    As usual, your customizing was so good it felt like I could hop in, turn the key, and drive away

    great work! :) love the details, too. (I just wonder why nobody minds the door cards and inner rear flanks, but, there) interesting story, too. kudos to the guy for trying to contact the previous owner, just in case, and to avoid nasty surprises. and just being courteous, too, I guess.
    the front bumper sits awkward. I haven't taken one of these apart yet, but I think it's sitting upside down. some of these parts have barely noticeable top- and bottom sides. (maybe test it out with another, not yet customized, casting? we all know how easily the meticulously parket detaisl can break off.)
    that door spring is also showing how SIKU kept experimenting with details, as this spring isn't found in many castings from that era, maybe even only two others? can't remember wich ones right away. the spring can be removed, however, with a little screwdriving, and reinserted. at least on the castings I found it in. :)

    Majorette done these in 1/64. Excellent job

      Majorette did a 733 not a 6. Norev Minijet did do a 633 but they are scarce and not as well cast as Siku in my opinion

    Lovely job - and I recommend oven cleaner for removing paint from plastic parts, I've had a very rare plastic body go soft in Dettol - and it stinks!
    Any chance of a tutorial on the decals, something I'd like to be able to make myself

      I will give that a go! And yes I’ll put together an instructional section of one of my future videos for decals 👍🏻

    Such an amazing mini me of Taylor’s car! I’d love to get a mini me of mine done by you but they never made a 5 door Focus ST scale model only 3 doors 😢 P.S I found out about you through Dadcars Ben when I met up with him and chatted for ages!!

      Oh nice! Yeah Ben’s a great guy, love what he is doing. He reached out when he wanted a replica of Phil for his Scalextric track at Shedfest. Top man!

    Super job 👍 Could the dash have been installed upside down or modded to RHD it?

      Thanks! I did attempt to but the fittings are designed for LHD only annoyingly

    Tylor got lucky with his CSI, then butchered it and got punished just before the Polish special. Edit: I am not a full expert but the paint always looks too thick. Considered sanding it down?

    • @DieCastRestos
      @DieCastRestos  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      With this it’s an automotive paint so significantly thicker than the Tamiya modelling paints I’d usually use. That’s one main drawback to rattle cans over airbrush, not being able to make use of thinners
