People in America that don't craft don't realize how expensive yarn or other supplies can be, not to mention how long some items take to make. We're spoiled to cheap imports. Your plush animals and fruits are really cute! I really thought the strawberry was very nice and the velvet penguin was really cute. But all of your items are really good.
Thank you very much!! And you’re so right! I just made up a new sign for my next markets explaining the prices because so many people don’t understand!
It's even more expensive in some other countries and we can't sell for as much as Americans can. 😢
Same in my country but its more harder to find the right yarn i legit get mine from aliexpres or when im overseas for vacation from there i just hope my country becomes more open to crocheters and artists 🥺❤️ maybe one day 😔🙏
Your prices are fine. They are chosen for so many factors that no one can decide but the creator. Good for you having a business so young. Wishing you the best. Take care.
Thank you so much! For some reason people don’t understand that sometimes!
I love how open you are about the whole process start to finish, and that you're not afraid to share actual numbers. Most creators stop short of disclosing pricing. Even on your last Black Friday yarn haul, the extra effort you went to to show the different sales and comparisons between Michaels and Joann's was so helpful. Thank you! I have no idea why but I love those eggs! LOL. Just too cute. maybe its the faces. That said, most of your stuff is just adorable and it is apparent that you enjoy making them.
Thank you so much!! I’m so glad that including the sales on my Black Friday video was helpful! And I’ve actually already made 6 more eggs because they were such a hit at this market and they’re one of my favorites to make too lol! I really enjoy sharing the whole process and I’m so glad that you enjoyed seeing it! 🥰
Good for you standing up for yrself regarding pricing. Buyers often forget that an artisan/crafter's time is valuable and factors into pricing. Having run several businesses as a "maker" over the years, I always recommend to newbies that they track their time spent to make a project, pay themselves a living wage per hour, and let it be reflected in prices. Thanks for sharing your time and talent! Your items are adorable.
Of course and thank you so much!! 🥰 And totally, tracking time is definitely the best way to get an accurate price!
Ohhh der Teddy Bär ist sooo hübsch und der 🐸 soo süß 🥰danke für Dein Video. Du machst tolle Sachen 👍
good for you for not letting people push u around about your prices! too many people online get so much hate cuz something handmade is "too expensive" u got some very cute thingsss esp love the little penguin
You’re so right! So many people are scared to even share their prices because of what other people might say but artists need to make their money back in materials plus the time they spent to make something in order to actually making selling worth it! And thank you very much!! 🥰
Thank you for sharing all your prices and beautiful makes. Everything is super cute and reasonably priced. My favorite is the shark!
Thank you so much!! I love the shark too 🥰
In my opinion all of this is perfect prices because crocheting takes a lot of time and planning so this is really good as well it is so cute 10/10 💯💯💯💯💯💚
Aw thank you so much!
Love how you set a boundary upfront about negativity.
Thank you! I definitely don’t want any negativity :)
You had a great sale! I use safety pins to attach my price tags so no scissors. Also people need to remember that pricing also fluctuates depending on location. I live in a small town/rural area and would not have luck at selling items at higher prices. Great job!
That you!! The safety pins are a great idea! And you’re very right with the pricing
From my own experience at markets, making things that I can comfortably price between $10-$30 max (I'm Canadian so this is in cad) will most likely sell because most people that attend markets are looking to buy multiple things from different vendors, the things i sell the most of are keychains ($10) and medium sized plushies that are either $20 or $25, the only time I sell things that are much more are from commissions I receive after my markets, so made to order items that range from $40-$100. I learnt that making things that don't have a lot of pieces you have to sew on are the best to make for markets (sewing legs, arms, ears, etc. takes sooooo long) I LOVE no sew patterns for markets because they're quick to make and you can make lots of them and it sucks but many people unfortunately compare handmade items to mass produced ones (my mom is my biggest critic on this 😅she will not hesitate to tell me if something is too expensive or not). I can't wait to see more market videos! 🌼
I totally agree! Smaller items definitely do better at markets and I also love no sew or low sew patterns! I plan to design a few no sew patterns for items that sell well for me just so they can be a little bit cheaper for people that don’t have much money to spend. It’s important to make sure you make enough money for your time and materials even if some people think the price is too high there will still be people that understand the pricing and a willing to purchase items :)
This was so helpful, thank you for sharing!
You're prices are completely fair. Crochet projects take a lot of time to complete and some people just don't understand that.
I'm watching these videos as inspiration for the future business I want to create with crochet. I'm getting so many ideas and it's making me so excited for future market visits as well, so thank you!
Of course! I’m so glad you’ve gotten some inspiration! 🥰
I love the fact that you put your foot down & explained what you will tolerate. Everything is hand made and your prices are perfect. Thank you for sharing, please keep them coming. ❤️🌸❤️
Thank you so much!! I just had another market so I’ll have another one of these videos coming soon! 🥰❤️
@@katiebeingcreative awesome, I can’t wait to watch. Thank you 🌸
I think all your stuffies are cute and well priced. Especially for the amount of time it takes to create one. You should be so proud of yourself for having your own business at a young age. These are really cute.
Thank you so much! That is very sweet!! 🥰
Thank you so much for making this video!! It’s super informative but also so inspiring and fun!! 😊
You’re welcome!! I’m so glad you enjoyed this video and thank you for watching! 🥰
So cool. I love the Nemo clownfish too. Sounds like it was a great market for the place it was held. Ty for sharing!
You’re welcome! I really love the clownfish too and I can’t wait to make more!
Stumbled across your channel randomly. I’m just getting into crochet. I love all your cute little plushies. I will be binging all your videos
Welcome to my channel!! And thank you so much for watching! 🥰
What a fun video! I've been scared to try plushy or amigarumi type things yet, but watching this is inspiring! My favorite was the little frog with the hanging arms and legs! He was adorable & I knew he'd be a seller!! Thanks for sharing! ~Liz
Of course! And thank you so much!! I’m so glad I’ve inspired you! 🥰🥰
A tip for you! Don’t put your sales on the tag directly, have a separate sign or tell them about it personally. If you sell one of the corn alone, then the next person who comes along will be confused by the tag because the other is no longer for sale. Plus, if they look at the two tags as $50 and that’s the price, then they learn about the discount after they will think that’s more of a steal than if it’s listed right on the tag.
You did a fantastic job!!! I love the bunny, the bear, the shark, strawberry and blueberry!!! Great work 👍
Thank you very much!! 🥰❤️
Such an amazing young lady! Love your creations. What an inspiration! Be proud! I hit LIKE!
Thank you so much! That is very sweet! 🥰
oh my gosh..everything is so adorably cute! Well done & good luck with your sales! 🧶
Thank you so much!! 🥰
I love your display, I just love how the angry little egg was on top of everything XD it's such a cutie
Thank you so much! It’s definitely my favorite of all the eggs so I’ll have to make more!
Thank you for sharing I love your creations
Of course! Thank you for watching! :)
For the cow Odinka Wisanindhi is a wonderful crochet TH-camr I love and she has some REALLY cute amigurumi tutorials I think you'd love her videos.
Thank you for the recommendation! :)
I love the way you price stuff I learned to sell my stuff from you
That’s awesome! So glad my videos are helpful! 🥰
I love your way of marketing! You've inspired me to sell some of the things I crochet!😊
My favorite stuffie was the shark though👍
Thank you!! So glad I inspired you! 🥰
Wow! You did really good at that market!
Thank you!! It really did go super well!
This really helps me understand what prices I should put and what sells! I personally would have to put the prices lower though because I live in a small town where people just aren’t going to buy it for the price that should honestly be paid.
I’m so glad!
Absolutely amazing, your creations are absolutely adorable and your prices are awesome! I'm so happy for you and your business, very creative 😊
Thank you so much! 🥰❤️
Your products are so cute. I am really impressed!
Thank you so much!!
Bees, octo’s and frogs are my best sellers. Thank you for sharing your makes, because I’m always looking for new plushies to add. I think I may try some mushrooms.
You’re welcome! Mushrooms are definitely a good one to try out, I’ve heard they’re pretty popular for most markets :)
@@katiebeingcreative I also wanted to offer you a tip. You mentioned one of your safety eyes came out. When I put safety eyes on my projects I make with blanket yarn I dip the stem in tacky glue before I push the washer on. I’ve made my grandkids a bunch of stuffed toys and none of the eyes have come out.
@@bonnieocker7349 thank you, I really appreciate the tip! I was thinking about using glue from now on but I wasn’t sure if it would work so I’m glad to hear that it does work well!!
Your soft toys are very cute. I love the Butterfly the best. Well done for all your sales.
Thank you very much! :)
It's not just America, everywhere people don't appreciate the work, the time and the experience you put in the things you do. They almost always think bigger is better. I understand it on fairs and markets people buy smaller cheaper things. And if they want something special they would parches it instead.
Totally! I think it’s everywhere unfortunately
OMG THESE ARE SOOOOOO CUTE!!
Thank you so much! 🥰
My favorite is the cute duck with the floaty.
Thank you! :)
do you think you could do a video on how on how to FIND markets to go to? or if you mention it in another video could you let me know? i want to go to one but don’t know where to start 🥲. also keep up the great work! 💕
Thank you!! 🥰 I made a video a little while ago on how to get started selling at markets and I also mention a few ways to find ones in your area! You can watch that video here: th-cam.com/video/2OLMxWBzEbw/w-d-xo.html :)
@@katiebeingcreative omg thank you so much!! 💕
You’re welcome!! 🥰
these prices are very reasonable, love em! they are so so cute💖
Thank you so much!! 🥰
Thank you for such insightful information ❤
You’re welcome! 🥰
You sold the angry egg!!! 😁 yay!
Yes it did!! I’ll definitely be making more!
Hi Katie love this video ur creations are sooo cute you did so well at the market x
Thank you so much!! I’m so glad you enjoyed this video and my creations! 🥰
You video is very helpful for a newbie seller.....thank you!!
You’re welcome!! I’m so glad you found this video helpful! 🥰
Clown fish is so darn cute
Hiiii! Thank you so much for this informative and fun video! Love your work. The frog with dangling legs is my fav! ❤
Also…price shaming is just rude.
Of course and thank you so much!! 🥰 and I totally agree, I very rarely have people say anything about my prices but I wanted to add the disclaimer just in case
Cute items! I'm glad to see you pricing your items according to your time and talent and cost of goods. I hate it when I see crafters not put value to their time when pricing items, thereby undercutting other crafters who do. A note about the credit card charges being split into to payments. The banks/card companies go by certain business hours per day, so I would guess that at whatever time you saw it split into a second payment, the current business day ended, so any charges made after that time will apply to the next business day.
Thank you very much! I feel the same way, that’s why I’m so passionate about creating videos like this and others where I share prices and discuss how to price items because it is way too easy to sell yourself short. And thank you for sharing sharing that, I was assuming the two separate payments was some like that, so I appreciate the information :)
Great job on the whole video. ❤
Thank you so much 🥰
The shark with goggles is so cute omg
Thank you very much!!
Great vid❤
WOw your prices are great. I kind of want to buy some of your stuff.
Thank you!! As of right now I don’t sell online but if I decide to I’ll definitely share that on my Instagram :)
@@katiebeingcreative ok 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I like your videos!
I’m so glad to hear that!!
Your prices are actually quite reasonable! I
Thank you! I’m glad you think so! :)

The nausea is definitely normal! I get that when I’m feeling anxious and worked up. Markets are so nerve wracking you have no idea if you’ll suceeed. I did great at my last one but I’m still nervous for my next one.
Glad to know it isn’t just me! I think I’ll always get nervous because you just never know but they always turn out great!
Hi Macy..just wondering how you feel about markets overall? I know they can be stressful. But, are they worth it? I’m nervous to take them on 😂
All of your items are so cute! Thank you for sharing your price point. Craft fairs are such a niche market, it's hard to know what will sell. Question, have you considered selling the unsold items online? You could probably do so without changing your original pricing.
Of course and thank you very much!! I have thought about it and just haven’t done it because I’ll always have another market that I can bring unsold items to and using inventory that didn’t sell previously means I don’t have to crochet as much in preparation for the next market :)
I'm watching this now and I'm glad that you are making this video because I have no idea how much amigurumi should sell for if I was going to sell anything. I haven't made any yet because I feel intimidated. For now, I just want to make a few for my friends and family, but you never know because I'm retiring from my current career soon and not sure what I want to do next. Because I haven't made any yet, I don't even know how long it will take me to make anything. I'm still fighting with getting different stitch styles figured out, but I bought more amigurumi books than what should probably be considered healthy because the patterns are cute.
So glad you found this video helpful! And I totally understand that, so many cute amigurumi books lol!
Hey Katie I love watching your videos I need more ideas you should make a video on how to make a gingerbread
Thank you for the idea!
Your welcome I just finished making a gingerbread with your pattern thank you
You’re welcome! I hope you liked the pattern! :)
I did thank you I made one for my daughter
That’s awesome!
I’ve had the safety eyes fall out before at the worst time so I now burn the ends and tamp them down with the bottom of a pen after I attach the backing so hopefully that fixes the issue. It seems to have worked so far.
That’s a great idea, I’ve never thought of that! I’ve recently started to add E600 glue to the back of my eyes and that has also helped so far!
the prices seem perfect to me
Thank you very much! 🥰
Beautiful work 🌟❤️ Wow! I crochet, but I can't make anything like these. Please let us know if you ever decide to sell online. Excellent video. Great job at the fair 👏 Thank you for sharing 👍
You’re welcome! And thank you for the very sweet comment! 🥰❤️
Thank you for sharing. You are very talwnted
Of course! And thank you!! 🥰
Your time is very valuable and you need to be able to make a living. :)
Absolutely! :)
Very informative!
I’m so glad!
Hello! I knitting crochet and I create my own patterns aswell, take a lot of time thinking, having mistakes and sometimes you have to do it all again from the beginning, so what I mean is that I believe your prices are a bit low (some of them), especially becouse are exclusive designs and for all the time that take make an amigurumi and the materials are not cheap if you use a good quality yarn, anyway I understand is also a competitive price, is so difficult that part of choose the price becouse we want to sell our products 😅. I have never used the plush yarn, looks faboulous for big Amigurumis. I really like your creations! The best of luck 🍀
Thank you! I understand where you’re coming from but there’s a lot of other things you have to consider, such as the area you live in and how much other people make. The markets I go to are a lot of college students so they don’t have much extra money to spend. I also make money from selling the crochet patterns and these videos so I don’t feel the need to charge more even for the items that are my own designs
I absolutely love the mushrooms, what if you sold them as a trio instead of individually. They look so cute together.
Thank you! That’s a great idea I haven’t thought of that!
i love your stuff ❤️ one very important thing though, is to not use brand names for items you sell. like squishmallow, totoro etc, or you are at risk of being sued for copyright infringement
Thank you! And yes you're right, thank you for the reminder!
This may be a silly idea but um... what if you did a market where you only brought the smaller yarn based projects like mushrooms so that they don't have to compete with larger sometimes cheaper yarn projects?
That would work in theory but I actually only have like 1 or 2 items left with the smaller yarn and since making those I’ve just been making items with bigger yarn :)
Love this!!
Thank you!! 🥰
I don't sleep well before craft shows. I usually have nightmares about forgetting inventory, or getting lost on my way to the show.
Oh no that sounds terrible! Luckily I haven’t had anything like that happen yet I just get nervous the day before and day of an event
Your duckie with frog floatie is super adorable. :). She reminds me of Molly from Animal Crossing New Horizons.
Aw thank you so much!! 🥰
Thank you so much for sharing! Ive been crocheting for a year now and ive never had the guts to charge people and just have my friends and family things for free, but i wanted to start selling plushies and other things since i cant keep crochetting without yarn... and i found that your prices are great especially for the squishmallows because those take up lots of time, and stuffing too!
I did want to ask if youve ever sold mini squishmallows?
Thank you once again!
Of course, and thank you so much!! I've actually been considering making some mini squishmallow patterns since they would be faster to make and cheaper to sell but I just haven't gotten around to it yet! Hopefully I can do that soon and I'll be sure to share them in a video! :)
CUTENESS OVERLOAD!!! Haters gonna hate so ignore!!!
Thank you very much! 🥰
I love your content, and just subscribed. Your amigurumi are sooooo cute! I think that the Totoro plushie didn't sell because the proportions are not similar to the original movie character, but I hope you can sell it next time! 😘
Thank you very much!
the duck looks like its holding a peach not a pumkin haha its really cute
Lol I never thought about that! And thank you! 🥰
If the butterfly had little antennas it would be even more cute just a personal opinion no hate❤ your work is amazing ❤
Thank you! 🥰 it does have little antenna I think they’re just hard to see in the video because they’re the same color as the body
Nice
You price is perfect
Where is your matket place.. Need to know about it
It is at Kava Luv Lounge in Naples Florida for their Wellness Wednesday event. I always share the details on my Instagram for any events I’m a vendor at :)
Is there a reason you use the fluffy yarn instead of the regular yarn? I’m asking as I’m new to crochet
Personally I think because it’s softer and the items come out more bigger
Yes exactly! It’s also just personal preference :)
Your pieces are so cute! What do you use to stuff them? Specifically the large ones
Thank you very much!! Everything is stuffed with poly-fil fiber fill! Walmart is normally the best price for it but it’s sold a lot of different places :)
How long did it take you to prepare for this market just asking because I’m thinking about making a stall ?
It definitely depends on the size event you’re doing but I think I starting prepping about a month in advance for this event and I also had some of the items have didn’t sell previously. I actually have a video of prepping for this market if you’d like to see more of what preparing for an event like this looks like :)
The red mushroom with super saver I make in velvet and I can't keep them in stock
I bet those would be super cute!
Hello sorry to ask how did you end up pricing your items up for the time it took you how would you figure that out??
Hi no problem! I have a video where I talked about it which you can find here: th-cam.com/video/xyosSlbqvoI/w-d-xo.html it’s much easier to link the video then trying to explain it again here :)
Is the butterfly you made your pattern and if not where can I find it? It's so cute!
Thank you! It’s not my pattern, I found it on Instagram and it’s in the google doc that’s linked in the description of this video :)
@@katiebeingcreative thank you so much! I'm going to make it for my cousin for her birthday 😉
You’re welcome! I’m sure she’ll love it! 🥰
Can I ask. Do you find your smaller items sell faster? Sorry if you answer this, only a few minutes in.
No problem! Yes, I find that smaller items sell faster and more of them since they normally take less time to make so the price is cheaper
Where'd you get your shelf in the background lady?
They’re from Amazon, I have a video of making them and they’re linked in that video :)
hi i was just wondering what place you live in as i live in england and haven't ever heard of any kind of markets
Hi! I live in America, specifically Florida! I was just talking to a crochet friend of mine from the Netherlands and she said they don’t have any markets either! I think another good option could be trying to find local stores, maybe like coffee shops, that might let you set up a display and sell your stuff there! You’d probably have to pay a fee/ give them a percentage of your profits but I think it’d be a good idea if you don’t have events to set up at near you :)
Could you please share the clown fish pattern?? Couldn't find it anywhere
Yes, the pattern is here: instagram.com/s/aGlnaGxpZ2h0OjE4MTIyNTcyMTc0MjAwMjYw?story_media_id=2557094361881283581&igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= if the link doesn’t work search hanner_gurumi on Instagram and it’s in her story highlight called clownfish :)

Do you use a circular knitting machine? If so can you show how no make one of your items 🤗
I do not, everything I make is crocheted by hand! I’ve thought about getting one but haven’t invested in it yet :)
@@katiebeingcreative i got the sentro 48 needles and the 22 needles i crochet and knitting everything by hand too, but i have to get my yarn down to a manageable size. I have to stop buying yarn by impulse. I’m verybad
@@marciasilviajohnson6461 I think the knitting machine should definitely help with that!
Not trying to be rude just curious does anyone ever say they could do that for so much cheaper beacuse I feel like people do that with alot of hand crafted things
I’ve been pretty lucky and everyone has been nice to me and never said anything like that! Sometimes I do get questions on why am item is a certain price and once I explain how long it took to make people have always said the price makes sense
I was wondering what you charge for your time
I use an app to track it! I have a full video explaining it which you can watch here: th-cam.com/video/Gx0fVtr1mHc/w-d-xo.html
16:03 OMG OMG I WANT IT IT'S SO CUTE AND FAT

Aw thank you!
For the prices are ridiculous and they're not even that good
Thanks for sharing your very rude opinion that I specifically said I did not want to hear. All your comment does is help out my video, even if it is rude. Also I suggest fixing your grammar before you decide to leave rude comments, especially under a small business owner’s video where all I’m trying to do is help others be successful in their businesses. Not everyone is going to understand my prices but I have to price the way I do because of the amount of time and materials it takes for my items. If you don’t like a price at a store you simply decide not to purchase the item and walk away, right? It’s even easier to just click off my video if you don’t like the prices or think my items aren’t “even that good.” But on the internet you can hide without even having a profile picture and leave rude comments to people that are way more successful than you’ve probably ever thought about being. Again thank you for the comment, all it does is help me, and I truly hope you have a wonderful day even though my prices are ridiculous and they’re not even that good :)
You price is perfect
Thank you!
