Great video and also nice catches! 11:02 A Frecciarossa 1000 or series 109 owned by Iryo, doing tests before their debut later this year 11:06 Class 490 trainsets being refurbished near Málaga. 490s are also Fiat trains, similar to Alfa Pendular and predecessor of your class 104 train. They were sitting abandoned for some years now because of issues in the bogies, and they finally got around to putting them in service again.
How far in advance did you purchase your tickets with Renfe? I'm having trouble finding trains in advance (2 months). We are hopefully going from Seville to Malaga and then Granada. I tried to watch your related video of those but it says it's a private video so I couldnt' watch it. Thanks so much for these helpful tips!!!
For these trains you can sometimes only book one month in advance. It's really annoying, in Spain some trains you can book a long time in advance and others only a month. For the routes you're mentioning it's about a month in advance.
I dint know anything about taxi's obviously. However there are very frequent trains from the airport of Malaga to the main station (Malaga Maria Zambrano). From there on you can travel to Granada by train. The train ticket from the main station to Granada can be bought via www.trainline.eu
You need to change trains in Malaga and take the local trains from Malaga, those trains will go every 20 minutes or so. The trains between Granada and Malaga are less frequent.
Thanks for showing each of the cars, toilets, etc - helpful for an anxious traveler to watch :)

Great report - really interesting to see what a Renfe short distance high speed train is like. It was exciting to spot the new Iryo set too!!!!!
Yeah, actually can't wait to travel with the Iryo trains. However, I don't live I Spain so it would take some time before I'll do that.
As always a great video! - and nice catch of one of the new Iryo trains!
Yes, I really wanted to catch those new Iryo trains I the video haha.
Great report! Thanks!
Great trip report

You should maybe collab with René Hameleers (Euro Rails).
Could be very nice
Planning to go to Spain in April. Can I take a train from Malaga airport to Granada? If not, how much would a cab ride cost?

@@Trainviking Thank you so much for your response. This is very helpful :)
Is it allowed to take 85 cm bag in Granada-Malaga train?
I'm not an official to say what's allowed and what's not, however this is a train, not a plane so it should be fine.
Let me thank you first . Can you please tell us if there is a transportation from Malaga airport direct to Granada .

How many luggages can u take in Spanish trains? I have 2 , large one and carry on.
That should be no problem as far as I know. In Spain the rules are a bit more strict though, so per route / company this might be differentm
