These are great videos. Keep em coming. Ive been turkey hunting for 29 years this year and love it and have been extremely successful with 30+ birds under my belt. Learning some things I never knew and will use a lot of these new tips in my hunt next week. Hope everyone has a great season. Good luck!!. "Be the bird, not the call" .
Nice video, as someone who has made hundreds of pot calls…I would say with regard to the tight circles, a lot of that depends on the actual characteristics of that specific call and the volume/type of yelp. In general the softer and less raspy the yelp, the tighter circle/j. Some calls will actually roll over better with bigger loops and to get loud or aggressive you really need to know how to do this and everything in between. You’ll have to learn to snap on a bigger loop while going faster and with lighter peg pressure to get rasp on the back end. It can be a more J pattern on the roll over and it may almost feel like a pause to get the cadence right between notes. Every call is different but if you learn how to change grip pressure, pot peg pressure, and size/direction of loops you’ll be able to figure out how to make just about any call sing with a matching striker
Thanks man. We think just alike my dad was taking me hunting 7 8. 9. Thin I never stop I’m 55 now and I take a Box call I have try every call out there. But wen I go hunting I got my Box call iv kill more turkey. One I killed had 2” s

Thanks Jason. I struggled with mouth call untill you taught me I could cut the tape
This Video just opened up a whole new level of calling for me.
I would love to hunt with him....jus to watch and hear his wisdom....man talk about an experience!!
Absolutely
Great video. Thanks for the tips.
Also the shape of the striker tip creates a different sound. Acorn or mushroom tip strikers give a more dense sound.
Did you say that was a graphite striker?
great how to, cant wait to chase some more birds around this spring!
