I waited on Josh when he was filming a movie in my city. He was so polite and courteous. Surprisingly tall and buff. Had such a presence. He would make an amazing stage actor. He was very level headed and just a chill individual. And the camera does not give justice to how beautiful he is.
This happens a lot with these celeb movie timeline videos, my theory is maybe it could be when a film becomes controversial or they had a bad experience working on the movie. However i am not aware of anything bad associated with this movie but maybe he just didnt like working on it.
Am I the only one who thinks Josh Hartnett has only gotten BETTER with age!? He seems to have more depth and personality than when he was younger - he's settled into himself. I firmly believe his best is yet to come!

To all the 35yr olds and up(I'm 38) we gotta say Thank you for actually posting this one because we as an audience who grew up knowing that Josh Harnett would become an awesome actor and seeing him in Oppenheimer and now the new M. Night film is like a fresh breath of new air. Seeing him as a respectable classy actor then and now is a rare class act we get to see nowadays. Pearl Harbor is my favorite because it bonded me and my dear friend Amanda who sadly passed away 12 years ago. Our friendship was so much watch Hartnett and Affleck films together that I have a strong sentimental love for Hartnett and Affleck

Stoked he started acting again. When I saw him in Penny Dreadful I thought that might be a one off, probably one of my favourite roles of his. Taking that break I think did him well. That Black Mirror episode was bananas. Look forward to seeing his new film.
He never stopped acting! Look at his filmography! He fled into independent films to fly under the radar to escape the Hollywood Hunkdom persona they were pushing. If you check streaming you can find a lot of his indies. VOD too.
Wicker park is my tearjerker the music is phenomenal and casting is on point. Just the ending when they finaly see each other again is just... a heart stopping moment

Josh Hartnett seems to be one of the most down to earth actors we have seen in awhile! I am so glad it sounds like he had a fun time making 40 days and 40 nights because I loved that movie and I ALWAYS think of that movie when I see Hartnett haha
It didn't really play with the monsters well though. The monster part of that show was the weakest, the drama was stronger and it was obvious the writer was more interested in the drama between the characters than the monster horror aspect.
Honestly forgot what a heart-throb he was, recently watched Trap with my husband and i was spellbound. Being obsessed with true crime forever it was wonderful to see him hit the nail on the head in terms of portraying a SK. ❤❤
Josh Hartnett is a pleasure to watch on screen, he always manages to come off as genuinely humane and relatable. I can't wait to see Trap on friday, I think he's the perfect casting for the role. Also, Penny Dreadful is extremely underrated. Go watch it if you haven't!

Was so happy to see him back on the big screens when his casting in Wrath of Men and Oppenheimer was announced, and I'm here to experience him getting the recognitions he deserves.

Penny Dreadful mention!! Ugh his performance in that was amazing, so subtle and gentle but also fierce and blunt- Josh handled it so well, wish the show overall got more attention tbh, everyone in it acted their socks off.

I remember my senior year 2005, in the morning I couldn't sleep and went out early for coffee and when I went in to order in the corner of the empty shop there was Josh. We nodded, and I couldn't help but just ask what he was reading. He was reading the script for lucky number slevin. Super humble and down to earth guy. Years later a friend in film college brought me to his house party on lake Calhoun we remembered one another and had an amazing night, it wasnt no diddy party lol. Minnesota nice represent! He needs a come back!
I thought he was gonna have his comeback after Penny Dreadful, but I think that got the attention it deserved. Its so nice to have him back after having him around so much in the late 90's and early 00s.
Likeable dude. Would have liked to hear about The Black Dahlia experience, too. I am kind of sure that was a tough experience and wish Vanity Fair encouraged actors to go through the ups and downs instead of just whitewashing everything.
I watched Pearl Harbor and I remember Josh Hartnett’s character being my first ever film crush. I hadn’t seen him in any other movies until Oppenheimer and I was incredibly excited to see him in it. I’m happy he’s being recognized a lot more now

Black Hawk Down is one of my all time favorites. I was born in 89 so I was growing up during the whole American pie and MTV craze. What a time and definitely this guy was in all the hit movies even 40 days and 40 night!

Sucks they didn't ask him to elaborate a bit on his almost casting as Superman... he squashed rumors that he was asked to play Batman in the Nolan Trilogy, but there's photos leaked online of Hartnett going as far as costume testing for Superman... I think that with a bit of bulking muscle, he could have been an amazing Superman personally.
He was asked to play the Superman role THREE times and he said No 3 x. This would have been a huge payday for his agents so I assume he was doing costume looks for them.

I thought he was gonna have his comeback after Penny Dreadful, but I think that got the attention it deserved. Its so nice to have him back after having him around so much in the late 90's and early 00s.

Likeable dude. Would have liked to hear about The Black Dahlia experience, too. I am kind of sure that was a tough experience and wish Vanity Fair encouraged actors to go through the ups and downs instead of just whitewashing everything.
I watched Pearl Harbor and I remember Josh Hartnett’s character being my first ever film crush. I hadn’t seen him in any other movies until Oppenheimer and I was incredibly excited to see him in it. I’m happy he’s being recognized a lot more now

Black Hawk Down is one of my all time favorites. I was born in 89 so I was growing up during the whole American pie and MTV craze. What a time and definitely this guy was in all the hit movies even 40 days and 40 night!

Sucks they didn't ask him to elaborate a bit on his almost casting as Superman... he squashed rumors that he was asked to play Batman in the Nolan Trilogy, but there's photos leaked online of Hartnett going as far as costume testing for Superman... I think that with a bit of bulking muscle, he could have been an amazing Superman personally.
He was asked to play the Superman role THREE times and he said No 3 x. This would have been a huge payday for his agents so I assume he was doing costume looks for them.
