Great tutorial! I love the quick way you move through this without a lot of unnecessary talking to confuse me. Thanks for sharing!

The best guru for EVERYTHING! If you are here for the first time! Welcome to Cricut heaven ! 🥰👍🏾 aunti Jenny M.
This is so neat. I have heard other designers talking about wet transfer but never saw it done. Thank you for teaching me a new trick. I love your designs.
Glad it was helpful!
My Granddaughter is new to Cricut. I recommended she follow your tutorials. She is now hooked. The world has another crafter.
That is wonderful to hear! 💗
I made vinyl signs as a graphic designer for several years. We used MacTac, an adhesive glue spray. But, when we ran out we would use Windex window spray. Both worked great. We only sprayed the surface we were applying the vinyl to not the vinyl. You don’t don’t need to wait for it dry either. We made huge signs and would tape hinge the vinyl to the window or substraight. This made positioning the vinyl more accurate. Also, we wouldn’t remove the transfer tape completely either. We would remove only a few inches at a time so we could control the vinyl better. I’ve gotten out of the habit of doing it this way because with the Cricut my designs are much smaller. (I would cut 48” x 60”+!) definitely a two person job! Glad you discovered this technique and are sharing it.
Thanks for the information! 😃
I would be totally lost without you!
My friend bought a cricut and said it was to hard to figure out. I sent her some of your videos, and now, she makes things all the time! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!

First, I absolutely love your living room wall. That and your outfit were giving me retro vibes which I love! I also had never heard of the transfer paper. Will have to try it out in the future! Thank you for a well explained video!

Very good video. I’m inspired. Thank you.
So glad you liked it! 💗
Thanks Jennifer. I have had problems getting my designs straight - so this method will help a lot.
So glad to hear it will help!
I've tried the wet method before & it never worked for me, but after watching this video, I'm pretty sure I was rushing things. I'll definitely have to give it another try! Jennifer, I'd love to see this done with larger pieces of vinyl, where there is more opportunity for bubbles to form. Seeing you make this happen is inspiring! Thank you for this video!
You are very welcome, Alicia!
@@JenniferMaker Whee!!! I finally got the chance to try the wet method again (a few decals on my car), & it looks like it worked PERFECTLY!! I got some of the transfer paper for Christmas, so I decided to give that a try. The reason I had a problem previously was that I didn't know you were supposed to let it dry for a while after applying. I thought you put it on, squeegeed, & immediately removed the tape or paper. Thanks so much for this video, Jennifer - I'm over the moon right now! :-)
Thanks for the amazing heart designs and the instructions for wet transfer. I would never have tried this design before your video.
Glad it was helpful!
I will definitely be trying this!
Yay! 😃

Thank you for this great tutorial. Can't wait to try it but first I have to get my vinyl to stick to the transfer tape or paper. Neither is working and I've tried every brand of vinyl I own. Lol I think there's a hex on me

Thank you so much for your tutorial! 🤩 I have a question: which method is better to use on curved wine tumblers? Thank you for your answer 🌻
Here are some tips for curved wine glasses. jennifermaker.com/personalized-wine-glasses/
Thank you 🥰
You’re welcome 😊
I have the hardest time transferring the vinyl to anything. Especially intricate fonts. I never knew there was a transfer paper. I'm definitely ready to try this with the paper. I'm tired of wasting money on different transfer tapes.
Give it a try! Thank you for watching, Paula!
Thank you!!.. I'm definitely doing this projects
You are so welcome!
This was so helpful! Thank you.
You're so welcome!
Thank you for sharing this. So clever and amazing. I know you've done a tutorial on the foil transfer sheets, but I'm not having great results. What weight of cardstock do you recommend? I've tried, 65#, 80# and 120# with equal results, some skipped areas when the foil appears to be flat. Any tips you can provide would help. I've invested heavily and can't seem to make this work. Thank you. Your videos are also concise and clear.
I usually use 65 LB card stock for most of my projects.
Hello, Jennifer!
This was a wonderful tutorial. Thank you and thank you for the designs. May I ask which transfer PAPER you prefer? I have been using the tape, but after seeing this tutorial, I want to try the paper.
Thank you!
It depends on what project I am doing. I have a link to the transfer paper in the materials list here. jennifermaker.com/how-to-apply-vinyl-with-the-wet-method/ 💜
Wow looks so beautiful 😍
Thank you for watching!
Thanks for sharing

This could be pretty embarrassing to me. When I was having trouble getting bubbles out a few weeks ago, my husband insisted that I could do a better job if I wet it. After all, he said he had been putting on decals for years and HE knew how to do it. I pooh poohed him and said he didn’t know about this material, though, and that it could absolutely not be applied wet. Sigh. Are you going to prove me soooo wrong? Will I have to eat crow?
Susan, my guy Greg did sign installation for several years. So when I began crafting with vinyl, he had many suggestions too. I was also skeptical of his advice at first, I will admit. But I've found his experiences DO help me. Greg taught me how to get transfer tape off the back of vinyl (when applying it to something) better, for example. So the answer to your question is ... probably, yes. But you can blame me for not teaching you this technique earlier!
@@JenniferMaker lol
@@JenniferMaker ha! Well, that’s exactly what I was going to do. 😘. I’m an old broad so I know how to extricate myself from these situations! I just wish I hadn’t been so definitive about it not being possible! Nah, I’ll take the “told you so” cuz it’s such a great idea and I can’t wait to try it. Thank you for all that you do!
Lmao did you tell hubs yet
@@Blahblahblah769 honestly? No! 🤭 There’s a right time for everything…😏
love it thanks for the video
Thank you! So happy you love it! 😊🌻
Thank you
You're welcome! 😊
Great! Love your presentations!
Thanks so much!
Thank You so much for doing this. I was wondering if this method could be done with transfer paper. ❤
Yes!
Beautiful! Thanks!
You are so very welcome! 💗
Will this method work well with putting vinyl on acrylic keychains
Whenever I try to transfer a decal with small pieces, the pieces stay on the transfer tape no matter how hard I push down to burnish them. Do you have to wait a while before pulling off the tape? or what am I doing wrong?
You may not be waiting long enough.
I had wondered if you could do this, since this method is how you apply some screen protectors to phones. I was doing a humpback whale in vinyl to cover a company logo on a hot/cold drink container and wished I had seen this video before I started, lol. Thanks for showing how to do this with both types of transfer.
You are so welcome! 💜
Thank you for sharing this with us and THANK YOU to the person that first thought of trying this. I wonder if this might work if I were to seal a wood sign first before applying the vinyl.
There isn’t much difference between glass and sealed wood, so it should work, but the drying time might be longer
You're welcome! Yes, wood needs to be sealed and smooth for this technique.
