Agreed! He conveys just the right amount of information and makes it completely digestible in one pass. In this video he educated us in about 11 minutes where others would have taken 35 minutes to convey the same information. Really a gem of a channel.
Thanks for another great video which distills a complex topic into something understandable. Using the DSP delay was a genius move because it keeps you from getting lost in the specifics of particular delay pedals. This way, we can learn the general concepts involved then apply them ourselves to delay pedals we might be interested in.
Hello there Paul. Another good time watching one of your vids. I truly mean it when I say you have a way of inspiring me to play!! I need that these days. OK......I have the dreaded amp question that I'm sure you feel put on the spot when asked,but......here goes. I'm looking for an amp again.....LOL......and I'm stuck on finding one with stereo returns in the fx loop. Of course that puts my choices at a minimum right off the bat. I know of a few which include the Marshall JVM stuff, a few KOCH amps, Diezel, and a Peavey amp. Rivera makes a recording amp called "Venus Recording" that looks nice, but what do you think? Should I ditch the idea and do what I have been and use 2 amps? Recording is what I'm after so i guess I'm up for suggestions. Thx soooooo much Paul and sorry for this long post!! Cheers Fran, I’m not that familiar with stereo effects loops on amps. If its just for recording and you want to use stereo fx there are plenty of ways to do that with your interface. Meaning record your amp tone and then have your pedals rigged up using your interface. This is vey interface specific but thats how i do it with a Universal Audio Apollo.

I'm not good with tech stuff so I would like to try these IR's. 400 bucks isn't too much for a real Made in Japan pedal. Could I just use it as a pedal for the front of the amp or in the effects loop? like any other pedal as an effects tool. Thanks J.

Hey Paul, I've gotten alot from your videos about the katana! Just wondering if you could do one of the pitch shifter? If you've already done one, I'm sorry, i can't seem to find it,.. the only videos I can find on it are kind of old from the mark 1 era. I kind of got it but it just doesn't seem to be tracking too good with my Roland expression pedal.
Reference to the U2 Delay...you could make the dotted 8th click faster using the tempo yes? or what would be the setting for it to be a little bit more faster? thank you!
Great dive into a specific effect Paul. I love messing with delay I still have two Mk2 echoplex’s in my current setup. I thought you might have given a bit of a nod to the master of delay John Martyn who people like Dave Gilmore & the Edge always name drop him as their biggest influence due to his use of delay. The ir200 isn’t really designed for that as the IR side of things would need to be bypassed. but yes you could.
