What I want to know is the stats. What is the percentage of fatalities in street racing, and is it enough to justify billions of dollars in cameras and facial recognition software, I’m going to bet it isn’t. I mean, I know people crash, but I’ll bet drunk driving fatalities way outweigh street racing and yet racing is talked about like it’s the biggest threat out there. It seems like a good way for cops to say “hey look, we’re protecting the streets, chasing people who drive too fast definitely justifies our jobs and the massive amount of tax payers money we spend. Forget about the rampant drug problem in this country we are failing at stopping. look, we caught this kid driving too fast”. Their priorities seem fucked up to me
