Scarborough is a popular seaside town on the North Yorkshire coast of England. South Bay and South Cliff are two distinct areas within Scarborough, each with its own set of attractions. Scarborough South Bay:

On behalf of our care home residents, thank you so much for putting the South Cliff walk on your channel! It’s one we’ve been hoping for. I have added it to the list of your Scarborough videos which I use for the “Virtual Walks” sessions which I do with them. The residents are mostly Scarborough folk and unfortunately, most are living with dementia. For them to see the familiar sights of their town (with added commentary and local history provided by me) is such a tonic for them, you’ve no idea! We have a “Virtual Walk” as part of our reminiscence therapy and it’s lovely to hear the stories they tell and the conversations that your videos start.

More Scarborough videos on the way and will definitely be covering South Cliff again for sure - Since I was first taken to Scarborough by my grandad back in the early 70s the South Cliff area hasn’t ever been anywhere I’ve visited 😮😮 I’m ashamed to say that I’m still very new to it but loved filming this walk and discovering a whole new side to my favourite seaside!!

I missed our holiday In scarborough
due to my chemo, so thank you for sharing, I do miss the tree walk In peasholm park I do wish they would get It up and running again younger kids and the adults who remember It would love It.
At last! My favourite bit of Scarborough, away from the crowds and the noise, with a dog-friendly beach too. The Spa is the main reason Scarborough exists as a holiday resort and I have been many times for the annual jazz festival, staying in whichever of the cliff top hotels and guest houses had a room I could afford. Thanks for taking me back there.
By the way, I do like your new minimalist commentary approach and the absence of those trainer shots :-)

Wow,wow,wow. So many memories, been there so many times. Wish I could do that walk now. Fantastic gardens, so peaceful. Just to sit and take in the views. Dances at The Spa, friends past and present. Thank you. Will watch again, tears in my eyes.

Great video, wasn't aware of that part of Scarborough - you've been a great help with this video plus the Whitby ones - we've just had to cancel our holiday for this year as I've broken my shoulder badly in two places and were due to travel this coming weekend - this video has decided that we will go to Scarborough and Whitby next year and have just booked our holiday there for a year's time, giving me time to hopefully fully recover. Thank you for cheering up an ageing man and his dear lady who were feeling just a tad sad! Regards.

Thanks for this video Neil,am staying at the south bay at the moment and we are doing the walks around that area daily now,really beautiful part of scarborough that most don't know about,they improve it every year yet it stays unspoilt.This has to be the best resort in the uk with everything within walking distance.great video.

Very nice. It's good to see South Cliff getting some attention instead of the usual South Bay and North Bay areas. All the work they have done in the last couple of years fixing the paths etc seems to be paying off. And the Italian Gardens are looking amazing just now!

Never been but thoroughly enjoyed this, the scenery and architecture and the serenity, so different to the Whitby one, which was good but pretty manic being a Bank Holiday, I think out of the two I know what I would prefer
