Interesting take on raising kids US vs Taiwan. My wife (Taiwan) and I (USA) are currently raising our ron on Hong Kong. We recently went to Taiwan to see if there was a reasonable place to raise our boy. We had a lifestyle checklist that we were trying to achieve. Apartment with big windows and views, Walkable, Near food/stores, near public transportation, international schools, some expats. We just couldent find anything that met our criteria. But we also decided against moving to the US for some of the same reasons, with safety a top concern. The only places that came close to our requirements in Taiwan were every bit as expensive as Hong Kong.

I can’t decide with US schools vs Taiwanese schools. On one hand they’re right about the open mindedness and less pressure in the US. On the other hand we have school shootings and two months ago there was a stabbing where a child died at my friend’s child’s school. In the end it likely depends on where you live within the US. Public education used to be strong where I live but lack of teacher salary raises, and shift to privatized schools and charters have really taken a toll on education here. Even the openmindness is disappearing. If you asked me 10 years ago if I would want to raise a child here or Taiwan I would have said here. Now I’m no longer sure.
I think you could make the argument that it’s just as likely a student gets hit by a car or something here than it is to get shot in the states. I think it comes down to what you can afford and if you want your child speaking Chinese or not
school is much much much more stressful in Taiwan than in western countries.. I'm just experiencing elementary school here. My wife is taking a lot care about it - I'm useless in that manner since I cannot write chinese but I see the effort.
I'm new to the channel but I've watched your vids. Always wondered about your experience meeting people in your love life in Taiwan. Arent you dating anyone? How come not married yet (now I sound like a Chinese grandma)😂
Prozzie, tell Sean and Vickii that if they can raise the kids in Taiwan and speak English at home do that. My wife speaks to the kids in Mandarin, but they have a distinct English accent. They can hear Mandarin, but their speaking is very weak. Also, tell them that going back during summer is harder and harder as they get older. We only get to go back lime every 4 years. With Covid, we haven't been back for 8 years. The boys are cute though.

Why you brought a lot of food from Taiwan to France, if can you live without it?

Miss you guys loads! Can’t wait to see what amazing videos you guys post
Such a cool blast from the past to see those two back again. Hopefully they can revive their channel, I’m still sub’d to it too!
Thank you and hopefully we will be posting again soon!
Welcome back Sean and Vicki to Prozzie’s show ☺️👍
Always loved U Prozz but you are truly improved Prozz 2.0. Good for you, brother.
So cute. Yeah, the Chinese always had second looks at my son. Both here in Australia and in China...
We are gonna raise ours here 😎 we are way more financially stable as educators here compared to back in the US

Even peripheral view on a child in the states….FBI open up!

There’s not a chance I would raise my children in a school in the west , you see the shit there teaching them
I’m not going to disagree with what you’re saying but the misuse of the word “there” is hilariously ironic 😂
@@Prozzie haha even more reason why kids should learn in Asia, they focus on writing haha
Hopefully, they don't raise the kids in CA! too left, crazy!😊
Are you thinking of being a Dad. OMG.
Awesome, carry on..
