Our last bill for the summer was $6,900 buddy. For two months. Most I've ever paid in Taiwan, dunno what happened! They must have raised the rates for the summer. I heard Cole had it worse.
Electricity bill cost will be much cheaper if use Inverter air conditioner and Inverter refrigerator . Next time could find a apartment with an Inverter air conditioner , it's really save much money on electric bill 😄

I think what I find the most weird about Taiwanese bathrooms is the showerhead. They’re not made to stand under hands free because they’re not adjustable and often are so upright they just spray directly into the opposite wall at head height. I’m short so all it does is hit my head and not touch my body at all. I guess people just use the hand held shower head to rinse their body off.
@@Prozzie I forget sometimes when I go back to Taiwan to visit too! I also occasionally get smacked in the face with water while trying to turn it off.
My electricity bill last month was NZ$301 so about 6400 NT. About half of that is the connection charge which is something like NZ$5 / 100 NT a day. I don't have AC and I have a fireplace for heat so all I use electricity for is lighting and cooking.
I want to move to Taiwan, but I cant find an apartment building with floor to ceiling windows. These types of apartments are common in HK. But I can not find it in Taiwan. When I had Realtors looking for me they suggested buying a property and knocking out the walls. I need windows and light!
@@四處看看 591 has to be one of the worst websites I have ever used for housing. You search and you get everything from an old retail store to abandoned warehouses. I looked at lest 20 apartments and never found a single one with floor to ceiling windows. Everything is so dark and depressing.
@@Prozzie Definitely insane when you think about it. I was literally just thinking, Why don't they have AC units that can blow into multiple bedrooms! - Only needing one unit. Similar to central cooling we are used to but with output simple tubes.
@@cooliipie probably because many apartments like mine are literally just one room, so I don’t need something like that. And if you have multiple rooms you probably want to control which rooms are getting cooled down and which ones aren’t to save money. I live near the new Costco in Beitun in a 3 bedroom apartment and only pay $3500 for two months of electricity with 4 ACs. Your landlord is a scammer haha.
you live in a hotel room. I might do that if i died after my spouse, because I can't manage anything more than a hotel room. You should never live in a space that is bigger than your ability to manage it.
