Kali orexi ( bon appétit) by watching this cooking Greek food video with Raul & Amalia I’ll put zucchini balls on my menu I never cooked them. History says that the Mediterranean Diet in Crete is most healthy so try another Cretan dish on the next video. Thank you for allowing us to watch. Try spanakopita (spinach pie with feta cheese) and Greek salad.. I was excited watching and did learned something new (zucchini balls ) kalimera 🍽️
Hey guys. For tzatziki i think the best is stragkisto yogurt. The one you used has alot of sugar and water content and is rather used for sweetish desert. Great video!
Amalia and Raoul you are the best!!!!You get a full 10 from me!Next time i ll give u directions how to make another traditional cretan dish called "Boureki"It comes with thin pastry or without with zucchini slices , potatoes slices ,spearmint ,onions ,lots of olive oil and cretan soft cheese called" mizithra" and some traditional "staka"also which gives a very full and creamy taste. But of course this is not a light cretan dish 😊Its full of delicious calories!!!!!please keep doing your beautiful videos. We all love them and we are fortunate that you live next to us!!!!!Bravo guys!!!!!!❤❤❤
Please make a video comparing uk supermarket prices to greek ones. There is a huge talk in Greece right now about supermarkets there being way more expensive than those in richer countries .
Grilling Tip : When grilling souvlaki you MUST keep all of them in touch with each other. No gaps between them. Turn sides but still keep them together
Yeah you nail it! As for pita bread, look for wholemeal pitas (ολικής άλεσης / olikis alesis), they are ideal for dieters and diabetics, and taste the same (maybe even better). You can ask for the same when you eat souvlaki outside the house, there is this option.
You did great with the cooking... you'll find many different alternatives to how Greeks make tzatziki example but I believe as long as it tastes garlicky, fresh and delicious... then you did it just fine 😄
Me as a Greek: Oh, you guys are making our food! Excellent, we love people who share our culture. Also me as a Greek: There needs to be more side dishes to be considered good enough feast.
😂😂 we couldn’t finish even these ones! With so many delicious options, it's so difficult to choose! We will make a feast next time, when we take a break from the diet😂 Let us know your favourite sides, would love to try them! Thank you for watching!🙏
Nailed it for sure!! Also, Raul's accent is excellent when he was saying "Ευχαριστώ πάρα πάρα πάρα πολύ" (Euharisto para para para poly). Tzatziki is the best thing that you can eat any day any time! You can leave it to rest in the fridge for a half or 1 day and the next day would be so much better! If you like garlic you can try Skordalia, which is another traditional sauce we are eating on the 25th of March with Cod fish. You nailed also the zucchini balls, the texture needs to be like that, crunchy on the outside and soft and juicy on the inside!! For the nose clip check out a store called Intersport, they sell equipment for many sports and you may be lucky
nailed it , heres a tip for amasing greek salads , tomatoes cucmber onion in , salt , a dash of vinegar and good mixing for a minute or two before ading oil , just be sure to have some bread with you or at least pita for the deep dives ... if you dont understand the deep dive just do as i recoment and have the bread , u will see ;)
10/10!!! You guys are dangerous with what you do in front of the street, from morning workouts to live cooking! Next step is a small charcoal grill and review Grillphilosophy recipes
Loved it as always. Love your style. Mainly the respectful & kind approach to different cultures & people. Regarding the above video now. Having already comprehended, that you are on low carbon diet, I understand how you missed a key ingredient to the Greek diet that always accompanies the above menu : fried potatoes 🥔 😉
good work guys .. greeks dont use mint... not on tzatziki... greek salad 5 ingrediants like tomato cacumber olive oil onion and feta ... and for souvlaki use neck stake... its so much better
Actually pretty good attempt. Of course the best version of souvlaki is to broil it in natural wood charcoal on the grill with fatty pieces of pork and plenty of sea salt and dry oregano. Tzatziki traditionally made is with lots of garlic, extra virgin olive oil, a touch of red wine vinegar and the rest ingredients. Κολοκυθοκεφτέδες they are tastier when are fried but of course in the matter of good health is acceptable to baked them. You can replace pita with a wholegrain tortilla. Other cooking ideas: Μουσακάς, Παστίτσιο, Κεφτεδάκια/μπιφτέκια με πατάτες,γεμιστά, γύρος
@@Sunpire All of these where my favourite when my yiayia used to make them. My all time favourite is Makaronia me kima(aka greek spaghetti Bolognese). We make it different and in my opinion it's better than the Italian version.
@@SunpireYou have to try Galaktompoureko (Γαλακτομπούρεκο), it's the best one! We have also Baklava and other smaller versions of sweets like baklava that derive from Constantinople. During Christmas you have to try Kourampie (Κουραμπιές), Melomakarono (Μελομακάρονα) and Diples (Δίπλες).

Tzatziki goes with almost everything. Try eating it with fried potatoes. Dip fried potatoes into the tzatziki.
