    Love the car, having driven it and tested it out for a full day, it's a very comfortable and smooth ride. Recommended!

    Excellent review. I picked up my iX3 M Sport Pro in March 2022 (... replacing an X4 3.0D Auto M Sport) and absolutely love it... I've done approx. 1,500 miles so far (2 months) including a 550 mile round trip to Portsmouth and found it incredibly comfortable and stress free due to the excellent range and fast charging capability. Running costs are much cheaper and represent good value compared with the equivalent SUV (ICE) models and more than make up the difference / initial outlay of the EV model (... assuming you have access to a home charger) even with the hike in domestic energy prices!
    Overall. Would definitely recommend it.

      @@Electroheads Our first impressions: simply a great car. I'm very sure it's by far the best car we've ever had.
      Power is incredible. Charging is simple and quick. All assisting systems work smoothly. Interior space is very satisfying. Very calm, very good entertainment (harman/kardon). The first "fill up load" lasted for 400 km.

    You've flipped the before and after facelift pictures at 1:05!!! And the blue linings can still be removed as an option (like they were on the pre-facelift editions)

    Great car.. And this video only mentions a few of the many good specs. The quality on BMW is much better than on Tesla. Only Porches, Mercedes and Audi can compete.
    The price... Probably depends on your country.. But here in Denmark extremely cheap because it's an EV and therefore no car tax on purchase. Also the yearly road tax is the lowest possible (10 times cheaper to my old BMW 325i)..and free parking in the city because it's an EV.
    This car is a must buy! 😁

    Fantastic car! Bravo BMW for not making something that shouts "EV". A good looking car is a good looking car. The only negative is they could improve internal packaging. You didn't mention the HUD as standard on the M Sport Pro (plus acoustic glass, 20" wheels, digital card etc).

    Flat wheels to increase efficiency. Offering some small EV's alongside these huge ones everyone's making seems to be out of the question, but don't worry about that because the WHEELS are FLAT to increase EFFICIENCY!

  • @mitchellbarnow1709

    • @AlbertLamarque
      @AlbertLamarque 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@stevenbollinger9776 in China, where this car is manufactured and for which market it was intended, size matters. Reserving space on the road is a matter of status. Hence the long wheel base versions of everything, which puzzle Europeans since forever. But in the end you are right, you can only buy what is supplied. And marketing is all over us ever since the first X5. At least this one here has a real boot, where there is a petrol tank in the plug in hybrid.
      Additionally, on shared ICE platforms, packaging is easier and cheaper and since you want some space left for the interior it makes sense to not use a sedan shape. Also, there is a European regulation for ground clearance between road and battery which is higher than for ICE. The difference between suv and non suv will blur on dedicated platforms moving forward. We will call them "cars" after moving away from the term crossover. Examples are the new Kia and Hyundai and Genesis models. There will be more, because it makes sense.

    This model has been tested thorougly in Norway by the Norwegian EV Association. They are impressed with the relatively low consumption and get close to WLTP range even in winter!!! But the design both in and outside just, well, someone has to like it probably but will anyone love the design?

    You don't get Piemont red? All the fancy stuff is reserved for Germans it seems. Our full spec is called "impressive" (I hope you mention the fantastic adaptive recuperation. This is on another level entirely) edit: you did and are therefore more than qualified for expert EV reviews. No nonsense customer point of view. Nicely done. The driving reminded me a lot of the BMW i3, even though more comfy but just as nippy. Would you agree?

    Gesture control for volume is very useful for keeping your eyes on the road - you don’t have to look away from the road for a nanosecond to adjust volume, and that is useful when driving in the UK where many types of car do not come with indicators. 😜

      You'd be surprised to learn that 500kg more weight and 100bhp less has an impact on performance. Also, acceleration is not a critical factor for these types of cars is it?

      @AlbertLamarque 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SirHackaL0t. in the end this is on par with the 30i and 30e in terms of price and performance. Having driven all of them I can say that the iX3 is the only joyful experience out of the three. If a BMW driver wants to win the traffic light GP and does not go for the M badge....your out of luck really. But again, mid-size SUVs are rarely bought for that reason. Every segment has a purpose, and this one here will run over school children with much less noise.

    So this is a rear wheel drive car because the batteries are mounted at the back (11:54)? As opposed to a 4 wheel drive where the the batteries are spaced all the way across the vehicle (12:00)?
    What the batteries have to do with this? And I am not so sure the batteries in the iX3 are in the back. Come on.

    Did you check out the front boot? No, wait, it doesn’t have one.
    Brilliant car? Not sure what you are comparing it to.
    I had BMW’s for many years but became disillusioned ned by their lack of EV over the last used years. I got a Model 3 instead. Best move I made.
    Half hearted attempt by BMW to make a compliance car.
    Why do EVs have a start/stop button? There’s not an engine to ‘start’.

      Crunching numbers will not help you with figuring this truly vexing car out. It does drive like a much smaller and lighter car, yet a bit wobbly as is custom for mid-size SUVs. On the other hand you can turn traction control off completely and do smoking circles around the X5 of your boss.

    We are on our 5th EV and that car meets none of our criteria. I won't buy a black car ever again, unless I'm getting into the funeral business, that applies to grey as well!
    Low profile tyres are a no no!
    Like our other EVs they must be designed as such from the ground up.
    That car does nothing for me, Its not a proper EV, boring, boring & even more boring.
    We have 4 EVs in our family & they are all dedicated EVs.
