My game group never has long playtimes with Rune Stones... (usually 60-75 min) this includes having the expansion and queenie. We also realize that it's not worth handing in 2/3 artifacts at a time and all typically hold off for 4 or 5. I believe that's where your play time ran long.
I did end up buying it, and then gifted that copy to family members while traveling because they enjoyed playing it so much :P Guess I need to go buy a new copy now...
I also don't think the turn times while placing tiles takes as long as he says.... there's nothing to really think about, YOU drafted those tiles, you know where you want to put them... also, if you need to think of where to place then do it while your opponents are placing theres... simple
Did you say Rudiger Dorn designed Iquazu? I think you meant Istanbul? Iquazu was designed by Michael Feldkotter. Also, I'm very much intrigued by Illusion thanks to your comments.
Azul is especially nice with 2. :)
I imagine it's far better at lower counts due to the length of the tile laying phase.
Expedition to Newdale speaks to me, especially already being a fan of the Longsdale games.
0:24, sorry did you say we could earn "cruel perks"?

That's certainly possible, yeah. We were excited to try the Runestones and cashed in early to get them out which did I think drag the game out.
Think I'll buy Illusion, thanks!

Which Azul do you like better if you can just keep one?
SP is my favorite by far
That's the one I am thinking to get, thanks

I think Stained Glass is my current favorite. Summer Pavillion was quite interesting, but the game length means it's not one I want to seek out.
Thanks for the reply, I have Sagrada too, I didn't get to try Sintra yet.

Huh, no it looks like I was just mistaken about the designer of Iquazu. I'll add a correction to the Klingon subtitles, thanks for pointing that out!
Illusion is quite good. Quick, simple, tense. Good fun! If we manage to play together somewhere (JAB?), I'll try to bring it!
@@JcGareau Absolutely!!
