The cicada's are awesome! I remember finding the shells on the tree trunks as a kid. Picture my neighbor's rather large cat walking down the driveway with a live cicada in his mouth trying not to touch the buzzing creature with his lips! Have to say how refreshing it is to see how kind you are to vendors. We should all take a page from your book about that.
You should put the box of "trash" sunglasses in your booth (or in an attractive basket) and price them at 50¢ or $1. I think a good bit of them will sell as an impulse buy by people walking thru.
Josh, the cicadas are louder than usual this year because the number of the them is higher. This is due to two separate species emerge this year at the same time. Kinda of uncommon event to happen. Good luck ! How is Mos handling the evasion. Take care! ❤ for you guys & Mos.
The Cicadas only come with this many in their brood every 13 years…it’s kind of amazing how alien sounding they are. Loved that vintage plinko machine🥰
We do have cicadas here in western Canada 🇨🇦 just a few and in few areas. But the eastern provinces have a lot of them. We went on a trip to Niagara Falls and were surprised by how loud they were. Must be the 17 year turnover in your area! lol Love the stuff you and Hayley picked on this video. Good luck on your sales! ❤
Hey I wanted to give ya'll a heads up. In smaller towns, they are putting in skateboard parks and I see kids all the time there with their boards or skooters.
I'm up in Charlotte, and I love the sound of cicadas. I could sleep in a hammock if the humidity wasn't bad lol. Also, you definitely knew that wasn't a charmander 😂😂😂.
I mentioned the cicadas i only remember them when i was elementary school age and they were bad. In NC we were supposed to get them like that here too but luckily not 😁
We don't have Secada here in NW Oregon so I've been wondering how it has been going. I had heard about something happening with them that only occurs like every 200 years .
Cicadas are the only insects to have developed such an effective and specialized means of producing sound. Some large species such as the Greengrocer/Yellow Monday and the Double Drummer produce a noise intensity in excess of 120 dB at close range (this is approaching the pain threshold of the human ear). In contrast, some small species have songs so high in pitch that the noise is beyond the range of our hearing. 100 - 120 decibels: For example, a bulldozer, impact wrench, or motorcycle.
Oh my gosh you haven’t heard the Coquies from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 they are so loud that when my family called me from the states they can hear them. They could be very annoying
@@vigerminaberrios4116 I come from Florida but I have never heard Coquies I will look them up. They sound cute. But as a group I am sure they are overwhelming. We have frogs at night that make noises in Florida th-cam.com/video/upcu7SKNGV4/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=RumbleViral

This was a great video!! The two flea market trips were awesome and the Harry's commercial was icing on the cake!! The bouncing ball was over the top FUNNY!!!!! WELL DONE!!
Each male cicada has a pair of these circular ridged membranes on the back and side surface of the first abdominal segment. Contraction of a tymbal muscle attached to the membrane causes it to bend, producing a clicking sound.
Hi J&H! With the not so choice sunglasses, consider bundling a few for children to “play dress up”. My granddaughters would love a bag of sunglasses for fun. Love all your videos. 🌞Susie
That blue Pokemon that you found is named Wobuffet, the patient Pokemon. I don't have that one in my Pokemon collection in plush form. Sabrina Griffin. ❤
I'm guessing you weren't in such a wooded area when the cicada swarms last emerged? You're now right in their home so it's gonna be loud. lol I just looked up cicadas in South Carolina. It seems that they are creating quite a stir. People have been calling the police because they are so loud and they don't know what it is. lol I think I'm gonna miss this periodic emergence of the little guys. I'm in Central Ky and I think I read that only Western Ky will be blessed with their presence. Hey, the way those sunglasses were stored in that huge pile, I'm surprised that they're not all scratched. Glad you can salvage some and hopefully many more in there. You could always throw some of those in the booth. They would be a good seller as people are always losing, breaking sunglasses. You could make an inexpensive DIY rack to hook them on. And I'd definitely put things like that skateboard in the booth. BTW, I think it's time for a Mose fix. Please have him make an appearance please. :)
I just sold 3 pairs of sunglasses over the weekend! I used to work at Sunglass Hut a long time ago so if you need some guidance on sunglasses, you know who to call! Lol. The only thing missing in the video was Mose.
I just can't imagine all the people who buy plush. I can understand buying to resell, but what do people do with them and store them if they 😂buy lots of them

That machine in the beginning it a pachinco machine, very popular in japan and Philippines, the old ones are very rare, my dad has 2 and I had to send him balls when I was in japan, it's there version of slot machines 🎉
