      if you wanted to add safety eyes where would be the best position to place them?

      @@islene01 I would say between rows 11 and 12 of the head on the sides similar to where the embroidered eyes are placed ! Just make sure you place them while crocheting the head! I hope this helps 🥰

    Thank you for this tutorial and pattern. It’s so much more “life like” than other patterns. I’ve crocheted for years, and there are many patterns out there for regular amigurumi. But for the velvet and chenille yarns the detail of the object often get lost. It makes cute stuffies for kids but I was hoping for more than just cute. This sure is awesome.

    Thank you I just made 2. The shaping on this pattern is excellent! The second one I tried crocheting the spikes directly to the body. Both ways look great for those wanting a no sew option.

    If I use a smaller hook can I get the size of Sally down?

    • @doubledutchcrochet
      @doubledutchcrochet  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes! You will have a slightly smaller sally, however if you want it a lot smaller you’ll have to use a smaller weight yarn !

      @@doubledutchcrochet Thank you. Yes I would like it smaller.

    What size is the seahorse after it's finished?

    • @doubledutchcrochet
      @doubledutchcrochet  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The one in this video was 10” long by 7” wide! Keeping in mind that different tension, different sized crochet hook and different yarn will all change the final size ! I hope this helps 🥰

      I'm using a size 4 worsted. I'm thinking a size 4 hook. What size hook would you suggest?@@doubledutchcrochet

      @@lilbitofsouthernspirit7788 I personally use a small hook with medium weight yarn because if you use too big of a hook, your going to have bigger spaces between stitches and with that, you will most likely be able to see the stuffing. So for me, I usually use a 2.5-3mm hook with medium yarn for amigurumi! Hope that helps
