@@hoangphung86 I have a note 8 and that has never happened to me also the only "bad" point is the battery but from there on out it is still better than a current mid-range

my note 8 is 4 years old....I get in 3 months 900 play hours...my record is 14 hours play a big game with out time outs...its now 900 play hours...in 2019 I played more than 900 hours in 3 months so..now I dont have time I have to work

we really need samsung to gave os updates for 4 years as i think 4 years is the sweet spot and it would show they are serious about the environment by then i would say most of us are thinking of buying a new phone.

Foremost, note 8 is flagship while a71 is midrange. That alone says it all. Note 8 is one beast phone that outlived all succeeding models even with its same category. The camera remains one of the best. It may not have an ultrawide mode but cropping a long-shot photo does the trick without pictiure compromise.
I took many great photos with my Note 8... And I'm pretty picky. I hate noise and grain in photos

I think it's worth noting that the note 8 doesn't have One UI 3.1, since a lot of people like me care about the gesture navigation, it doesn't exist on the note 8,and that's the only thing I hate about my note 8
I own both.... I love both. My Note 8 developed screen burn. My current daily dialer is the A71 5G.... It's very smooth and no complaints here. Either phone... Except the screen burn on my Note 8. Worth replacing the LCD screen?

I've had my note 8 since 2017, replaced screen 1 time. I still don't see the need to lease a newer phone for an extra $50 month when all I use it for is web and social net

Just slap on a 5,000-6,000 maH case charger you're good to go. If you're just hanging out at home, you can just leave it kn a wireless charger dock while you play on your PS, or you're focusing on something else. That's what I do and I just charge the case overnight.

Note 8 is not as good as A71, partly due to the software. I flash OneUI 2.5 on my Note 8, it is much faster now. The one I always complain about was the frame drop while rotating the screen. OneUI 2.5 solved the issue on Note 8 too. The hardware is actually good. Not to forget that Exynos 8895 was capable to record 4K60 video but Snapdragon 835 cannot.

i am seeing a lot of fellow note 8 users. i have a question : if one day our phone broke.. say the lcd / motherboard broke (which is the most expensive spare parts), is it better to fix it or buy a new phone with the same amount of money we use if we fix it ?
I also love my 4 years old Note 8 but if it had some major issue I would not repair it. It's fairly expensive to repair anything in it but we have to see that this phone is finally getting old.
Only thing I did is that I changed my battery for the first time just one week ago because it got really bad by now. (On 45% it dropped to zero in a minute) But this didn't cost that much money so that was still worth it.
@@Llyissibel ouch it's bittersweet. my screen has a little cracks on top left, but every system is still fine. i am hesitant to replace it with anything less than a flagship samsung phone :') but idk if i can afford another flagship on a whim when this one finally gives up on me. considering buying a second hand flagship of samsung note 10, but people say secondhands are tricky. buying new one is of course better *sigh* i guess no other option but to save up. maybe the middle range are good enough nowadays
@@winny5323 Yeah middle range samsungs are getting better and cheaper. If mine dies I might consider an A52s or an A7x variant. They seem decent.
If I would buy an A52s it would be only about 35% more than a screen replacement for a note 8 in my country 🤡
@@Llyissibel i wish a long life for your phone and mine lol i'm considering the new M variants, i can see the As are also thriving. i think samsung are pushing the ones with 5G, but that technology isn't ready here yet in my country. yess the note 8 screen replacement here is expensive as well, around $195.. hopefully in 2022 they will release more middle range phones with even better qualities
I've had the note 8 for over 2 years!! though I'm going to get a xs I absolutely loved this phone! Your able to customize stuff quickly.
But.... as you start using it it gets slow for certain apps, it depends on how you take care of it.
Please let me know Samsung note 8 will be get the update android 10 or one UI 2 or one UI 3 ?

its unbelievelbale that my note 8 is still today a good and perfekt phone i love it and the phone is 5jears old man!! unbelievebale !! this one ore 2 secends the are slower dont care the note 8 is still a aweseome phone in 2022 !! the only problem by the note 8 is android 9 !! THIS IS THE ONLY PROBLEM !! and this is the problem why he is sometimes a little bit slower !! and i find the note 8 has still the better haptik and is better tohold in the hand and so on ... and the A71 has android 11 and the note has only android 9 !!

I traded my tab s2 9.7 for tab s7 plus now. And it was running perfectly fine. Could have gotten few more years out of tabs2.

The reason why note won because that's a flagship phone the a series are a midrange so obviously they have quite weak specs the s and note series are the best

I don't think it's necessary to compare samsung models with each other! apple can be compared to samsung but again samsung will pass apple. Remember samsung class S and note class challenge and diss all phones, and in my opinion I don't need A71 and note 8, both of them are samsung!
