- The CZ 600 Range is very well made and beautifully finished, it’s very pleasant to shoot and it has a host of worthwhile features to make it the long-range hunting and target rifle it is. Most of all, it's extremely accurate. Sporting Shooter editor Mick Matheson gave it a thorough test on the bench and in the field.

This is hands down best review and detailed video of any rifle I watched on youtube. Thank you sir. You are Master
I have never seen a better gun review. This is perfect. Thank you.
Very good presentation! Sealed my thoughts on buying one!
Glad it was helpful for you! Let us know how you go with it.
Thank you for your review Mick, certainly a rifle capable for both use on the range and hunting out in the field.
Thank you Mick. I have subscribed. Cheers from NZ🇳🇿.
Great review, thanks

👏👏👏💪💪💪👌👌👌👍👍👍
beautiful gun
with I could get a laminated chassis for my 600 Alpha
Great review! I have the CZ 600 Range (although in .223), and the accuracy results with both factory and especially handloads has been terrific. I have Savage, Remington, Ruger and many other bolt rifles, and none come close to the accuracy (well, maybe the Savage for accuracy), ease of use, trigger, stock, etc. than the 600 Range model right out of the box. I also have the Alpha model, and though not as accurate, it is a great handling, lightweight rifle. I really hope they come out with .204 and 22-250 models.
What ammo does the 223 like
@@jeffmckenzie9440 My 600 Range shot the Hornady Varmint Express 55gr Vmax the best of the 3 factory loads I shot. Other accurate factory rounds were Winchester White Box w/45 gr hollow points. Also shot Federal 50 gr , but "only" held a 1.25" groups.
Handloads were better: It shot the Berger 52 Gr with Varget into .6" for 3-shot groups. The most consistent and smallest groups at 100 yards were handloads with a reduced load of Blue Dot (12.6 gr) with 40 gr V-Max bullets. Best 3 shot group was .235", with no group over .5". That load was also the load I shot the most through this rifle ... around 250 rnds of that load so far.
When the weather clears up I'll extend some testing to 200 and 300 yards. Anything past 300 and I usually get out the 22-250 or 6 ARC.
I don't shoot long, heavy bullets as I use my .223 rifles for prairie dog control, and don't want bullets skipping across the plains.
If anyone can help. I have this exact same rifle and can’t seem to find a bi pod that fits well against the flat bottom of the stock. Thanks
I just used one of the simple Harris-type designs, available from many brands. Its base was fairly flat and rubber-padded, so it worked well. It had no cant adjustment, though, so was a bit of a handicap in the field.
What brand does it like. There are plenty of rifle companies that can produce good results with match grade Ammunition. However I want to see ones that can do it with dollar per round ammunition.
I like to see those that do that, too! Given that every barrel has its owner preferences, you'd have to experiment with the rifle you bought in the hope of finding that kind of accuracy. The point of the test is to show that the CZ can do what it promises, but the testing also shows that you can't count on perfect results with every load you try. If you're lucky, any rifle has the potential to shoot cheap ammo well, but I'd never count on it, especially since cheaper ammo is often built to lesser tolerances and so is prone to varying accuracy in itself. That's why the accuracy guarantee specifies the use of match-grade (ie, consistent) ammo. On another note, there's no such ting as dollar-a-shot .308 ammo here in Australian any more. If there was, gun testing would be a hell of a lot cheaper! Even most run-of-the-mill stuff is more than $2 a shot. If I can find a rifle that shoots cheap ammo very well I'll be crowing about it!
Should’ve been on the REM 700 platform
Why the 700 platform? Is it better? Just curious .
I agree, so you have more after market support
I guess they finally worked with MDT but questionable if you can get the chassis seperate. Value is great from cz but the mdt model is over priced. It should cut below the other competitors precision models
Beautiful rifle but not good for hunting. At 10 pounds naked it’s too much..
Hence the name “range”
