    Thanks so much for sharing your designs! Bought your pdf book too. I’ve ordered the mod podge for some of your others I’m planning to do, but do you recommend I use it on this pair as well?

    • @snailsandfairydust
      @snailsandfairydust  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s up to you. I haven’t felt the need to use it on this pair but if you feel yours are a bit wobbly then I would say go for it.

    Love the earring style I did mine in different colors but I just can't figure how to get the final bead to stay at the end point of blue, would you show that in a tutorial??

      Hi, sorry this was one of my first videos and I must have left that part out. I’m going to post a link to another diamond earring tutorial. At 12:52 in this video, you will see when I add the bottom bead.

    Wow, these are so beautiful! Also, love your nails. I’m new to beading and have been watching a few of your tutorials - why did you go from ladder stitch to brick stitch when starting the lower half and then switch back to ladder stitch for the blue?

    • @snailsandfairydust
      @snailsandfairydust  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is only one row of ladder stitch, the very first row. The top section is decreasing brick stitch and then the bottom section (with the blue) is also decreasing brick stitch. I separated it into two sections because it is easier to weave decreasing brick stitch from the center for a beginner rather than starting with increasing brick stitch and switching to decreasing.

    You're the best! I have a question: I finished my earring but I see yours is more stiff. How could I achieve that?

    • @snailsandfairydust
      @snailsandfairydust  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are so sweet! I use a very thin layer of Mod Podge to make it stiffer. I actually have a video about using different stiffening agents on my beadwork here's the link th-cam.com/video/LZK2i9-ORDw/w-d-xo.html

    Hi! How do you know whether to go under the thread bridge from the front or from the back. I've seen you do both, and I can't figure out why/when you do front or back. I've done half my diamond, and I am trying to do the other half, and I am confusing myself on whether to in in from front or back when adding a new row. Thanks!!

    • @snailsandfairydust
      @snailsandfairydust  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can go under the thread bridge from either direction. 👍🏾

    Are you using a single thread or do you slide your needle to the middle and use a double thread?

      I'm not sure. If you don't have a beading store that sells them, I'm sure you can order them online from Europe or the United States.

    Great video... excellent work... but i really have a big doubt. If had used beading thread how come your earrings are stiff and straight and not flexible. I ask this because my earring when i tried with your tutorial it was not stiff as yours. Please explain why is mine nit stiff like yours

    • @snailsandfairydust

      Are you using Fireline beading thread? If use the fireline beading thread in 6lb weight, you will have much more structure to your piece because it is thicker. Also, you need to keep your thread tension tight - no gaps in between. In this video I do not use and stiffening agent, but I have a video about different things you can use to make your beadwork stiffer. Here’s a link to that video

    Buongiorno! È davvero brava e per questo vorrei farle una domanda: come si fa a rendere rigida una creazione a brick stitch? Sono all'inizio e, dopo alcuni tentativi, non riesco ad ottenere il risultato che vorrei. Grazie per la risposta

    • @snailsandfairydust
      @snailsandfairydust  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Using the right thread is important. The fireline thread i use is thicker than normal thread and gives muck more structure to your piece. Once your pice is finished, sometimes I use a product call Mod Podge to make it stiffer. But I’m this video, I have not used it. I hope this helps!
