I'm crying oh my god. I literally love Weezer and Ftp. I mean, Mark's voice is originally just made for this song and it's unique vibe, but Rivers' vibe just absolutely creates Pumped Up Kicks into something totally new and just fantastic. I loved this!
They've been known to do that sometimes. I like the melody, but I can't stand Foster the People so this cover was more or less just what the song needed in my taste.
Meh. FTP's version had a hazy feeling to it that I think made the song. It's like a daze to listen to it, and it's almost like it's a voice in your head, like the voice inside all of us that tells us to do horrible things, even if we ignore it. It's there in all of us, and I personally feel like FTP tapped that while Weezer missed the mark. I dunno. Just me?
I can see that. I prefer Cuomo's voice but it wouldve worked better with a vocal limiter or some similar effect on the vocals to mimic the ftp lo fi sound.
Weezer made it sound angrier. Maybe it's just the hard rocker in me, or the fact that I imagine shooting people to be an angry rather than trippy experience, but I like this version much better.
@@alaskantundrawolf8831 This is an interesting angle. I think people who are depressed and suicidal (like one the Columbine shooter was) would sound more on the mellow/sarcastic side. That's just my opinion though.
i think weezer sounds amazing but i dont think this cover does it justice, doesn't sound like hes really trying , and the fact that its live doesn't help. but if they did a studio version id definitely love it
I'd love to have a studio version of this.
N.M me too

gotta say i like the guitar in this version, kudos
The definitive version of pumped up kicks
Weezers cover is amazing!! It's quite funny how they muck up on the chorus though!
Weezer took this song to a whole new level of awesomeness.
mutleyaxp1 i like weezer but I honestly think this cover sucks
mutleyaxp1 yee
not really this is lousy

@@demonjmh no it's good
OUTSTANDING
I remember when weezer was in their heyday. Those were the good ol days when you didn't have to worry about everything. Miss those days.
Mitchell the hippie thinks his life is hard.
Man it’s like 2012 happened in a whole another dimension

RockLegend2 ftps version is like the devil whispering in my ear *spins revolver chamber*
If it was in studio it would be better tho

Cool :)
This one sound more gritty and strong; more alternative than Indy unlike foster the people's version
👌🏼🤘🏼❤️
@oSaifay no one said Weezer's cover was better... but I agree.
This song is me
=w=
Am I the only one who thought FTP did it better?

Weezer 4 life.
HALFANDHALFCOMPANY yEaH bOi
when weezer was still good
waaay better than the original
Highly disagree
Weezer made this song good
it was already a good song. This sounds like a band at a bar right now.
Jesus Christ, they couldn't even get the lyrics right.
Funny part is he was holding a piece of paper with the lyrics on stage.
