Have you heard of The Yarn Harlot? (If not, she's a Canadian knit blogger, back when blogging was new) I definitely recommend reading any of her books. I watched all your Flosstubes this weekend. Thank you for sharing 1 strand a day. I am a seasonal stitcher but have a few WIPS that are for other seasons just sitting there but don't want to get too far behind on them. So I added a strand in each one yesterday and It felt good. I might not make it everyday but if I at least get a strand a week in I'll feel satisfied.

I just ordered up supplies for the Seasonal Saltbox SAL. I love Plum Street Samplers designs so was easy to jump on board this train! I ordered a Fat Quarter of Oaken thinking I will stitch the way you described with 2 x 4.
Also I love the fabric you used on back of Fall into Autumn. Great colors.

May join in on your SAL! I have had all 4 of those charts for forever! Will have to figure out fabric count and size as I would also love to do the 2 x 4 placement most likely on 36 count! What a lovely surprise when you showed Pink Sparrow! I have had it ready to go except Grape Arbor and Pumpkin Patch as they have been unavailable for months! Any suggestions you have on substitutions are welcome! Thanks for a great video!
Such lovely finishes! Look up blind/ladder stitch for a slightly more difficult but much more invisible way to handstitch pillow openings. I use whipstitch when I know I am going to put on trim but I kinda like the magic of blind stitching. I’ll be following your March Madness 🍀🍀🍀🍀 Maybe I will join in next year. I’m still quite overwhelmed with the 10 plus years of neglected WIPs, though getting less so every month, so I am not participating this year. Love watching your FlossTube and adore hearing about your reading.
Thank you for the tips! I have actually tried ladder stitch but to be honest I am not very good at hand sewing and I get frustrated with it quickly, thus the whip stitch! Maybe I need to dedicate a little more time to learning some new techniques so I don't have to add trim to everything. 😊

Thank you Carol! Usually I listen to podcasts while I walk my dog, so multi-tasking! I also work from home and don't have any kids yet, so my mornings before work I usually get at least a couple hours of stitching in, and I read before bed ☺

Hi! I just found your videos and have been enjoying them! I'm impressed by the samplers you are stitching for someone who has only been stitching a few years! I have been stitching for many years and have not attempted anything on 32 or higher count! I also live in New England, so I was happy to find a flosstube done by a neighbor. 😊
My preference for 40 ct. is very strategic - it means I can use less thread and less fabric per project, which means I can purchase more projects 😂

Love your finish of Pink Sparrow Sampler and I can't wait to see it framed. It's going to be my April start for sure. And congrats on the new job! I started a new job in November so I know how hectic it can be to try to wrap things up before moving on to better things.
It will be a perfect start for spring! And yes - it's been a little stressful getting everything wrapped up but I know it's all for the best so I can move on to my next role with a clean slate!

Hi Lauren- lovely projects as always! I was able to get Sally Spencer from 1884 Stitchery so I’m going to start that as soon as I get it kitted up. Will take a look at the Saltbox set as well - I don’t think I’ve seen those before but I love Plum Street! Happy stitching!
I don't see the Saltboxes much on Flosstube but I think they were popular a few years ago before I started really stitching. But I love stitching houses so I'm excited!

Very nice video, Lauren! I like that you included some knitting at the end. You’ll love the SHIFT cowl. It will be so beautiful. I’ve made one with worsted wool. Would like to make another with a lighter weight wool. 😊
I really love it so far! I don't knit nearly enough, I think I need to make a point of just doing a couple of rows a day before I start stitching so I can get a little more progress.

Yesss Lessons In Chemistry is so good. Are you liking Priory? It’s def taking me a bit to get through but I like the idea of the entire story being wrapped up in one book. Also reading it doubles as an arm workout 😂

Trying to get through the initial world building is taking a lot of mental effort, but I think it’ll be good once I’m not having to stop and think about who everyone is every 2 sentences!

😅 Too funny. Not enough upper body strength to hold consider the Lilies. Tickled my funny bone. I am sooo glad that you ordered the Advent kit. I did also because I had a blast last year. It's really really fun because not only do you get a gift every day til Christmas but you also get something right away to work on. I think you're going to love it. Could you tell me how many skeins of Conch you used for the house on Winter Rose Manor?
I can’t wait to do the Holiday Countdown, I just love their floss and will be happy to add all those skeins to my collection! For Winter Rose Manor, I only ended up using 1 skein of Conch for 40 ct. 1 over 2. I do use every bit of each thread so others may want an extra skein!

Hi Chrissie! I’m in the Colour & Cotton fabric club so a lot of it comes from there, but I also love Seraphim which has their own site and Hollis Hands Create on Etsy has a great selection 😊

I wish I did know but the room was this color when we moved in! It’s funny you say that because I kind of want to paint it, the previous owners painted every single room blue and I am over it 😂
