Hey Man! What a keeper! There is nothing like a sweet vintage piece! I still can't believe that early 90s is "vintage", but it is 30+ years ago! The 2892 is one of my favorite movements. Get her serviced and it will be around forever. On par with the 3135 IMHO. And nothing wears like Titanium, and that splash of gold is classy for sure. Wow, current Ebay price on the vintage, with gold Sinn 8828 is $2,150....very nice watch! thanks for the demo. The choice in leather brand was spot on. I collect watches also, Grand Seikos, Seikos..a few Hamiltons....Cheers from Reno.
That is a beautiful watch, and I think that era of Sinn watches is much more faithful to their core design philosophy of "high-quality for fair prices". It has a very similar DNA to the 104 arabic dial (which I own and use for timing pastas with the unique countdown bezel). You should look into some Hirsch Performance or Artem Sailcloth straps, they're rubber-backed and water resistant but still preserves that classy/understated strap-look, and I think they'd look great on your watches
I’ve got the Sinn 556i RS, and currently looking at the exact same Marathon you own. Any particular reason you have decided to let it go? I love my Sinn but the Marathon is intriguing.

it's nice to see people still wearing watches. I wish I could but I destroy them in no time. They just stop working. The one that lasted the longest was a cheap digital Timex I found and I got two years out of it.

I love the look of leather bands, but I seem to go through them quickly. Like, they don't even last a year.
Hoping this one lasts a while! I've had it around 6 months, but I can see it wearing out in another 6.
