I’m just now commenting because I watched your latest video, could not figure out why you weren’t already on my FT list, and promptly went back and binge watched all your previous episodes. Your stitching is amazing and even though I stitch more eclectic things than you do, I also love samplers and many of the things you’ve shown are, at the least, patterns I own. Especially true with the dreaming big charts!! I have been mooning over Inspiration forever, also that Three Things chart, both of which I own. Anyway, love your work and also I love your videos! You are very pleasant to listen to, but you have a self-deprecating sense of humor that just pops up now and then and cracks me up! Keep up the great work, you’ve already reached my absolute favorite Flosstubers list.

Re: Inspiration - I know right?! It doesn't photograph nearly as well as it looks stitched, as it is with most things - and I think there's a silk conversion that's very tempting!

That floss conversion is beautiful and so bright, I think va light blue will really highlight them well like you think.
I’m really impressed with your work and progress on those big samplers. I have trouble staying focused and motivated when they are so large but they look amazing when done
I completely agree - which is why it has taken me 2+ years to get Consider the Lilies this close to a finish!! But I can't help but be drawn toward other big ones

You have inspired me to do Consider the Lilies! As soon as I saw your project I fell in love with it. It will be my largest project to date. It's so beautiful and I can't wait to start.
It is time-consuming but so worth it! The closer I get to the end the more excited I am to be able to get it on my wall soon :)

Thank you for your video. Your progress on Consider the Lilies was alot! You really don't have a ton left, and then you can start another one of your wish list biggies. I am also trying to stitch from stash. Not hard because I have tons of things. I an doing StitchMaynia, and plan to work 3 days each on 8 WIPS and 2 new starts. Your cowl is stunning!!! I love slip stitches. All those big stitch plans/wishes - love!!! I will have to check out that august summer Sal - I love the beach so might have to get the chart and join in. I’ve read via audio the first 4 outlander books - that narrator is excellent!!! Safe travels.
The narrator is so good! I am not always a fan of audiobooks because they are so dependent on narrator but she does a great job.
I keep telling myself…I can’t buy anymore! But then I watch you! You are my newest enabler! There are so many of your projects I either have or want! Our tastes are very similar…I even have yarn I just bought for the pressed flower pullover! Your cross stitch projects are so beautiful. I think I’m going to get the VC silks and the Birds of a Feather pattern. Oh and I want the Summer Quaker pattern🤦🏻♀️ Anyway…love your videos!

Hi Lauren love your flosstube! Your progress on Consider The Lilies is outstanding. You inspire me to keep going on mine. Whenever you start Moira Blackburn Three Things Sampler or Elizabeth Weston I’ll SAL with you they’re all ready to stitch. I have or I am stitching 7 of the charts you showed for future starts. Mary Ann Copp with Vicky Clayton silks is beautiful it is in my lineup for fall.
A SAL may be coming in the not so distant future! I'll talk more about it at the end of the month :)

Your Spring Saltbox is so cute! i love the idea of them all together on one piece of fabric. My Home in the Garden is looking so pretty! I am collecting the Gloriana silks for it and want to start it this summer. After seeing yours and others’ i had to kit it up. I have been regularly checking the Evertote site for the promised Garden Sampler Roxy flossco conversion. Then there it was on your video 😂 They still havent listed it so i guess i need to email them. Have a great vacation this month! and thanks for sharing xx

It is actually a barn! My neighbor has lived on this property for 50+ years and has a lot of beautiful traditional outbuildings :)

Loved your video, Lauren. I am also stitching the Plum Street Saltbox houses. I'm hoping to finish the first one today and i plan to stitch mine all on one piece of fabric. We are kindred spirits in that we are drawn to the large pieces. I too own many large charts that I hope someday to do...many the same as yours. However, you do have an advantage as you are several (okay let's be truthful) many years younger than I am. Thank you for taking the time to make the video and share your beautiful work. You have such a calming voice.

@@newhampshirestitcher I have two HAEDS, Santa of the Forest and Song of Christmas by Lavendar and Lace, Noel Sampler by Brenda Gervais, A Tisket and a Tasket by Rosewood Manor and Let Love Reign by Teresa Kogut. Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I hope to live until 103. Lol

Well, you just blow my mind with all your beautiful stitching. Would you mind sending some of that coastal NH air you are breathing to central NH Lake’s Region? Maybe it will make me stitch faster! 🤣 Love your Shift Cowl. It came out great. I have had the yarn for that for too long. Really need to get it on the needles. Can’t wait to see your beautiful shawl started. I love my Chiao goo interchangeable needles! Don’t bring metal needles on the plane! They will be likely to take them away. I thought about going to the stitch weekend you mentioned but, being further north, it seemed like a bit of a ride. I need to look into Stitching at the Farm which is somewhere in NH. For all I know, it could be filled but I need to check into it. Have a great May!
You absolutely should start the Shift Cowl, it was truly so fun to work on! I have heard Stitching at the Farm is really fun! I'd love to go to that one year - I believe I heard that it's sold out but I imagine there is a wait list!
For not stitching as much these days, you are making some great progress. I bought the Garden Sampler last year too, and just started it this week! The Roxy Floss Co. conversion looks really good. I’m stitching it on 36ct Wheat by Fiber on a Whim. I think you’ve convinced me to start the Hello from Liz Matthews pattern at some point. And I just received my Summer Quaker pattern. I need to decide on a fabric. Enjoy your May!

Love watching you! Your cowl, and all your stitching is beautiful! I am also stitching Carriage House's Garden Sampler. I am loving it! I am stitching it on cauldron spill by Laura's Fabric. Its a greenish, mottled linen. I also love the Blue Flower Gentle Rain pattern, but I haven started it yet.
I just looked up that fabric - how pretty!! What corner did you start on? I think I will do alphabetical but try to tackle the big section of ground early on!

I, too, am interested in those patterns. I know I looked up the Loose Feathers patterns a few months ago, had a hard time finding two of them at that point. I could not afford to buy the remaining seven because of cost. If I could just buy one or two at a time, that is probably what I need to do.

My vote is fox Insiration. It isn’t a often seen pattern and when I saw it I think my heart stopped for a moment. I would also slowly collect the Blackbird patterns

Great video. You do beautiful stitching and have great ideas. Liking the vegetable stitching from Carriage House.I’ve been wanting to get some of the Canadian company’s flosses. Can’t think of name-Roxy part of it. I enjoy the flosstube she and Carolyn of Evertotes do. Are the threads expensive? I’m collecting patterns, hoping to get back to stitching. I stitched many years ago. Some health issues and where to stitch issues are slowing the process. I enjoy flosstubes, and I started watching during Covid. It eased stress! 🌺🌺🌺

I think you’re getting a lot done considering your new job, etc. Once a month is just fine - life is busy for you right now! Love your projects and your plans. Right now, I am stitching Summer at Hollyberry Farm. I’ve always been a monogamous stitcher but… I’m stepping out!! Been buying project bags and of course I had plenty of stash to kit up! May be starting a few more projects - I’ll actually have wips! Also you had your Vicky Clayton silks on floss cards. I ordered her silks for Teresa Kogut’s Halloween sampler - they are on bobbins. Did yours come differently? Or, did you unravel to put on the floss cards? Happy Stitching - Kristy
The Hollyberry farm series is beautiful! I've been watching Olivia at Pumpkin Hollow Quilts work on Halloween and it's gorgeous. For the Vicki Clayton silks - mine also came on bobbins, but I don't like cutting thread of the bobbins to use each time, so I tranferred them to floss cards. I think some people would say this is a big no for silks but I protect them with the felt thread keeper and it's working well :)

You will love them! I use silks just the same as overdyed - with shorter lengths and I personally put mine on floss cards. I know some people would never do this but I figure my silk, my decision! You may find the silks are a little more slippery to deal with, but since they are not variegated, you don't need to worry about stitching one X at a time, you can just zip back and forth in the rows!

Hi Christy, I'm sorry I missed this - I was out of town and haven't been checking TH-cam! In case you have not yet arrived, the only needlework shops in MA are Stitch New England in North Attleboro (south of Boston) and World In Stitches in Littleton (north west of Boston). Unfortunately there are no shops in southern Maine that I know of!
Hello! Do you have a magnifier or a light when stitching on 40 count?! I'm intrigued but recently bought a piece of 36 count and MAN it is small!
Hi Holly! Yes I do - I use an OttLite when I stitch, even if it's daytime. It helps a lot!

I want to stitch the 4 seasons of saltboxes together like yours. What count and how much fabric should I get?
Hi Krista! I personally stitch on 40 count, and if you do that, you should be able to do all 8 houses on a fat quarter, with the fabric held vertically. That is what I am doing :)
