My dad was a over the road truck driver. Coast to coast ever week and he talked about those damn idiots that you just mentioned. Made him mad as hell! He would agree with you 100%. But he’s passed on now so just the memories! Thanks brother!

Your opening comment, about 4wheelers cutting off big rigs,
was spot on!(from a “son of a trucker”) l did spend some time behind the wheel when I got old enough to do it legally…but, I had A LOT of hours in the jump seat watching a lot ignorant drivers to some REALLY stupid shit!

Reminds me of a taught lesson when you discussed the Miata and a semi truck. "When crossing rail road tracks, just keep in mind, the train never looses".

I've done things like put a jack under the axle to get my ramps out and even used extra ramps and chain them down to support the back axle. I've had three extra cab long bed trucks on a 53'. Even had two 20' and one 40' containers on that same trailer. I miss trucking.

I bought a new 2005 Dodge Ram 2500, last of the 5.9's, 6 speed manual, black, 4x4, quad cab, long bed truck that I still have today with only 113K miles on it. Love that truck and it was only $35K back in 2005. 100K for a new truck is crazy!!
I bought a new one in 2001 and it was $32k. Wish I still had it today!

Just started putting a '49 f135 body on a first gen 12 valve 4x4 chassis. Have to thank Steve and the Welderup crew for the inspiration and drive for all of my rat rod builds. Keep it up!

Dammit Man...I remember prepping these when they were brandy new, at the Dodge dealership. We sold the crap out of these trucks. People loved them, although I also remember rebuilding the Transmisson in a ton of them as well.

Love those 2nd generation Dodge truck had to get rid of my 02 because of California emissions I'm running an F250 now but I'm thinking on going for one of those early trucks whenever I can find an affordable one
