Hey there! We managed to play a rule wrong, and my excuse is that I read the rules while mostly asleep in Essen 😂 In phase 2 (scoring) you go back and forth between the players, scoring once each, and then filling the bonus tile display between each players turn! Glad to have you in the comment section! If this is your first time here, we hope you enjoyed the video, and we'd love to have you on board as a subscriber! :)
an old video that I am just now watching because I just bought this version. You two are always so fun to watch/listen to. Thanks for a great video per usual.
How did I manage to misread that. I'm gonna use the same excuse again: The rules was read late at night one evening at Spiel ;) I was probably sleeping when I read them! Won't change our feelings of the game, but thank you so much for pointing it out!
I’m pretty sure phase 2 should proceed with each player making one placement, and then play passing to the next player, and so on, instead of the first player making all her placements, followed by the next player, as you played it. I’m glad to get to see the game played!
You are correct! Read the rules while mostly asleep in Essen, so that is my excuse! Thank you for letting us know, and I’m happy it’s not a huge rule that we missed!
Great play-through, it seems like a fun game. My wife and I really enjoy the first Azul and this one looks like it will be a wonderful addition. Thanks for sharing. 🙂 Also, The last 9 or 10 minutes of the video is just blank screen, not sure if you are aware of it.
Hey! Thank you! Hope you’ll get the game, and have fun playing a lot 😃 Yes, was aware of the black screen, but thought I had it fixed in YT. Will need to try again tomorrow! Thanks for letting me know!
I learned Azul: Summer Pavilion yesterday and a question arose: If a color is a round's joker, can you still play that colors tile in it's color's area on the board or in the middle? Example: Orange is the round's joker tile. Can I use three orange tiles to place an orange tile on the 3 orange spot? Example #2: Orange is the round's joker tile. Can I use three orange tiles to place an orange tile on the middle area's three spot?
Thank you very much for the video. I am going to play this game today for a first time. Video is great. Love the explanations during the play. Thank you again.
Hey, thank you! Keep in mind that we played two small rules wrong: You start with 5 points, and you do the scoring one at a time. So I score one placement, then you, and around the table, and you fill the middle display between each player. Hope you’ll have fun 😁
Hi ! I really like Azul, I have only the first version of the game, unfortunately in our country, the new version will not appear very soon, but buying abroad is expensive. You showed the game very cool, now you really want to get it into your collection. By the way, I watched your videos do you have a very large collection of games, maybe make a video about your home games collection? what is at home what you play. Thank!
Hey :) Glad you enjoyed the playthrough! The game is good, and I hope you'll get to play it soon :) Yes, we do have a pretty large collection, around 500-600 games I think. We just sold and gave away quite a few games, so I don't know exactly, hehe. The thought of doing a "every game in the collection" series is in our plans, so we'll see when and how it will end up! Thanks for watching :D
Good Video, however, you played it wrong. Starting score marker for the players start on 5, and when placing tiles, you are supposed to play ONE tile, then the other player plays one tile, and alternate until the players pass or cannot play any more tiles.
Joseph A Nardi Thanks for watching! Yes, we found out of that, and have added it in the sticky comment, but thank you for letting us, and everyone else, know! Always helpful when you find out that you did something wrong :) I am not sure how I like the actual scoring rules, as they will make the game slower, but we’ll try the correct rules soon! Again, thank you so much for watching :D
Hey, I know this is all fun and games but I would like to mention for other viewers that multiple mistakes were made from the start. I'll say the ones I can remember. 1. Both players should start of 5 points as you may get minus points in the first round 2. You didn't do the minus points from collecting from the centre (off market places) 3. You placed more than 1 tiles on the board in one turn, this is incorrect as you can only do this at the end of the turn if your opponent can't play any more tiles.

Fun playthrough as always. We have the first edition of Azul it's fun, super nice board on this one. Thanks for the video :)
Thank you for watching! We’ll probably do a couple more play-throughs of other Spiel titles in the coming months!
Great play-through . One mistake. You need start not on 1st space, but on 5th.

Just ordered this. Looking forward to trying it out
Have fun 🥳

@Isaac Baylor Lately I have been using FlixZone. Just google for it :)
@Nickolas Reuben Yea, I've been using flixzone for since april myself =)
@Nickolas Reuben thanks, signed up and it seems like a nice service :) I really appreciate it !
That was some good joker joking!!... Great vid. too. Cheers!!
Thanks :D We are planning to do more play-throughs soon!
Are you supposed to subtract a point for every tile you throw in the tower?
No
