Quick question - You said you should add a link 5:50 - at If i add a link to the post, doesnt that make facebook go "Ohh, they want people to click off Facebook, so we will show this to less people" or am i wrong here?
I have a follow up question. I own a self storage business. So I’m not selling a product but rather providing a service to which not a wide audience of people may apply or be interested. Additionally, the timing may or may not fit their need. I’d love a video on how service based business like mine can get new customers and/or grow their following.
Thank you for this! We have been struggling with what's OK and not with Facebook's policies. You mentioned like, tag, share, etc. entry giveaways haven't shown much success, but we recently found out that requesting tags and shares are not allowed in their policies (anymore?). Not sure when this changed, but just wanted to make everyone aware. Again, thanks for the great information. - Clayton Kolavo, CTA, Visit Galveston.
Oh my gosh my mind is blown. This is fantastic! You just got a new subscriber. I am looking forward to watching and learning more from your content. Have a great weekend!
Awesome video, I've just subscribed! If the business is hamper giveaways, what would you suggest would be an intentional prize? I've found just doing a hamper as a prize, every single person enters because they want something for free, but they are not my ideal audience. Any ideas?

Great video, thanks. All online marketers keep talking about email lists being the most valuable of assets, but is that the case for all industries? What about one-time or rare-occasion purchases? Fine jewelry, for example. Do people really want to receive a monthly newsletter from a fine jewelry brand? What do you think?

What an absolutely banging video, fantastic. I learnt more in 12 and a half minutes than I did in hours of local government courses.
Thanks! Made me rethink how we've done contests in the past :)
Glad it helped!
Does facebook allow contests to ask for a like, comment, tag 3 friends or share for entries? I thought that was against TOS?
it is against terms of service

They did change it, but I I’ve never recommended It. Luckily they won’t have a choice now! Lol

This was excellent, Allie. Very thorough! Thank you. Do you use contest software? I've narrowed it down to UpViral and Gleam.
