Merenda was too liquid because of the heat. It's not supposed to be that liquid. As a child i preferred Lacta, but as an adult it's too sweet for my tastebuds so i switched to ION team Cheetos has recently changed the flavor of a lot of their snacks. The drakoulinia you tasted ( the purple bag ones) is the new horrible flavor, where you can only taste plasticy tomato. The original ones where by far superior and had more cheese in them. They did the same thing with their Pizza flavoured ones ( ring shaped snacks in a green bag) I'd suggest trying JUMBO snacks ( by a Greek company names OHONO) as well. they make VERY crunchy chips and their cheese puffs (especially the JUMBO Garidares) are very tasty. EXTRA snacks are also a good alternative . Blue yellow bag for cheese puffs and blue red bag for pizza-ish flavor

Don't believe anyone when they tell you you can build on that land with out getting approval. Do your homework.

I haven’t tried feta with honey but a very common dessert is Greek yoghurt & honey it’s just paradise for me

When I want to eat different chocolate combinations, I pick Lacta (Example: Lacta Oreo). When I want a chocolate with nuts, I pick ION.

The difference between salma,or sarma(yes,we also have them) and dolma(obviously turkish names) is that salma is wrapped in cabbage,while dolma is wrapped in vine leaves.Both delicious,try to find fresh ones,offered in good restaurants,not these canned ones,that we only ate when in army service!

NOT aloe vera plants.Those were agave plants,very distant relatives of aloe.Both agave and the cactus you passed by after it,are not local.They were imported in Crete from Central America,after Colombus,obviously.They were easily acclimatised,as our climate is more or less the same as in Mexico(Americans call Crete,mediteranean California)The fruit of this cactus is edible,you should try it,just ask for ''papoutsosyka''(shoe-figs,don't ask me why our ancestors named them like this,other parts of Greece use other names).The real close relative of our agave is the variety that is used in Central America to extract the raw material of..teqilla!Some guy in Santorini uses the fruit of the papoutsosykia cactus to produce something resembling teqilla! And PLEASE,beware of the cretan limestone,it's sharp as razor blade,many tourists get really injured.You do not want to see Amalia's perfect skin peeled off!

ION by far! Milk chocolate with almonds is a must one and one of their best products ever. Lacta is overly sweet, not balanced at all.

We should get a Costco wholesale in Greece. Their produce products is as fresh as you can get and they support local farmers where I live in USA. I’d love to see a market with mostly Greek products from small businesses and Costco sometimes brings that stuff too. On a 25$ membership though.

A healthy Greek snack is yoghurt with honey and walnuts. You can't find it readymade but you can easily mix these together. It's also aphrodisiac. 😉

12:51 lacta is not a brand, lacta is owned by Pavlidis which is a brand and whats ironic is that some Greeks compare Pavlidis chocholate with lacta while they are the same thing 😂😂😂😂 (though pavlidis is known for more dark chocholate, usually fruit flavored)

You should try out feta Cheese "ΗΠΕΙΡΟΣ" and any kind of greek yoghurt in general I would also suggest "ρυζόγαλο" (it is basicly sweet yoghurt with rice and its a 10/10 for me)

The first cave was really nice , long and scary :D Also just for you to know, in Greece the law clearly states that nudism is not allowed anywhere! The "nude" beaches, it's purely a matter of the police that shows leniency (as long it's not near families with kids etc.)
