I was wanting a CZ 527 in 7.62x39, but this will have to do. Anyone know if it has the larger ,312 chamber for cheap ammo? I hated the plastic stock on the Rugers, and I prefer Rugers! Adding a wood stock to the Ruger and it was more $$$ than the CZ 527!
I lic CZ but I have heard this model has a few bugs to work out like most new models do! I think it’s like most newer guns they just don’t have the old world quality like the older guns do! I can say that after being a 60+ year gun collector and having owned hundreds of newer and older rifles. Not that the newer rifles don’t shoot but if you have held enough rifles in your hands you get that feel of a great balanced rifle and you can see it in fine details and the quality of wood and the very deep bluing almost mirror finish. I love bolt action rifles since I got my first one at 6 years old from Sears from picking and drying walnuts and selling them. I come from a 6 generation family of hunters as does my wife and it’s about the companionship not just the hunt!
Well said. Agreed the old school rifles had more soul. The biggest difference is the old ones were built to last and be handed down . The new ones are built with cost savings first n foremost above everything else
While I prefer their older model, with the "mauser" style action... it does have some good features. They should all have 24" barrels. Pretty stock and functional safety, with a decent detachable box magazine (FINALLY!). BUT, I STILL prefer a hinged floor plate and box magazine. A rather ugly bolt, but functional. It's nice to see an action that has an open port, that doesn't have a "tube" action that is hardly accessible by a normal sized thumb! All in all, while the new design is a cost saving design, it's in tune with most everyone else's "new design" bolt action rifle made today. Not a bad price, either.
This is the kind of hunting rifle i want to see on the market. I am so sick of plastic. I've been sick of it since the beginning of it.

Nice rifle, thanks for the show and tell.
Thank you for the information 😎
This looks like a very nice Rifle
Hope this company brings back the 527
Wish it came in 9.3x62

We had true master machinists and master craftsman back then. Now we have machines that do it all and technicians to keep the machines running
What bugs?
I wish there were more videos out about this gun made by private owners. I love Cz but this rifle has been slow to catch on.
