Amatrol's Portable Electric Motor Control Troubleshooting Learning System (990-MC1F) is a compact, portable trainer teaches users the operation, installation, and applications for electric relay control of AC motors, which is a vital skillset for many careers in a variety of industries.
The 990-MC1F comes equipped with industry-standard components, such as a 3-phase AC squirrel cage motor, a drum switch, reversing motor contactors, a pressure switch, and a float switch. Lockout/tagout components are also included to teach crucial safety steps for working with industrial motors. An installation guide, instructor’s guide, and student reference guide are also included.
Using the included multimedia curriculum, users learn real hands-on skills, such as starting and stopping a motor using a manual starter; connecting and operating a basic electrical control circuit that uses a pushbutton switch; and designing a motor reversing circuit that uses a drum switch and a magnetic motor starter. A virtual simulator is included in this eLearning and offers a digital alternative for flexibility when users are learning remotely or when a physical trainer must be shared by multiple learners.
The system also features FaultPro, Amatrol’s premier computer-based fault-insertion system. With this tool, users learn motor control troubleshooting skills, such as troubleshooting a 3-wire control system.
