How to Fix "There are Currently No Power Options Available" | UPDATED

- Some Windows users receive a "There is currently no power option available" error when trying to click the power icon on the Start menu. The problem mainly occurs in Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. Affected users report that they suddenly lost all available power options. You will no longer be able to use the shutdown, restart, hibernate, or shutdown options. Sleep options.
Registry Editor Path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
Commands:
1. taskkill /im explorer.exe /f
2. explorer.exe

This is AMAZING!! This problem arised on my laptop after I gave an exam using the "secured browser" provided by that exam conductor. This video not only saved us from paying the fees for resolving this problems, but also prevented me from lashing at that examination department for what they have done to my laptop. Thanks man👍!!

What to do I had done this process but after entering in command prompt I am getting blank white screen what to do?
WOW. Heading into the video I was100% sure this 3 min video will not fix it. But I am shocked after seeing it literally fixed it. Kudos to you boy. You have no idea how frustrating it was for past 2 years to sign out and shutdown the laptop later.

The reasons for it could be various and one of the common reasons is system file corruption. If you are experiencing Windows 10 power settings not working issue, don’t worry.

Method 2: Using Command Prompt to restore the Power Options
Some users have managed to resolve the issue by running a command inside an elevated Command Prompt window. There are two main commands that affected users have successfully used to resolve the ‘There are currently no power options available’.
We advise you to deploy both in the order recommended by us and see if one manages to resolve the issue for you.
Here’s a quick guide on how to do this:
Press Windows key + R to open up a Run dialog box. Then, type “cmd” and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter to open up an elevated Command prompt. When prompted by the UAC (User Account Control), click Yes to add administrative privileges.
Inside the elevated Command Prompt, run the following command to restore the default Power schemes and press Enter:
powercfg -restoredefaultschemes
Restart your computer and see if the issue has been resolved at the next startup. If you’re still encountering the same issue at the next boot, follow step 1 again and continue with step 4 below.
Inside the elevated Command Prompt, type/paste the following command and press Enter:
secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\inf\defltbase.inf /db defltbase.sdb /verbose
Once the command has been successfully processed, restart your computer to enforce the changes.
