    Great job! Hadn't seen the hangers for corn/whatever from PBC. My experience of doing corn is do it naked and let the smoke permeate every square inch. 20+ years now, and friends ask when I'm the cook if I'm doing corn. So easy when done, slice it off the cobb + butter + salt + pepper. Some don't even remember the meat I served, they just rave about corn - go figure! But potatoes and onions smoked like that, damn! Thanks!

    • @DskiGrillz
      @DskiGrillz  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      rgaj1 Thanks for checking out the video! Smokey Denmark’s are mainly found in packing houses but I found these at a local market called Winco. As for the seasonings I buy them directly from Amazon.

    What temp was your smoker at?
    How long did the corn take?
    How long did the potatoes take.
    I just received my Gateway today, seasoned and ready to cook. I am hanging a full chicken, potatoes/onions, and corn tomorrow. Please advise on temp and cooking times. Thanks.

      Mike Meyers High Mike, congrats on your new Gateway drum. I would shoot for 275 for all items you re cooking. The corn will finish 1st, followed by the chicken, then the potatoes. All will be turn out great. Please let me know how the cook turns out! Thanks

    • @DskiGrillz
      @DskiGrillz  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Larry, I put them in the oven on warm. I wrapped the corn in foil to ensure no moisture was loss. Have a great weekend.

    Do you have issues with your meat getting to dark of color? I might be adding to many wood chunks

    • @DskiGrillz
      @DskiGrillz  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I rarely have this issue Terry. You may be smoking your meats too long. After two or three hours of straight smoke, its good to wrap so you can protect the color. The meat would have already taken in enough smoke flavor. Try it and see if this fixes the dark color. Have a good week!
