French auto manufacturers have to redo the process of making and assembling cars in a reliable way. They use the very cheapest plastics and wiring that WILL degrade quickly..
I had the same belief as you until a few years ago. I bought a Peugeot 207 from the Auction. It had only 57k on the clock. The first thing I noticed was the clutch had gone. I sorted the car out, and now it's done 150k on the clock. It is used as a workhorse and I have colleagues, who own German cars, like VW Golfs. This car has been more reliable than all of their cars put together. Why? Service it on time, put the right parts into it, since these days there are a lot of good quality parts available to choose from. But even within the car itself, you see it shares parts from companies such as Denso, a company owned by Toyota. The electrics have been good on the car, especially for a 15 year old car. By the way, in terms of the dashboard, it is produced by Faurecia. They produce the interiors for German manufacturers, but are owned by Peugeot. So, in reality, unless a car manufacturer isn't able to obtain car parts from outsourcing, due to say sanctions, with manufacturers such as Iran Khodro, then a car tends to be built upon many different companies and the badge is just a badge of where it was assembled.

Because Japanese cars rot to death ? 😂
@Mr330d true say but I'd say in terms of reliability they never go badly wrong german cars are great as long as its not on PCP and ragged to shit otherwise german cars are solid french is horrendous only good engine is 1.6/2.0hdi but those have dpf issues and turbo issues 1.5dci are great if maintained
@@DarkReaper-or9el My 1.6 HDI will never have DPF issues 😂 It’s also been “cleaned” 👀
@Mr330d I think after it dies we will swap to a Japanese after dad car gives up
French shit init 😅😅
Your van is clearly feeling "left out" as you spend all your time on other vehicles...just sayin' ! 😜
Dude, you need to stop pointing to link stuff up and then not do it...
Citroens are great p.o.s. cars
Nightmare🤦. broken van means no job no money...
That’s correct. Broken van also means less money whilst not earning money. It’s a bummer
Iv had all makes and models and they are all as bad as one and other
so, dont use french shitbox. rather drive mb vw or ford van
Iv always avoided buy any French produce vehicles as they are awful and massively unreliable
I’ve never recommended a french vehicle… (except the Clio v6) 👀
Diesels are fine
I've had a 308 gti 1.6 270 since 2018 and I've never had a single issue
I have a citreon c3 picasso had it 5 years now gone through every mot no advisories never let me down so you as a mechanic don't no squat about french cars you talk out your backside !!!!!
Good for you! Please make sure to print your comment and post it on your wall as a reminder that you said this about your car 😇
