    I added wfp to my service this year I explain the frames are cleaned and no soap film on the windows and so far they all say it makes sense and are amazed with the results still waiting for the First complaint

      What do you tell the customer when the window isn't completely dry once you are done? Or are they ever that worried about it? Is this something you tell them up front before you start working?

    I can see the thing with the hydro.. however if you take wfp seriously I think you will soon get bored lugging that lump in and out ....
    But if you have a decent van mount make sure you explain how much you've invested etc and customers are happy.
    Use a larger van and you'll be sorted
    Good points raised though

      Brian Barber I know we love our van mounts in the uk. I have all these different bits of kit and only a small van at the moment, so the hydro-RO works for me. I’m not using it all day every day at the moment. I load up the kit I need for each day.💪🏼😃💦👍🏼

    What is the consequence of not using pure water to clean windows, when traditional window cleaners have been using tap water forever, or is the problem being caused because WFP method leaves the rinse water to dry or run off the window?

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is plenty of room out there for both methods, but wfp has made a massive difference to my business.😃👍🏼

    • @jessies1509
      @jessies1509 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      When traditional window cleaners use tap water, they still go by and squeegee the windows off after. With pure water, you just scrub, rinse and go so you ca get a lot more done in a shorter amount of time.

If you guarantee a good result and tell them if windows arent perfect you will not charge they will agree and never go back to traditional. I do get alot more people asking for pure water as they dont want people walking on their roofs and want frames cleaned

    WFP is always the B option for me but to sell it I tell the customer that traditional method will leave a film of soap on their glass that they can not see and it will attract dirt again faster. It might be bullshit....? but I believe it to be true so I am not talking shit to them. When the customer here's that they are happy to have me use DI water and a WFP

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nicholas Evans I like GG4 for Trad, it really seems to make the windows sparkle which you don’t get from wfp. But I love the way wfp washes the whole window more thoroughly. 😃💦👍🏼

    • @andrewcheadle948
      @andrewcheadle948 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Some cleaners wfp the tops and trad clean the bottoms, I'm wondering if any customer ever has complained that the bottom windows have attracted the dirt more, because of a soap film left on them..... Not that I've ever heard of....

    This whole debate isn't about WFP v soap& squeegee. It's about something more fundamental .... MONEY!! I guarantee that if you say £25 trad or £18 wfp the client will choose wfp. End of.

  • @Chef2866
    @Chef2866 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Lugging that around 20+ calls per day.. No thank you.
    Just do a proper job on the wfp and if you do their isn’t many customers that will have a issue, the only feedback I usually get is how shiny and new their units are cleaned that way.
    Any that have a issue with the wfp method need to hold onto their ageing trads and hope their still around for aslong as they are as for me those types ain’t worth being on my books

    Here's the difference, WFP is not consistent, using squeegee, traditional cleaning will give 100% results, all the time , cannot say the same for WFP, it looks bad for business. Think about it , your customers could buy a WFP and do it themselves, no ladders etc .

      That's why I built up a business which is too busy to keep on top of with wfp.
      Was traditional for 25 years but now fully water fed.
      Just need to explain to customers.
      If they have had a bad experience then you say I will clean it don't pay me unless you are happy.
      Never had someone not pay me.
      It's the splash n dash cowboys who give us a bad name.
      All my customers like it and I have some who moan about their ex traditional window cleaner using dirty water and wiping a dirty cloth round their frames.
