If a man abuses you in front of your kids, he’s abusing them too and if you don’t leave, you’re a party to the abuse. You know he’s like this and you stay w/him and leave him alone w/your child after family said he threw the son across the room and you came home and found your baby w/a black eye already. She was abused too and its not easy to just leave. She has clearly seen sense and is putting her children first now. That means she is a good mother. Until you have been in that situation you have no idea.

Some people just feel like no one will love them. Especially damaged so they get in the mindset of "what's the point", for some people that kind of treatment is all they know so it feels normal in a messed up way.
Children can be used to trap people in a relationship, especially women. Considering she isn’t smart enough to identify when she’s being abused and take actions to prevent it. It doesn’t surprise me that she went on to have children with her abuser who probably didn’t give her much choice in the matter. It gives the abuser all sorts of emotional control over the ‘mother’ not to mention if they tried to just leave with the kids and didn’t have enough evidence as to why, they can be jailed for kidnapping and loose all their rights immediately.

People are so quick to judge her for staying, but they just don’t understand the psychological manipulation, how the abuser completely erodes all your self worth, and that the most dangerous time for victims of abuse is when they’re leaving. Things are never as cut and dry as we hope.

To be fair some judges ignore abuse victims even when there’s children in the house. And victims can end up jailed and lose custody if they try to run. It’s why some abused children end up dead because of joint custody despite evidence to show the child is in danger. A recent case where a cop father was shown to be abusive to his autistic son but a judge ignored the mom and school’s plea and he could have some custody then the child died from neglect and abuse.

It’s crazy when you know someone for so long that you trust them. You think they’re a good person but good people snap. I was friends with someone for long time and I completely trusted him around children. One day on Facebook, I saw he was having a child with someone. I was so happy for him because I recently had mine. Then two months later I checked Facebook and his whole family said RIP for the little baby only at two months. I was so shocked and I thought an accident happened. Then I saw people bashing him and I was so confused. He shook the baby and threw him across the room multiple times. I couldn’t believe what I was reading and he finally got his sentence last month I believe for life in prison. I just could never see him doing that because he was such a niceeeee person. He knew my entire family and everyone was so confused on why. His name was Zach Mccaa and he was from Caledonia, NY. He pleaded not guilty yet he was the only one home

I don't feel sorry for the mother. She knew her man was abusive to her while she was pregnant potentially harming the unborn baby but continued to stay and leave her kids with him.
The look on her face, I know that look. The disappointment, pain, betrayal, the fear, the sad realization that the one person you thought you can trust, rely on, depend on, share a life with and grow a family together, Suddenly its the reality that hits you when the person you first fell for is no longer there, but is replaced by a darker meaner angrier one that uses you as their release of frustration. Of course you start trying to excuse it, trying to rationalize their actions but when Their actions transfer to the babies, that's when you need to exit.

This demands an update. How many years did Carlos get in prison? I’m guessing 15-20. He sure deserves a lot of time. His half assed denials are weak sounding. A jury won’t need much time to convict him. No way can a defense lawyer put him on the stand. He would end up with 40 years.

Think of the long term damage he may have already caused those young children. The thought of him throwing a baby forcefully across the room onto the couch his horrifying. I hope that if the mother gets her children back she doesn't pick another abusive man and wind up in another relationship with a monster. The test revealed that she was being honest about having NEVER witnessed him being abusive to a child so I don't know how the relative witnessed it. He must know she would leave him if she saw it or he wouldn't have hidden it so well. He must be capable of controlling his temper if he always treated the children okay when she was around. I guess he actually must have enjoyed bullying them as soon as she was away.

Ok.. why do women constantly stay with abusive men THEN have babies with him? She should have left. But she didnt and to me she just as bad as him. She did nothing protect her babies. She has no right to get angry when she didnt seem to care the first time her kid got injured. She needs to lose her kids for good and he needs to be under the jail.
Manipulation, gaslighting, low-self esteem, you name it. It's common in abusive relationships. Sad, but it's the truth. 😣😪😔 Not just women, but men also.
It's not as simple as leaving. It becomes more dangerous after you leave.
Why are so many people so ignorant about domestic violence? Within the first year many victims are killed when they try to leave or their children are abused or killed because a judge doesn’t take the claims seriously despite hospital visits. Domestic violence starts with mental abuse first then emotional and physical and financial. It’s easy for some people who never experienced it to lack empathy or refuse to do research. This of course makes it easier for abusers to use other people to gain more control over their victims. That willful ignorance.
