Best tutorial on brick stitch. I used this and was able to teach my 7-year-old grandson on how to the brick stitch in an hour! Before finding this, it took me 2 weeks to comfortably be able to do it well.
I'm just learning and really struggling with brick stitch. This video just brought it all together for me! Thank you, thank you, thank you for your easy to understand descriptions
Everyone who has already commented is 💯 correct- You are a fantastic instructor! Your calm voice and clear instruction are just what we need when we're learning a new technique. Thank you so very much, I subscribed too.
I just learned how to do this with your tutorial. You are a great teacher, and anyone like me can learn really fast. Thank you so very much for your tutorial, it is by far, the best I have seeing in all the time I have been looking for a step by step how to do this. You are great.
Loved this. The pace was perfect for me to be able to follow along without having to pause at every step. The diagrams of how to do this type of weave were difficult for me to follow. This really made a difference!❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for the tutorial! I made three little tiny trees. For some reason one side is curving in and another side is bowing out do you know what this could be because of?
Hi, I’d recommend miyuki, toho or czech preciosa for precision beading because all of the beads are very uniform in size and shape which is essential for this type of weaving :)
For the smaller beads what size of string and needle do you use? I keep having mine get stuck and can’t pull it through or breaking the beads. Thank you.
Thank you, your video Has helped. I just started beading and my project is beading a hummingbird. Please help me how to start from 3 to 14 increase to decrease 14 to 2 beads. This is one side of body. I have to than do the other side the same way to connect in tubular. Martha
I’m not sure if will help, it’s hard without seeing the pattern but I would start with a base row of 14 and decrease from there instead of increasing, I always start on my widest row because it’s easier to decrease than increase
This video is an excellent brick stitch tutorial but I understand your worry. I also would want to hide the thread. There is a way to do that, to _hide the thread._ You need to start a row with two beads. I found a really good explanation but I can’t put a URL link in a TH-cam comment, it will be deleted. Instead… Search for the web page called: myworldofbeads Then search for the page called: Learn brick stitch She gives a concise explanation with drawings how to successfully keep the thread hidden on the sides. And she gives lots of tips to be successful with brick stitch. To give a summary of her tip: Start every row by picking up TWO beads. Then, for the rest of the row, just add 1 bead in each stitch. Why is this important? Well, this rule is all about disguising your thread. If you add just one bead at the start of a row, then you will end up with an exposed thread sitting around the side of the bead. Quoted from: Learn brick stitch, Katie Dean, My World of Beads
Hi, this is brick stitch, the same effect can also be produced by doing peyote stitch, two different techniques but they can create the same end result

Great instructor.
Thank you
Love the Tom nook
Great tutorial
Thank you x
Fabulous!
For the "increase section" of this video, how did you travel back down and not have your single top bead sit slightly on the side?
I'm having the same problem with mine, I'm guessing we travel down the side down through the beads, but do we tie off somewhere? 🤔
That's where I'm stuck too
Beautiful
Thanks for the tutorial! I made three little tiny trees. For some reason one side is curving in and another side is bowing out do you know what this could be because of?
Great camera angles!!!
Wow thank you very much
Thankyou .very helpful.
Your videos are so easy to follow just one question why on base row are the holes in my beads going to the side not the top
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Yaah thanks
How long does your string need to be when you cut it
What brand of beads do you recommend, I’m very new to beading and I bought some low quality beads that seemingly make it more difficult.
Hi, I’d recommend miyuki, toho or czech preciosa for precision beading because all of the beads are very uniform in size and shape which is essential for this type of weaving :)
,your work is Beautiful do you make Christmas orderments. With seed beads I bet they would be nice. Thank you janice
Thank you, I’m hoping to make some Christmassy things this year :)
thank you!
For the smaller beads what size of string and needle do you use? I keep having mine get stuck and can’t pull it through or breaking the beads. Thank you.
I usually use 6lb fireline which has a 0.006 inch diameter and I will use a size 12 for tiny beads or size 10 needle for most other sizes

Gracias por su enseñansa lo valoro mucho pues lo que aprendo hacer mesirbe para venderlo mil gracias
Sería posible que fuera en español??
👏👏👏👏
Is the string always going to show on the side of the triangle? Is it always going to be exposed that way?
This video is an excellent brick stitch tutorial but I understand your worry. I also would want to hide the thread.

Al inicio al colocar sólo una mostacilla o delica queda el hilo por fuera y se ve poco agradable.
Thank you for showing how to tutorial😅
What thread do you use?
Fireline crystal 6lb
સાડી પિન બનાવી વૌય તો કેવી રીતે બનાવવી
Beads size11or 15
Grazie 😘
What a weird way to do it and leave the thread exposed on the outside beads. There’s a much better and more secure way of doing it.
I’ll have to look it up, thanks
You need to correct that it’s not a brick stitch. It’s called a peyote stitch. Just saying, beautiful work you’re doing there.
Hi, this is brick stitch, the same effect can also be produced by doing peyote stitch, two different techniques but they can create the same end result
This is brick. I do peyote and although similar, not the same.
