You do have trouble fitting the L Plates to it legally though. That rear one would probably not comply. I attached two small aluminium batons to the lower section of the rear numberplate with double-sided 3M and put the L Plate on that. The front one went onto the Commuter windshield that I had fitted. We have a local traffic cop here who has earned the nickname "Copzilla" and he apparently adores pulling over Learners for incorrectly fitted or trimmed plates. No chance with mine!
While you are getting used to the performance as a Learner, try using the Custom profile and setting it up as "Eco-lite". I started at 30% max torque and 70mph limit till I was used to the bike then just swapped to the normal Eco.

That 11Kw is constant power, but max power is 44Kw. Electric motorcycles are classified by their constant power and this can sustain 100km/h speed at 11Kw. If you got the knowledge you could build bike like this for 6000 euros because price of batteries have gone down and controllers and motors aren't that expensive either.

    • @TheFlatEarthChannelcom
      @TheFlatEarthChannelcom 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

TheNone724 yup motors are dirt cheap. I just built my own electric motorcycle and it’s just as fast for a fraction of the cost. Electric motorcycle are the future. Parts are so easily swappable it feels like building a desktop computer. So easy and so much power. My bike is 5 Seconds 0-100kph with a 8kw motor hub with peak of 16kw. Pretty fast for a motor hub vs a belt driven system. I prefer quiet bike and no moving parts so less maintenance.

Well belive it I think it's great for learners as they get ready and expect the power when they come to their Class A. Problem I have with the current CBT A1 A2 rubbish is that you need pay lots of money to practice on more power and get used to it for your full test. This bike provides the acceleration needed to get used to a 600cc or eahatever examiner accepts. I hate bike nerds trying to say no to others, they forgot to keep their nose out and just mind their own business after all it is still 11kw. The nsr 125 only produces over 11kw above 5krpm so they limited the revs with electric a small mosfet current regulator limits it to 11kw

Hi - you can get it from Saltire Motorcycles in Edinburgh - www.saltiremotorcycles.com/. Legal on a CBT and that's why everyone is surprised because it has way faster acceleration than a 125cc (quicker acceleration than my Honda NC750x). Home charging is roughly £2.60 to fully charge from empty for about 100 miles of mixed riding. So 200 miles a week for £5. I've bought one - picking up this Saturday.

Weird one here they advertise it as just the long range model " Zero S offers the highest range in the Zero lineup." which makes sense lower the output increase the range most petrol 125's are fine on UK roads for 90% of commuter travel. buutt :D why is it bang on 11kw and not 15kw...that's the marketing it's on the European limit and that's for petrol 11kw. On a petrol 125 you'll see that 11kw for a very short time as it gets you to 72-80mph in 14 secs or up to 60 mph in 13.
11kw on an electric? Well that's all the time. So suddenly those 125 specs aren't an issue,
    Going up hill? 11kw
    Hitting a head wind? 11kw
    Off the line? 11kw.
That is the difference and one the petrol 125's can't hit Suzuki's 125 gsxr is lightest in class and still the performance of the 11 year old YZF pretty much this is is the equivalent of an SV with a tune towards acceleration.
Also slight Spanish correction Juan sounds more like one no hard J

So the A1 variant is allowed can to do a peak of 59bhp but only continuous of 14.7 bhp ?
If this is the case, I can't see the legislators ignoring this for long if more affordable A1 electric bikes are made and lots of learners are on rocket ship bikes.
I thought electric bikes gave rapid acceleration due to max torque at zero rpm.
It is an impressive machine , I was tempted around the time I bought my Honda Cb125r. The extra £6500 and questionable resale value (although would have I wanted to get rid of it?) put me off.
    (plus charging)
Now all they need is the bass tube fake exhaust, and to make one for £5k :)

The price of a new battery will absolutely make your jaw drop.... in this video I see that they display the five year warranty on the battery sticker notice.Ask the dealer owner what the cost of a new battery is if it goes bad after the warranty expires. If that person tells you that the battery cost is under $20,000, you get them to sign a document guaranteeing that low price and get it notarized and witnessed. Also get them to guarantee that they will supply you with a brand new battery for that price in writing, and get that witnessed and notarized......I am not going to tell you how much because you will not believe how much the battery costs.. A friend of mine has zero that he screwed up And ran his battery down too low., he tried everything that the reps on the phone told him to do Trying to bring the battery back to life, he made many calls, searched the Internet, they concluded that his battery is bad and needs replaced. His zero has been sitting for over a year now in the corner of his garage with no battery in it. He is going to part the machine out..If you are considering buying an electric vehicle, please do yourself a favor and find out how much a replacement battery costs. I’m sure the price will come down, ..........someday

I don’t know how much that is in real money, but I’m glad you checked for yourself. I didn’t believe it either. Call your local zero motorcycle dealer and ask for a price of a battery. people told me that the battery can be rebuilt, if you do it yourself, they think, for approximately US$6000. ...It’s $6000 for each of the seven sections of the battery. 7×6 = 42
