3:18 I get that the sellers should have changed but it's also the responsibility of the buyer to be considerate an example is that a buyer buys something of $2 and wants to pay with a $100 like common 😮💨😤
It is 100% the seller's responsibility to have some amount of change at the flea market. You're the vendor. And I say this as someone who has been buying and selling at flea markets for more than half my life.
I’ve missed a $1 to-84 plus bc the seller didn’t have change. Lesson learned I go to the bank and get 1, 5 & 10 every Friday before yard sale/flea market. Get change!
I’ve done good with Sealed models! Last one I bought was at a thrift store for less then 10.00 and sold it around 100.00! I think it was a Boat Model. Some car ones do well too! Great buy , easy listings and easy shipping! Gotta love it!
When I have a yard sale, I always have lots of change because buyers don’t always come prepared. When I am a shopper I always bring lots of change so I can make deals quickly and efficiently
That and it is very awkward when someone is selling an item for 10$ and you talk them down a few bucks.....look them in the eye and hand them a $10 and ask for change 😂
For small but niche collections like that I always straight up ask the seller to point out the highest value item and then I’ll pick a second one using my limited knowledge and see what they amount to. That’s what helps me notch>aim>release my funds without too much consternation or fear.
I've gone to the flea market with only enough money to set up, hoping to make money for bills. I never had change. I don't remember missing any sales in the morning and soon enough I had change 😅😅😅
We just got a box full of antique dolls for $100. We just looked up a few dolls on top to make a decision and figured one could pay for the box. When we got home and looked at all the dolls individually, only one is worth $1000 or more so far. I agree on the take a chance sometimes when people are looking over your shoulder situations.
I bought a few sealed models at a yard sale for $5 each. Most only sold for $12-15. Hopefully you got some that will be higher in value. My best "risk" was when I first started sourcing as a reseller. I came across a lady at a yard sale with a large bin of Hallmark Ornaments. All from some family member and almost all stored in the original box. I paid $50 not knowing hardly anything about them. And that was a lot of money for me as a newbie!! Ended up that there were SO many ornaments in there, that each ornament came out to costing only thirty cents a piece! One of them I listed right before Christmas and sold almost instantly for $80. Not bad for someone who's still learning the game! :)
When I have a yard sale, I make sure to have $100 in 😅$1 bills and $20 in coins, plus several fives and tens for change. When I am going to garage sales or flea markets, I bring lots of small bills and a few tens and twenties in case I make a bigger purchase. I think having change is the responsibility of both buyer and seller.
As a seller I usually carry 300 in change to a show. I appreciate people that are thoughtful enough to bring small bills.Early in the day I refuse 100 bills for 5~10 dollar items. Some sellers come into a show dead broke with no change and barely enough money to get there.
I’m jealous about your 60° weather. It snowed last night and it’s already melted this afternoon but it’s not warm by any means. Every day is going to get warmer. I cannot wait to feel the warmth I am so over winter.
About three years ago, when I started reselling, my first big purchase was for model cars. He had a ton and it was soooo out of my comfort zone. He told me some guy was supposed to come a couple hours ago to buy them all so I offered $400 for everything and it took some time but he accepted. All I could think was “man did I just make a mistake” but after all was said and done, I made over $1000 net profit in a couple months.
Always love the channel and was big supporter when the Mrs gained her wings and blossomed. Another awesome channel is One foot flipper he does have only 1 foot but has a wealth of knowledge a Ton of humor and always a pleasure when he posts he tells you like it is and guarantee you will laugh and learn!!! Love u2 keep up the awesome Work!!!
70 year old Granny picker here. I always have exact change because it makes the transaction go faster and I can move on to the next deal, especially at garage sales and flea markets the competition has gotten a lot worse here in California.
Shout from Australia. At 1.36 on the vid there was a Premiership (that’s what we call champions) Australian Football League Adelaide Crows cap. That is vintage as they only won it in ‘97 and ’98. That would go big in Australia. Shout out to @2aussiethrifters.
If buyers keep buying with large bills... sellers might be running out of change faster. I think it's the responsibility of the sellers to try to keep sufficient change.
Sellers always should have change. Imagine going to a business and trying to pay and they say…’sorry, can’t sell you that because I don’t have change.’ It’s their loss.
I agree, I think the change or smaller bills is the responsibility of the seller. I also think it’s important to carry bills of all sizes. You never know what you will buy and how much a bundle of items can cost. Thank you for another great video you two! Sending you both many blessings and ❤from 🇨🇦
Just bought a bunch of models, I paid $8 to $10 each and they went for $20 to $30 + ship but the key was some buyers bought multiples, and I send some shipping back, but multiple saved time and made more money for me so so far I like the model market, especially given they are around 20 years or more older, I stay away from recent one people bought at Ollies :)
That’s the beauty of bulk buying sometimes it throws up a surprise and you can always just get money back to get out of it there’s an old saying if yo get desperate your first loss is your best loss.when it’s just not working clear the decks and move on to something that will bring you a profit
As the saying goes " find a penny pick it up & it will bring you luck " I live in England and i found a £5.00 on the ground, lots of people must of walked past it. My late father used to say to us x5 sisters and brother " when in town keep your window down, meaning to look around all the time as you don't know what is under your feet "
I've never sold at a flea market, but I plan to this summer. I figured the best thing would be to stop at a bank and get $100 in ones and fives, and a few rolls of quarters.
I dont see any comments on maybe its the responsibility of both parties to have change. Ive been buying and selling for over 30 years and its amazing how many small sales of 2 and 3 dollars and everyone is paying with a 20 dollar bill. As a buyer I want to hand the person 2 dollars and go to the next sale. Once it was 2 dollars and I handed her a 5 dollar bill and she said she had to go inside and get the change. It took her nearly 10 minutes. SO it just helps if everyone could be prepared to help themselves and each other.
It's totally the sellers responsibility to have change. I been selling st flea markets for years so i always try to make sure I have change, but many times someone will come along at start of sale and pay with a $100 bill which sucks.but if I'm low on ones or whatever I just exchange with another vendor.
I believe for small purchases, relying on change falls on the buyer. If there is a large exchange, it falls on the seller to have sufficient change. Either way it needs to be neutral.
I think you are managing your risk well, by buying a bulk lot, but not over-spending on the size of lot. A big difference with the disney truck-load that you bought. There everything was a brand name and the spend-per-item was quite low (and hence your risk was low too).
Just depends on how approach bundle type negotiations. Some people are cut throat low ballers or respectfully "what's your lowest you'll take?" Get these off your hands. If your confident in the original deal just take time to assess what your getting into. Look up comps in front could be frowned on but you taking a risk. But you seem like it hopefully pan out for you.
Impressed that the first stop had an Adelaide Crows Aussie Rules cap (1m37s) for sale. The Crows won back to back titles in 97 & 98, so it looked in good shape for that vintage.
You there are lucky to have swap meets. Here in S CA had the few swap meets all shut down during COVID Times of Madness and a lot of them (the best) never reopened.
When you say at the end of this video on taking a risk I watch you guys all the time that's how I learn the business so I'm going to say if you're going to take the risk then I'm learning to take risk
Beatrice potter books, check that you have all the collection. Often they come in a box, Beatrice potter lived in the lake district Cumbria England, a beautiful place. The new Tom cruise new film was filmed in the lake district Cumbria England last year for 5 months
Models cost about $25+ new now days. Some of those look like remakes of older model kits. If they were original older ones you wouldn’t have gotten them for that price. Some are crazy high. But a good buy I think over all.
I believe both should have change/small bills. The seller will probably need more because they will most likely be there longer and deal with more people.
Go to bank and get 100 singles Keep a stack at home... Problem solved plus its easier to negotiate it buyer has singles. If yiu have twenties its harder to negotiate

He was talking about South Carolina basketball. The men beat us (Kentucky) like he said and I will very impressed with them. They have actually beat us 2 years in a row. That new coach they have is a good one! SC was picked to finish last in the SEC so they have really done well. That being said that got beat bad last night vs Auburn. Also, the women's team is the only D1 school that hasn't lost a game! Anyways, Go CATS!
Hayley seemed surprised with your knowledge on the Masters Hat😳 Yup shoe category is getting very tight in the profit area flea markets prices have definitely increased more of a EBay item which is a platform most are leaving. Great pickup on the golf net twice the practice half the walking! All The Best! Be Well Be Safe & Stay Blessed. Over Due For A Gum Ball Update😂
Model cars normally run you $30 to 40 apiece in a store and you got some of the older ones so don’t let them scam you because my husband model cars but he passed away
Score on those models those are super cool I remember when I was younger that was my thing, I would get one model a month, and trick em all out put hydrolics on them all kinds of stuff you should get good money out them,

I’ve missed a $1 to-84 plus bc the seller didn’t have change. Lesson learned I go to the bank and get 1, 5 & 10 every Friday before yard sale/flea market. Get change!
EXACTLY!
you dont go the shop and expect them not to have change so i dont see the diffrence here
5/10/20 or 50 would still have made u profit?
I’ve done good with Sealed models! Last one I bought was at a thrift store for less then 10.00 and sold it around 100.00! I think it was a Boat Model. Some car ones do well too! Great buy , easy listings and easy shipping! Gotta love it!

I believe you and Haley have good gut instincts. 😊 Trust your gut
For small but niche collections like that I always straight up ask the seller to point out the highest value item and then I’ll pick a second one using my limited knowledge and see what they amount to.
That’s what helps me notch>aim>release my funds without too much consternation or fear.
Change is a shared responsibility, but at 7am... it's definitely on the seller.
I've gone to the flea market with only enough money to set up, hoping to make money for bills. I never had change. I don't remember missing any sales in the morning and soon enough I had change 😅😅😅
Hayley and Josh!!! Thanks for taking us along!!! I appreciate you both so much!!! Stay safe stay great and keep up the good work!!!

That's actually the best way to learn what sells. Now you have a good idea of what Hallmark ornaments are worth picking up. Good lessons ❤

Thank you for trying to buy something from every seller. That is very nice.

Definitely on the seller to have change! and be prepared for 100s. Even though it is irritating as a seller to get them, be ready!
Knew it was going to be a good video, Haley finding $5. God bless stay safe until the next video 💓 😍

The copper disk "lamp" is a heater, There was a screw in heating element and a wire basket guard over the face.
If buyers keep buying with large bills... sellers might be running out of change faster. I think it's the responsibility of the sellers to try to keep sufficient change.
I always take a huge float with me when I sell.
I would say both
It’s always good to keep $150-200 in change as a seller but it’s still risky to go to a market with a big purse already.
I say it is both. I have seen buyers going through and buying $1-$5 items and giving each vendor a $20 saying thats all they have. So both.
Sellers always should have change. Imagine going to a business and trying to pay and they say…’sorry, can’t sell you that because I don’t have change.’ It’s their loss.

21 degrees this morning here! flea market season starts in April. Can't wait!!
I've never sold at a flea market, but I plan to this summer. I figured the best thing would be to stop at a bank and get $100 in ones and fives, and a few rolls of quarters.
Yep!
Quarters?😳
If 5 people buy a $1 item and each one pays you with a $20, you'll burn through that $100 in ones very fast.
I enjoy your videos so much. Thank you
Great flea market video you guys are the models made by Revell this is a good brand to look out for specially the vintage ones
Thank for the update on the those sealed cards lol I always wondered if they sold or not.
Great haul today guys ,well done 😊😊xx❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🙏🙏🌺🌺
Thanks for your time and video !!😊

I would look up the comps on the model s because they go by the year
Omg core memory activated with body fantasies body spray and lotion!! 💞 (Minute 9:57) Please go back and buy for resale 😄
It's totally the sellers responsibility to have change. I think you made a good deal on the models. Hope you score big.
I believe for small purchases, relying on change falls on the buyer. If there is a large exchange, it falls on the seller to have sufficient change. Either way it needs to be neutral.
Trust your gut! Those are often the best adventures!!
I think you are managing your risk well, by buying a bulk lot, but not over-spending on the size of lot. A big difference with the disney truck-load that you bought. There everything was a brand name and the spend-per-item was quite low (and hence your risk was low too).
We do great with model cars. I've sold vintage models assembled with the box, open box complete and even empty boxes for great money.
It's seller's responsibility to have change. Just like a yard sale. Seller should have it!
Sometimes it's worth it to buy something just to learn if it's good to sell, if you like selling it and shipping, etc. Growth comes from taking risks!
Exactly 🎉
Mose for president!!! I think the change issue falls on both parties
Impressed that the first stop had an Adelaide Crows Aussie Rules cap (1m37s) for sale. The Crows won back to back titles in 97 & 98, so it looked in good shape for that vintage.
Not vintage it’s repro, I have the same cap and it has different writing to the vintage one on it definitely repop
Like I keep saying - you guys always have a good time. Like you content. Stay safe.
As a courtesy, at a smaller store, I always pay for small purchases will small bills.
OMG you left the sadness plush from inside out on Miss Jackies table 😭😭
The hat stand you passed would be great for your booth for all the hats you have
Thats a ton of klein screwdrivers at 12:51. I wonder what the price was on those. They make some of my favorite screwdrivers.
Shoutout to Zoe and Miss Jackie! Love to Mose!!
I would be scanning the barcodes on the models to see the margins. I like to take my time on stuff like that
Great video guys. Just by what I saw on the models you should more than double your money plus
You there are lucky to have swap meets. Here in S CA had the few swap meets all shut down during COVID Times of Madness and a lot of them (the best) never reopened.
I've done well with opened models, so sealed should do even better.
Sellers should always be prepared and have change!
I think the models purchase was good. You can sit on them and let them sell over time.
When you say at the end of this video on taking a risk I watch you guys all the time that's how I learn the business so I'm going to say if you're going to take the risk then I'm learning to take risk
Great findings 👍
It's the seller responsible. It's just like when you go to the store, gas station, or a restaurant. They always has change
We are headed to the Webster Flea Market on Monday, its supposed to be the best sale of the year, hope to run into you guys there !
What tires did you get on the 4runner? Looks sweet
I don’t remember what they were called but we made a video where we thrifted money to pay for them lol
As a buyer, If you want to pick up good cheap stuff, bring the ones.
at 1:37 there was an Adelaide crows premier cap! they are the Aussie rules team from where I grew up. it's a long way from home.
Not vintage it’s repro, I have the same cap and it has different writing to the vintage one on it definitely repop
@@GetDat1 very interesting. I'm not a football fan, but still remember (despite being a kid) how excited everyone was.
I would comp a few to make sure I could at least break even easily then risk it from there!
I think you took a very smart and very good risk On the models I would take so many and put them online and the rest
Upload day is my favorite day!
Beatrice potter books, check that you have all the collection. Often they come in a box,
Beatrice potter lived in the lake district Cumbria England, a beautiful place.
The new Tom cruise new film was filmed in the lake district Cumbria England last year for 5 months
I love how that lady had all her toys with batteries in them
I’ve really been into the vintage jackets and starter jackets recently. That 80s jacket was very cool.
I was at a gaming store recently with my husband and we were looking at the models. Most were $40+. I think you did well with them.
i didn't realize that the shoe prices went up so much?! that sucks for you guys! GOD bless you Josh and Haley!
Models cost about $25+ new now days. Some of those look like remakes of older model kits. If they were original older ones you wouldn’t have gotten them for that price. Some are crazy high. But a good buy I think over all.
I'm a big fan from New Zealand you're videos are entertaining
I believe both should have change/small bills. The seller will probably need more because they will most likely be there longer and deal with more people.
Go to bank and get 100 singles
Keep a stack at home... Problem solved plus its easier to negotiate it buyer has singles. If yiu have twenties its harder to negotiate

At this point I knew for sure, you were in some kind of mood.
Sellers and buyers having change
And then you aren't a true Nascar fan if....
Earnhardt cheated by crashing into people...if that's what you were getting at.
You can find games, controllers at yard sales.
@ 4:00 thats how Flea sellers should price... not looking up Ebay prices
I like the plush and bag content 😂 but my favorite content is still the local goodwills. Also the vendors should have change but as a local and regular buyer I think its good practice to carry smaller notes that will help you get even better deals. Nothing more annoying when a buyer rocks up with a big note and clears out your smaller notes. Its a 50/50 hand in hand situation I feel. But always love the content 🤌
He was talking about South Carolina basketball. The men beat us (Kentucky) like he said and I will very impressed with them. They have actually beat us 2 years in a row. Enjoyed ❤
Aaaggghhh. Great purchase, but in today's market I would struggle without seeing comps on the models. You, however, will do fine.
Score on those models those are super cool I remember when I was younger that was my thing, I would get one model a month, and trick em all out put hydrolics on them all kinds of stuff you should get good money out them,
Love Kenny Chesney. And I agree, seller should have the change.
I am cautious about picking stuff up. it could have fentanyl powder on it. That is what I was told from someone.
I really don’t think that’s an issue that should concern anyone. Unless you’re a police officer patting down a suspect.
🤣🤣
Zo is wearing a Chef vest so of course he wanted the Chefs to win.
Mabuhay 🤗
Scooby doo plush always sell great for me locally. Not sure on ebay or whatnot
Buying collections is good provided they are not too large or too expensive. It's better when it is an adult child downsizing in a hurry. I know you realize not everyone has the platform you have- and I know you are grateful for it- but the rest of us need to buyer lower than you can
;D
You guy's awesome as usual
