For the gunpowder barrel trap, I accidentally discovered that is you light the fuse before you give it to the mermaid it will still be lit when you retrieve your treasure.
@@gavinshirley I feel like it would be easier to handle losing your loot, if rare made the grind a little easier, for example giving more loot or making loot a bit more valuable. At the current stage I can Imagine people who only have limited to play would very angry to lose a lot of progress. That being said while some want a pve mode, I do not as I feel it would take from the athmosphere, but what I do think should be implemented is solo sessions for tall tales.
@@kastelukannumollom5289 You clearly didn’t play during launch, the grind is so stupidly easy and fast that you can get PL in a few hours of play on a fresh account. Loot is crazy abundant and there are tons of safe ways to acquire the loot. People just can’t handle losing in video games anymore and think fun is only gained by absolutely stomping on people

I used to be interested in this game, fought myself from buying it several times because the PvP focus convinced me I wouldn't enjoy it. Seeing videos like this one show me SoT is essentially a griefer's paradise. When I kill an enemy I usually expect them to stay dead.

Just gonna vent rq. Logging off for the day cause everyone is running naked ships for some reason. No cosmetics, no emissary, no nothing. It's not fun just rolling up on some fresh players and demolishing them for what little gains, so we pass them up. We're turning in loot from a phantom fort which we had done to get supplies expecting a populated server but were saddened to see it (the server) dead. So we were selling supplies when a naked brig came sailing towards us (anchoring on our broadsides, lol.). We've offloaded almost all the loot already, just finishing stuff like foul skulls or w/e. Then this double gun sweat lord runs up and blunders me after we've already offered them the ship's supplies. So we scuttled. No supplies for anyone and no fight. Just disappointed in their stupid actions. I don't understand people like that. Hey, we offered you supplies. "Yeah, and I took them," so you shot me after we gave you a bunch of supplies since we were logging off, instead of saying thanks have a good one? "Yeah," K cool.

I have a legitimate question for anyone who will listen. Just recently I was playing on a server with a grade 5 reaper and I decided to get off cuz I was done and I didn't feel too good. Even though I knew my ship would probably just get blown up with no questions asked, I decided to try and be nice and go to where the reapers were and give them all my supply grades and the menial amount of treasure I had. And of course when I got there they started immediately blowing holes in my ship, I jumped off my ship and there was someone who jumped off to try and board me and shot me once. I over the mic told them that I was already coming here to give them my supplies cuz I was done and the player in the water stopped firing at me and swim close to me and actually listen to me for about a minute. He listened to what I said acknowledge that I was not going to fight back and got off, and then he says "yeah I'm still going to kill you." In a very condescending tone. So we have a little fight where I almost kill him and he kills me. I wasn't really upset about it at all, I kind of expected to have a little fight and I kind of didn't mind it was fun. As I was waiting to go to the ferry I just calmly said "you know there was no point to that right?"with no real ill will towards him. His response was "it's a pirate game, you're going to get sunk." Again in that very condescending rude voice. I have no problem with getting sunk, in fact I went there with the full knowledge that I'm more than likely would be. But this guy stopped listen to me talk to me and then just decided to be rude for no reason. My question isn't if he had the right to kill me, I did kind of roll up on him and his crew and this is a pirate game. My question is was his behavior toxic. Because I feel that him still wanting to kill me was fine, but his attitude over the microphone was rude.
I mean…. They may have been searching for a fight for 3+ hours on that server just for the first ship they see to willingly give them supplies. I’m not saying their attitude is ok at all, but just another angle or perspective on the same situation maybe? Their attitude may be a by-product of encountering people who run, Red Sea, or don’t even try to fight. So your little bit of interaction with then was what they’ve been waiting for. Again, I’m not making excuses for any party here. Just providing another angle 👍🏼
@@IzSpud that could be the case, but considering the fact that they were at crooks hollow and their ship was pointed away from me, and I saw a lot of loot on the tip of their ship I think they were just doing vaults. I would completely understand if they were looking for a fight but I don't think they were. And I really could not express enough how rude the guy sounded and the unneeded nastiness in the way he spoke. Thanks for agreeing with me that the guy was rude, and I would have completely understand if they just fought and didn't stop to talk to me. But the guy stopped for a full minute and talked with me and then just decided to kill me after my ship was sunk. There was absolutely no reason for him to kill me he just did it because he wanted to. Which is fine but his tone and overall rudeness in the way he spoke to me is what I believe to be a little toxic.

I use Sony Vegas Pro 16.0 and all my edits are very, very simple. It's just putting down gameplay that displays what I am narrating. I'd say go try different editing styles, experiment with things and see waht sticks!

i dont know if this is something SoT has but for some reason alot of videos i watch have players named "Anna de Aquatic" yours, welyn's, and other SoT youtubers have faced a player with that name and im just like "am i missing somehting?" or is this player just that formidable HAH
Once I hid at an outpost and stole the ships of every server hopper who spawned there. We then beached their boat on the outpost with harpoons. I am a very shitty person
Sea of thieves is fun and all and I really wanna start playing pvp, but im just not good at it and can't get my head around it, my lack of skill paired with my low fps, it becomes less fun every day
There are a lot of great creators out there from whom you can learn A LOT about PvP! Phuzzybond has a great catalogue of tips and tricks for everything SoT and Blurbs is one of my favorite streamers to watch for non-stop PvP action, also having a lot of PvP tips on his channel. I think checking those out could help you out!

bro i got a dream of sea of thieves where theres a reaper at spawn. and when i try to get on my ship the ladders wont work so i find something else to jump onto my ship. than i see a enemy ship next to me. somehow i can only use the cannons 1 and im on a sloop so bruh. but after a while i still somehow won. idk how but wow ( probably just the dream letting me win so im still bad at the game ;-; )
Are you ever going to try to tuck and server hop? I know that Sea of Thieves is is game that people enjoy on both sides of the spectrum, with either pvp or pve and I don't blame you for either. I always encourage people to try the other side out though because you might be missing something you didn't think you were missing.
My entire time leading up to PL was spent seeking PvP. Did the server hopping, tried (and failed) the tucking and ran Reaper more than anything else. I still enjoy the PvP in large, but I just find it more entertaining to approach situations differently than shooting on sight every time. Also if you'd like to see me try and tuck, I got an episode where I did just that called "Sea of Griefing" !

I blew up a chasing pvp ship by dropping exploding barrels behind me, 4-5 and then sniping them haha! Worked perfectly
