt nearly as good as using kroil and letting the stuff sit for a long time.. like a seized engine, kroil works great for removing cuckka. Pb blaster is exactly that….. blaster with some penetrant and cleaner in it… use them both all the time and love both products but for something i really need to get loose or clean and it needs to sit i use kroil😎
I have to remove an exhaust manifold and the nuts/studs look pretty rusted. Last thing I want is to stap a stud so im spraying penetrant on them daily to hopefully help with removal when I finally do the job. I'm using both PB Blaster and Liquid Wrench. Fingers crossed.
Next time you're trying to loosen a stuck bolt and it starts to come loose and then it freezes up the preferred method is to tighten it back up a little bit take little wire toothbrush or whatever hit the threads where it bound up put a little more of your penitrating oil the remove nut. Never force it

Just a little tip. Spray the penetrant on the THREADS not the BOLT…

Agreed. Appreciate your comment!
We use Kroil on refinery equipment that has been in service for years. Best penetrant in a can. Period.
If you'd have wire brushed the heavy rust off the exposed threads it helps greatly if you don't have heat on hand.

Kroil, overnight, heat and vibration would have different results.

Great video and great information
You should have overdubbed Freebird onto this.
Hilariously appropriate background music
whoever taught you about leverage?
Kroil is owned by big bank investment....Private equity So that explains the higher cost.I'll stick with PB blaster.
I’m now just a bit dumber than I was. Don’t view this unless you can spare some brain cells😢
PB blaster is trash IMHO
