As of the Abyss of Dagath update 18th Oct '23, these setups no longer one shot an Archon. They are still perfectly viable damage setups for doing the fights, but the shock and awe factor is gone.
On the Upside: Dagath with any high-DPS crit gun will shred any Archon in less than a minute. I just soloed Amar with Incarnon Telos Boltor. It took like half the effort I usually put in following this Ivara guide
@@haneefy8700 same, but it seems to be an unpopular opinion. Maybe de makes it like orphix venom, being a node in railjack, but maybe you dont need other people for the kill codes to avoid it becoming dead and unplayable?
I'm glad you brought up the laetum/Xata's whisper combo. I use this on my trinity. Xata's whisper is essentially a guaranteed separate bullet that deals a portion of your original shot’s aggregate damage. This separate bullet is classified as being of the weapon that dealt the original damage. Since every projectile in an anti-crit laetum build has a 50% chance of multiplying damage by 21x, you could use Xata's whisper to double dip. Say a bullet does 100 damage, and Xata's whisper has 50% magnitude. If your first shot procs, you deal 2100 damage from the normal shot + 1050 damage from the Xata's whisper shot. If the Xata's whisper shot procs, you only deal 100 damage + 1050 damage. If BOTH shots proc, you deal 2100 damage + (1050 x 21) = 24150 damage. This is a multiplication of original damage by 241.5 times, and all of this is applied AFTER mods. It is very easy to get Xata's whisper well past 50% magnitude, so you can imagine how utterly ridiculous this gets. It gets even more insane when a faction mod is equipped, as Xata's whisper double dips into those as well.
if you DO use Ivara I recommend using eclipse for a larger damage buff because activating prowl in a light spot will give you permanent access to the light buff as long as you dont drop prowl
The Phenmor definitely is the right in between of one shot and the fight feeling like work while fighting the boss.... if you want to see what the boss has to offer definitely try Phenmor
I do agree I did enjoy the fight with the Phenmor, it just sucks to be forced to take weapons from a pool of less than 10 weapons to make the fight anything but tedious. They had / still have so much potential to add meaningful & mechanically challenging phases and instead went for the laziest possible option of making him immune to virtually all abilities and weapons.
Phenmor for boss and laetum for mobs. I make sure before going to the objective, both weapons are full of incarnon charges. Then switch to incarnon mode on the boss. When it flies, just switch to laetum to deal with trash mobs. I managed not to deplete all phenmor incarnon charge when doing the hunt.
I really like this, and I made a few tweaks to improve it. I sacrificed rolling guard for empowered quiver and changed intensify for umbral intensify. This gives me an extra %220 percent crit damage, and hanging out on a zip line is safer than being on the ground. Also and your hanging out above him headshots are easier to make, you dont have to get him facing just the right way. With this build I can one shot the archon without roar or other damage buffs.
Yes! I love using Empowered quiver on my Ivara, the buffs apply to Allie’s too, and even just having a status cleanse on her is useful in a pinch. Too many people sleep on quiver
Zenurik's Temporal Drag (the slow) IS an ability, therefore it cannot directly affect any of the Archons. Same logic applies to Unairu's Armor strip, since it is an ability it does not apply to the Archon.
I suggest Empowering Quiver too. Bonus crit damage and it's easier to get headshots from above. Also works wonders with the current Archon since his phase 2 includes a sweeping attack similar to Jackal's. Which shouldn't be a problem at all if you're sitting on a wire above
This is definitive proof DE needs to stop putting damage attention on things It does LITERALLY NOTHING to stop min-max players from one tapping bosses BUT it does make content IMPOSSIBLE for the average player
I disagree with the second paragraph, common, non minmaxed squads are able to take the archons in 10-15 minutes. It is not IMPOSSIBLE and there's no need to CRY and LIE to provide valid arguments for an unfun mechanic to be removed.
@@just_one23 I did exhaduarate (can never work out the correct spelling of the word, sorry) but I was very mad due to wasting 30 minutes+ on a fight I was very bored on. I am sorry to be petty but what was your squad bringing that managed to take it down in 10-15 minutes?
@@Dracosian4802 you're not petty for asking. I've done the Archon fights a few times each, and people mostly seem to bring unoptimized frames, styanax or tanky frames are often used. Incarnon weapons and huge burst shotguns are increasingly common as the news of archons getting oneshoted become widespread, but no even on the earliest days a mission would last more than 20 mins. You probably were unlucky on your attempt.
@@just_one23 Think about how many guns there are in the game, (going to ignore melee, since DE sees to have). Out of all the hundreds of guns only let us say 20 (a bit of a generous guess) are even slightly viable and only due to Errors. This is what I mean by Min-Max, most players won't be rocking riven-60% kuva hekk with every single buff on at once. They will probably bring some random prime modded fairly well. If they do this they will have an unfun experience.
@@Dracosian4802 then they should move over to something like the Phenmor and/or Laetum which are without a riven already very strong. A frame like Chroma with a solid built or hell even a Rhino can do a lot as well, though a Revenant is also a solid, safe and easy choice. And all three of them are Frames that can be obtained fairly easily if one has played to the point of having unlocked the Archon Hunt and should have a sufficient arsenal of mods. It will take a while, yeah, but lets be honest: those who one-shot bosses like the Archons have put in quite some time into creating individual builds to make such a mission a matter of seconds and not minutes.
Ivara with smite infusion with an Octavia who has roar. I like this set up. Octavia does her 4th ability and roar to boost the ivara and she uses her smite infusion and headshot multiplier to one shot. Octavia will also be invisible the entire time and can stay mostly out of the way but available if something goes wrong. My friend and I had this set up and while it took us a little bit to get coordination we got it eventually. Weapons I used was kuva hek for one shot, redeemer prime for any other threat. I also had the knell as a back up modded with radiation just like the hek and corrosive on the redeemer. My friend just used his glaive to deal with enemies at the canister.
If you are willing to go for just a tiny bit more optimization (or potentially not farming a new kuva hek), radiation infusion on the khek and a secondary with good status chance, viral and lots of status duration can "guarantee" the 1shot, just make sure to not mod for damage on the secondary and switching fast to the primary also helps
I love that the Kuva Hek is STILL the best Single Target Headshot weapon in the game. Pretty sure it's recommended to be used against the Nemesis' "Liches" and "Sisters", and now it's a murder machine. Luckily I have a Ivara so this shouldn't be too hard. Edit: I'll need to get myself a Kuva Hek with of course Toxin, but I have a stockpile of Requiem Mods, and a lot more powerful weapons then before.
@@35reich Gonna be honest with ya mate, this doesn't exactly feel intended lmao. Plus, this kind of cheese was already being used vs Liches and Sisters, do we really need more cheese?
The reason it feels the incarnon weapons get a larger benefit from xata's whisper than they should has everything to do with xata's whisper being an "extra hit" ability. There are only three abilities in the game that are considered "extra hit" and those abilities are Saryn's toxic lash, xata's whisper, and technically zephyr's tornados, but zephyr's tornados require some specific interactions to be extra hits, as well as navigating some weird janky mechanics that DE definitely didn't duct tape together and call it a day. Because xata's whisper is an extra hit, any elemental bonus you put in the weapon is converted to adding damage to the extra hit's elemental (so if you use primed cryo rounds on a weapon, and activate saryn's toxic lash, that 165% weapon damage is going into your toxic lash's total damage in the damage calculation, and the same thing goes for xata's whisper.) On top of that, you're using roar as well, and roar is counted in the game's code as faction damage. The way it works directly is by just stuffing itself where the faction damage is calculated in the multiplier, so if you have a primed bane mod for +55% and activate a rhino buff for 50%, the faction damage modifier becomes 105% (and in game is expressed as "(1*damage*damage modifiers)*(1+0.55+0.5 faction damage)* (1+crit and headshots and other shit you probably already know but if you don't just use the wiki lmao).") The way extra hit abilities interact with faction damage and multishot specifically are super well known in the endurance running community, and it's one of the ways players have been able to achieve billions of damage seemingly out of nowhere for the longest time, turning thinks like the MK-1 Kunai with the mod concealed explosives into level-cap-steel-path viable killing tools. The multiplicative interactions that are happening are super convoluted and the fact that you found the same result when running these missions is no surprise to me. It's just a surprise that the extra hit mechanic is working on the archon fights, seeing as how everybody was saying that the archons are "immune to abilities" and I was assured that saryn and zephyr would be bunk. If you have any questions I'll gladly answer, and if you wanna really get into it I have a few youtubers who make really great content explaining this stuff way more thoroughly than I can
I’d love to check out those TH-camrs! I’ve been trying to find sources for deep math endgame play, but most of my go-to’s from back in the day have stopped playing the game
@@davidporter28 it entirely depends. For example, for sentient enemies, because faction damage can't be modded for (outside the sacrificial mods) the faction bonus from roar is a strong contender, even though the damage from xata's being void damage deals extra to sentients, raw faction damage should on average deal more after a certain damage threshold when talking raw Damage, let alone the DOT effects. However if you're dealing stealth damage on say a melee+invis build, then xata's 100% cakes the take. Eclipse as a buff should be considered like an elemental bonus without the element attached, as that's pretty much how its calculated (unless I'm wrong and its additive and I'm dumb, in which case ignore me.) As for archons specifically? Roar. Roar wins no question, but in general it entirely depends. The More you mod for a specific stat, the more diminishing your returns will be on the bonus as a general rule, so each build for each weapon will be uniquely specializing in the bonuses you can get the most out of, be it crit, DOT's, conditional multipliers, Stealth, or a combination of many
Now the game itself needs to explain this and other damage dealing concepts to the players in a hands-on way and nobody would ever complain about bosses being too bulky. Anyway fantastic explanation, thanks for doing DE's job for them :D
@@loafofbread9400 Except it's completely nonsensical. The game's entire gearing and modding system is you stacking up higher and higher numbers and bonuses. But now there's a boss that....actively punishes you for hitting it as hard as you can to make the fight artificially longer? Status effects and abilities that we have been trained to use to armor/shield strip are now useless? Like this is the same bs from when Arbitrations were first introduced. This isn't difficulty. This is artificial inflation to force the fight to last longer and longer, and to make the no-self-revives rule matter at all. They continually hamper personal player choice despite giving us systems that should be *encouraging* it. Helminth is nothing more than a "Insert Roar/meta ability" gimmick, weapons that aren't meta top tier continue to lag behind and require more and more work and grinding just to make halfway viable so you can kill light enemies on the average late game mission. Yeah, you shouldn't be able to take a base rank 30 Lato into an Archon Hunt and one-shot the boss, but it's increasingly frustrating to take a weapon, forma it several times, mod it to the best of your ability, and then see it do jack shit because DE abandoned it on release and chose to suck off Kuva/Tenet weapons some more. And worse, because it's a sandbox game, there is absolutely no in-game help for the new/returning player to seek out how to catch up and understand current meta, and so they have to rely on youtubers and fellow players to have even the vaguest understanding of wtf is going on or what delusional mechanic the newest tileset/missions have introduced...which usually involves enemies with hyper-inflated armor/shield ratings that continue to make corrosion/magnetic feel less and less useful. You can't even have faith in them to QA their new frames, so even on release you end up having to wait and see if the new warframe is meta or dogshit, and even then the community spends two months arguing about whether or not said frame even *is* dogshit before they forget what they were arguing about. TH-camrs spend the first month of release absolutely beating off to the new frame every chance they get, because it gets them clicks, and then like a week after they're talking about how it's an "average" frame that's no better than Helminth fodder. There hasn't been one point throughout the Archon Hunt series that I've felt was rewarding or fun in the slightest. It was a numbers crunch with a boss that can instantly kill you or summon friends that can instantly kill you.

I always seem to come back to this video just to rewatch it for fun every now and then. I've directed quite a few players here aswell when they wondered how I one shotted the archon. Truly a great video.
I was having some problems with my Revenant/Phenmor build with the archons so I tried your Ivara/Kuva Hek combo instead, and it worked. I couldn't really one-tap them, but it was enough to take down the serpent without much trouble with the Crit-Line mod. ^^ Thank you for the help, this video explained a lot that I was troubled with. :)
Once again I follow a build exactly and yet I can't replicate it's results. However you explained their armor well and still provided a build good enough to melt them quickly, even if I can't get that amazing once shot puled off. Thank you very much!!!
I was probably capping, I tried again today and managed the one shot I guess I wasn't properly stacking buffs ended up subsuming smite infusion instead of roar so that I don't waste mods for rad modding, silent battery to help stacking was essential if not it makes it super hard to survive with squishy power strength build, maybe a cloak arrow to stack might work but I'd recommend silent battery. Thanks for the vid
I tried oneshoting archons with both Chroma's builds (the normal vex armor and the "xata's whisper+cold elemental ward") and it was very fun to do! Specially the xatas one. I go with my Arca Scisco, hit his head to proc void and quickly change to Kuva Hek or Felarx to annihilate him. Also did it with Ivara on top of her dashwire for +300% critical damage. Very satisfaying.
The built for Ivara is good, however I suggest to use "Quick Thinking" instead of "Rolling Guard", because it's a much much better lifesaver that will prevent one from dying easily as long as one has enough energy. One can allow a mistake or two, or even play more aggressive without having to worry about AOE-attacks or Fire-procs from enemies if the Rolling Guard CD is down. I'd also suggest to use a Compation like Djinn because the revive this Companion provides is even in the Archon Quest still valid and useable (at least in Solo).
Hey, I know you won't see this, but I've had success with vigorous swap on Ivara with the Hek. I quickly swap to melee and back, and I can oneshot the archon without the arcane/galvanized mod buff
I know this is outdated but for Aerolysts you should mention ELECTRIC PROCS. One clean Xoris to their head and they begin to shock their own belts. Effortless removal, even easier than Stropha or Catchmoon.
@@hallowieners Keep thinking that kid. There are only a handful of weapons that are top tier and outperform every other one in the game. Lots of MR fodder to say the least.
Good to know i should've been doing the final part of archon hunt alone for a quicker kill, i emptied 2 full incarnon mags on phenmor to no avail but now i realize it's because the inaros was spamming attack with orthos and never leaving the archons side.
So basically, the most efficient way of doing them is going solo thanks to the applied attenuation ... Another great game design, DE! Keep it up, and there will not be a single public queue for the archon showdown.
Anyone with at least half a brain should know that in any game in general is that solo is the best way to play because the enemies health, armor, etc. is going to be at it's lowest because the games code "scales" with the amount of players in a session.
I love how the augments like smite infusion, venom dose, shock trooper etc, let's you get around that '1 attack buff ability per frame' stuff. I use smite infusion and shock trooper on my Volt to eidolon hunt with the vastilok. Hadn't thought about using it for archons much.
i put a general use viral heat build on my felarx and noticed i can happily kill the archons with it without any damage buffs, definitely no one shotting, but it doesn't take very long
it's not so much that they can't it's the fact that they never will they pander to the new/casual players more often than not with everything plus even if the content is "challenging" even the veterans complain with Railjack's initial launch in 2020 being case and point
@@theunhingedgamer3762 To be honest, I don't think they can regardless to who they pander to due to how much you can abuse the game, coupled with spaghetti code that this game has. The power fantasy is just way too much that they rely on shitty game mechanics like health gating bosses and damage attenuation.
If you dont have a plan for balancing besides waiting until the problems are big enough to need nerfs or attenuation, of course theres no consistency in damage output
If you want him to stop moving, bring a loud secondary and shoot nearby. Enemies in warframe within 20m that hear a gunshot have a chance to go into an alerted status where they look in the direction of the sound. It’s not 100% reliable but if it works, he will give you easy headshots.

Great to have Archons sorted out! Wondering about replacing Chilling Reload with Burdened Magazine? Give you a magazine capacity of 6 at max rank, means more shots to multishot right? Not like you need to reload fast right? 😂 Edit: RIP, the alt fire still only fires 4 shots
I found out that the archons ( and so is everything in the game ) is not immune to silence by Banshee. You can subsume silence and then just take your time shooting its face casually.
@@0netwoguy54 Ok, I tested it again with a 180% strength-ish Ivara and a crappy Cernos Prime using the 60 status radiation mods with a decent riven. It took a good chunk of the health but not oneshot territory. I didn’t try with Ivara’s Quiver augment that would give extra crit damage either because of polarity problems.
What a coincidence I decided to do a random Kuva weapon and got 56% Toxic Kuva Hek and was just wondering about its efficiency. I mean, for me, nothing is easier than unga-bunga Ignis Wraith where you need to aim in the general vicinity of the bad guys, but it is starting to outgrow its usefulness. Glad to know I can melt stuff now
i was surprised to see the kuva hek 1 shoting when someone told me about it, i used to use knell prime the amount of fire rate and crit multipler is just too much dmg but no where neer the hek
Ivara augment for her 1 gives a lot of crit damage if im correct but it does limit your movement might be worth mentioning. Also vigorous swap, not sure if that is a final bonus but might be useful
Hek is definitely a nice gun. And even with it being a shotgun it is accurate as a sniper rifle. I always loved it in it. Seeing more and more videos like this appear is... nervous? Because we all know how DE will "fix" this gun after these videos as they "fix" all the fun and really devoted loadouts
So, I saw the open and paused, I am currently guessing, it's Prowl's Headshot Multiplier letting you do the one shot. Possibly it needs to be Kuva Hek or some other really high damage per pellet shotgun for the multiple headshots in the same shot. EDIT: HAH, Prowl is such a funny ability :D.
I just used nyx with 270 duration and 130 efficiency + assimilate augment and I lasted the entirety of the mission invulnerable, took no damage, but this ivara way seems infinitely faster
It's an interesting build, it can be done in several ways, in my case I don't have the Hek's prime mods, I decided to exchange Rhino's roar for Mirage's Eclipse and change Ivara's Build for a force-focused one (reach 330 %) with some ability duration. It still works perfectly.
The 2 problems I'd see with eclipse is the inconsistency due to light levels always showing the max damage buff but usually not giving the max amount and I'm not sure if it'd calculated the same way as roar is where it's done after modding and acts as a faction modifier
@@uncoveredkhan09gaming38 eclipse is completely multiplicative with mods, meanwhile roar is additive with faction damage mods. I don’t know if eclipse buffs damage before or after damage attenuation like faction damage does (if my memory from the video serves me correct)
I killed Amar with a fully modded Radiation Vectis Prime with no issue. Why use regular Flow? Primed Flow offers much more energy and you can stay invisible for longer.
Tanky Gloom Garuda works great too with her passive giving 100% damage buff when stacked, Gloom and tankiness is just to keep lazy players like me alive. Kuva Hek was my choise too after testing a few other options, coupled with Corrosive Catchmoon with Pax Charge and Corrosive Stropha. Worth mentioning that unless you are running with experienced players or a premade team, it is better to run it solo.
2:08 idk man I have a video of me doing 3,800,000 while using a weapon with -200% damage. I think it bugs out when your damage is too low as most shots do 0 damage and once in a while I'll do dozens of thousands and very rarely millions.
For my first fight I brought a mega buffed tenora with wisp and the helminth ammo efficiency. For the numbers I was pumping out I was disappointed it wasn't doing a lot and I didn't know why.
When I heard high damage in a single shot I immediately thought kuva Chakkhurr not kuva hek The build I was thinking would be using that with Mirage Prime with Hall of Mirrors
Would a Harrow Prime's covenant be of any use? Theorectically speaking, no crit rate would be needed. Stacked with everything else, an insta kill is essentially guaranteed?
I think this boss coupled with aoe nerfs shows the new biggest flaw with the damage system, however it doesnt have too wide of a range so it isnt that bad
Great introduction video! I personally used Nezha with its enemy weakening ability (chakram) with infused roar. Of course, you need kuva hek. I am not sure if DE would do something about this approach, but we'll see about that soon enough.
@@tonyoliver2684 Oh wow, so I guess the chakram was just a placebo? That's too bad :( on well. I am actually concerned about the possibility where DE would just simply remove headshot spots on archons. Hope that never happens.
I'm currently a bit miffed about Boreal. I'm doing exactly what i did on my playthrough of the New War and what you said in the video on the repulsion field (09:17) but it just doesn't seem to work at all. I go into the buble and do exactly 0 dmg from what the number show me and i have no idea why.
i didn't know that hek have alternative shot and you can guess what happened after 40min thinking what to change in build and what happened when i find out from this video about this
I have been testing this build and have been getting a result im not sure if its supposed to happen or not, i manage to line the shot right and one tap him, but it still cuts to the second phase where the archon gets to half hp and becomes deadlier. even if you one shot him, is the second phase unavoidable ?
Empowered Quiver is one of the *many* viable options I didn't cover. Reason being is that in testing I found Boreal's tendency to wander off and not look towards an invisible Ivara made setting up suitable ziplines cumbersome. If you don't mind dealing with that then yes you can utilise the crit damage buff.
I'm thinking Ivara is overkill. I've been using a radiation Kuva Hek with my everyday Nezha build (~200 power strength) and that almost always one taps all 3 with just roar and deadhead if it's 2 people. I only bother to use the operator buffs if the squad is 3 or more, and even, once with 4 people I forgot to use op, I think I only had 3 deadhead stacks, and my team was already shooting it (doing very little damage) with Laetums yet I got the one shot twice in a row. Oh, and on top of all that, my first shot felt like it was WAY off- too far away and not center (definitely missed a few pellets)
As of the Abyss of Dagath update 18th Oct '23, these setups no longer one shot an Archon. They are still perfectly viable damage setups for doing the fights, but the shock and awe factor is gone.

I suggest Empowering Quiver too. Bonus crit damage and it's easier to get headshots from above. Also works wonders with the current Archon since his phase 2 includes a sweeping attack similar to Jackal's. Which shouldn't be a problem at all if you're sitting on a wire above
I really wanna know the reactions of those randoms you accidently queued with when you one shot that archon lmao
Fun fact, rhino roar stacks with subsumed rhino roar
This is definitive proof DE needs to stop putting damage attention on things
It does LITERALLY NOTHING to stop min-max players from one tapping bosses BUT it does make content IMPOSSIBLE for the average player
What annoys me the most about damage attenuation is that I thought I could use my Chroma for once

Was waiting for ages for this video Kengineer, love all your guides and videos! Thank you for shining some light on the Archon fights.

I still wish scattered justice worked on it
I found it useful against Demolysts too.
The way it works directly is by just stuffing itself where the faction damage is calculated in the multiplier, so if you have a primed bane mod for +55% and activate a rhino buff for 50%, the faction damage modifier becomes 105% (and in game is expressed as "(1*damage*damage modifiers)*(1+0.55+0.5 faction damage)* (1+crit and headshots and other shit you probably already know but if you don't just use the wiki lmao).")
The way extra hit abilities interact with faction damage and multishot specifically are super well known in the endurance running community, and it's one of the ways players have been able to achieve billions of damage seemingly out of nowhere for the longest time, turning thinks like the MK-1 Kunai with the mod concealed explosives into level-cap-steel-path viable killing tools.
@@TheStanishStudios Dystopia runs levelcap disruption and does the math on his less recent videos
So bottom line, what's the best buff for a weapon? Roar, Eclipse or Xatas whisper? Which of these will give me the most damage possible?
@@davidporter28 it entirely depends. For example, for sentient enemies, because faction damage can't be modded for (outside the sacrificial mods) the faction bonus from roar is a strong contender, even though the damage from xata's being void damage deals extra to sentients, raw faction damage should on average deal more after a certain damage threshold when talking raw Damage, let alone the DOT effects. However if you're dealing stealth damage on say a melee+invis build, then xata's 100% cakes the take. Eclipse as a buff should be considered like an elemental bonus without the element attached, as that's pretty much how its calculated (unless I'm wrong and its additive and I'm dumb, in which case ignore me.)
As for archons specifically? Roar. Roar wins no question, but in general it entirely depends. The More you mod for a specific stat, the more diminishing your returns will be on the bonus as a general rule, so each build for each weapon will be uniquely specializing in the bonuses you can get the most out of, be it crit, DOT's, conditional multipliers, Stealth, or a combination of many
@@nevintilch4962 If you say roar is best for archons then why use xatas whisper?
Now the game itself needs to explain this and other damage dealing concepts to the players in a hands-on way and nobody would ever complain about bosses being too bulky.
Anyway fantastic explanation, thanks for doing DE's job for them :D
The game is a sandbox, experiment yourself
@@loafofbread9400 that still doesn't give DE an excuse to not explain its systems. Can't experiment with it if you don't know it exists.

Thank you for the help, this video explained a lot that I was troubled with. :)
Once again I follow a build exactly and yet I can't replicate it's results.
However you explained their armor well and still provided a build good enough to melt them quickly, even if I can't get that amazing once shot puled off. Thank you very much!!!
I just tried it last night as well, and can't get anything near a oneshot, I'm assuming there's some more attenuation since this video was released
You probably didn’t build up deadhead stacks and utilize ivara
I'd also suggest to use a Compation like Djinn because the revive this Companion provides is even in the Archon Quest still valid and useable (at least in Solo).
why djinn when you have those deimos cats can revive themselves faster than it?
worked like a charm with rhino and a riven to be extra sure, many thanks for this info
Hey, I know you won't see this, but I've had success with vigorous swap on Ivara with the Hek.
I quickly swap to melee and back, and I can oneshot the archon without the arcane/galvanized mod buff

Good to know i should've been doing the final part of archon hunt alone for a quicker kill, i emptied 2 full incarnon mags on phenmor to no avail but now i realize it's because the inaros was spamming attack with orthos and never leaving the archons side.
just 2 days later then the original 4min archon speed run post on youtube
So basically, the most efficient way of doing them is going solo thanks to the applied attenuation ... Another great game design, DE! Keep it up, and there will not be a single public queue for the archon showdown.
Not to mention the archon and other enemies get health bonuses for each additional player in your squad!
Anyone with at least half a brain should know that in any game in general is that solo is the best way to play because the enemies health, armor, etc. is going to be at it's lowest because the games code "scales" with the amount of players in a session.
It's good to be 2 so someone can reanimate you and it's faster to open the gate.
I found Revenant to be my best pick for Archons. I use either Felarx or Kuva Hek
This is now my primary strategy for nemesis confrontations, most don't even need roar or charge deadhead.
I love how the augments like smite infusion, venom dose, shock trooper etc, let's you get around that '1 attack buff ability per frame' stuff. I use smite infusion and shock trooper on my Volt to eidolon hunt with the vastilok. Hadn't thought about using it for archons much.
You're doing it all wrong

So, I saw the open and paused, I am currently guessing, it's Prowl's Headshot Multiplier letting you do the one shot. Possibly it needs to be Kuva Hek or some other really high damage per pellet shotgun for the multiple headshots in the same shot.

Why do you use Incendiary Coat and not Blaze? Wouldn't Blaze give you more damage here?
I used the hek by chance for my first archon, but didn't know how the damage scaling worked... queue a long fight!
Thx for the detailed explanation 👍
Well, good thing I got a Hek riven today, I’ve been meaning to actually make a good weapon for Archon fighting 😅
Personally I prefer the perigale since it has a busted infinite ammo with headshots giving 100% efficiency with unlimited uptime with every headshot
When I heard high damage in a single shot I immediately thought kuva Chakkhurr not kuva hek
The build I was thinking would be using that with Mirage Prime with Hall of Mirrors
if u using stuff like phenmor which u shouldnt if u want the hunt to be quick or felarx if u want it to be quick dont use vigilante set mods at all
Would a Harrow Prime's covenant be of any use? Theorectically speaking, no crit rate would be needed. Stacked with everything else, an insta kill is essentially guaranteed?
Thank you very much, I knew my Felarx would save my day :)
what base element do you have on the kuva keck from the kuva lich?
Toxin (any % works)
Wouldn’t Smite with Smite Infusion give much more damage than Roar? Or is even a 60% roar buff way more than say a 300% radiation infusion from smite?

@TheKengineer What happens if I place Roar on a High strength- duration volt with shock trooper , shield and madurai's VS with Kuva Hek?
Great introduction video! I personally used Nezha with its enemy weakening ability (chakram) with infused roar. Of course, you need kuva hek. I am not sure if DE would do something about this approach, but we'll see about that soon enough.
No skill work on the archon, so Nezha's chackram pretty much did nothing, shame on (this) DE boss design IMO...

Felarx tweaked incarnon mode now behave similar to wide projectile box like plasmor and the likes so it could be nice for handling aerolyst maybe
no matter how hard, how much health(perhaps) how much resistance, warframe players will almost always one shot bosses or one shot each phase
i didn't know that hek have alternative shot and you can guess what happened after 40min thinking what to change in build and what happened when i find out from this video about this
I have been testing this build and have been getting a result im not sure if its supposed to happen or not, i manage to line the shot right and one tap him, but it still cuts to the second phase where the archon gets to half hp and becomes deadlier. even if you one shot him, is the second phase unavoidable ?
Second phase is unavoidable yes. You can then one-tap that stage too.
Can you make a video on what you think of the archon mods that you get from chipper
A thought occurs - do you still need to build up arcane stacks on Ivara if you have Empowered quiver? I mean, you already have 209% strength Ivara...

No I have a heat detron 40%. Pretty much an eximus slayer 1 shot steel path
it doesn't actually unload every shot in one go like the hek does, it just fires very quickly until the clip is empty
