If the pistol slot is free, why not use the Grimoire to snapshot 60% Ability Efficiency or Strength onto Prowl with Netra or Vome Invocation? Would Dual Ichor Incarnon work here or do the cloud it generates count as you melee hitting enemies thus draining your energy? Great thinking, will give it a go. Not sure she'll dethrone Octavia for me when considering perpetual stealth though.
snapshot efficiency doesn't work on drain abilities as it uses your current efficiency number. Could work with strength to get even more movement speed though
Not to be a killjoy, but what are the perks of doing this with Ivara as opposed to just recasting invis on Loki or Ash and having the helminth slot for another ability like roar or xata's instead of being forced to use something like the builds here. Seems the only big positive is the pickpocketing for extra loot, but you could just go for petrify and its augment for a better version of that effect on another invis frame
I was thinking exactly the same, waiting to see some missing piece by the end of the build explanation, thinking he would maybe use invis arrows on a companion to being able to do parkour or something. This is just loki with extra hoops, not to mention ash, at least loki can use radial disarm and have his subsume free.
Sure, I can give reasons for this. If someone asks, how do you play melee on Ivara, but don't want to camp? Do you like pressing invis every 13s on Ash? Is Roar or Xata on those frames any different than using Lycath's Hunt or Molt on Ivara here, when they both result in enemies dying instantly? Most people praise Ash for bladestorm. Her Dashwires also last forever until you cast too many. This "flex slot" is completely unnecessary for Survival. But if you for some reason want to shoot a Demolyst, or run this to 9k, well. Now you have a Dashwire you can use for buffs. On the subsume situation. If you use Roar or Xata, doesn't that mean you're also forced to use Roar or Xata? Why not use a completely different subsume then, instead of Roar or Xata? Petrify costs you your Helminth slot, and uses an augment mod slot as well. Radial disarm while invisible does not help you. That's useful for when you are not invisible. You may want to look at this through the lens of: - how do you make melee work on ivara prowl instead of: - how many pieces are required for this build to work
Perk: You cast Prowl twice in a mission, once at the start and once to snapshot your arcane. Instead of having to re-invis over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and whoops I missed the timing and now I'm not invis and an eximus just blew me up.
Ive got a rework idea for ash: His ult will mark enemys like usual, but with a wider area where enemys get marked, kind of like mesa shoots. They decide to go for TH-camrs because they are almost guaranteed not to be put in their place by the creator (the only one who does is NMF, and he's called rude because of that). Most critics come from cowards who never speak for themselves outside of the Internet, and who LOVE to get into arguments with people because either they're lonely or they think they're always right. theres an alternative for melee enjoyers, for some reason glave detonation only counts as 1 hit so it doesnt drain at all. I mainly use xoris melee influence and its busted
Tested this with ruvox thinking that maybe influence could make it work somehow but nope, ruvox was struggling with fodder, meanwhile innodem can do this even without argonak augment.
I wish more people use Ivara in spy missions to make them faster. Sometimes I give a try in public servers, but usually get disappointed by "speed ruiners" 😅
@@V2ULTRAKill I don't have good remembers with teammates using wukong or wisp, they always trigger the alarm. I prefer more Ivaras with the augment going to different objectives 😁
Or do what I did I replaced navigatior with tempest barrage with molt augmented and arcane engerize you stay on dashwire while invisible and bombard them from above use a couple of tauforged crimson shards and add additional health via shard if needed..
If I had big purple tau's I could just drop equilibrium, right? Or do I need the red crit damage chards? I assume this is a melee status build not a melee crit or hybrid build.
This works extremely well and I've also showcased it in past for many uses and including other frames. However, console players cannot do this, as well as PC players that don't have the dexterity to pull it off (these were the two leading complaints about when I originally showcased shooting your sentinel).
I would love to see a video on Dagath. It seems like nobody has made a single video on her beyond first impressions at release and I feel like there is a lot to explore with her Doom ability
It nice build, but it has one bad thing for me, I can't slide whlie melee. I use slide on movment combos to gain 1-3meter more reach and it in my core to press ctr while doing big move with weapons so i constantly going out of invisibility. :(
What is the character effect that is causing the tentacle-like energy effects from your character? They look black at the start and then become bright blue in combat. It looks like an ephemria/syndana but I'm not sure.
Genuinely not sure if I just missed something but is there any ivara specific tech that goes into this? it seems it would just be better on basically any other stealth frame and you wouldn't need to jump through like 10 hoops just to get it to work 'normally'
It’s mainly that Ivara normally cannot run & gun on a melee build, at all, while invis. This isn’t a video on why you should play Ivara, but a video on what other things can you do with Ivara.
This is a good build, i just hate being locked to using 1 weapon out of 3 available. I might try it without the argonak and see if it can do anything in long runs. I like my primary and secondaries :)
Sure. Here's my answer. Why not play Ivara? Not that you *should* play Ivara over something else, but that what reason is there for Ivara to not be good enough for melee? Can't she do exactly what Octavia would do with this build? I can see you're subscribed for a year and are probably familiar with my builds. Therefore, you should know that I don't care about investment required for a build to work. What I care about is does the build perform as advertised. I claimed that this Ivara setup makes her melee-compatible and is competitive with typical meta melee gameplay frames. It even has room for flexibility if you want to use her Bow, or include her Dashwire crit augment.
Azn, ash has technically infinite energy and invis if you put nourish on his, keep his 4 marking targets and killing them for boosted refunded energy, only way I play ash.
You may want to look at this through the lens of: - how do you make melee work on ivara prowl instead of: - how many pieces are required for this build to work
And how often do you need that damage bonus? It's only really something you might use against a Demoylst, or at worst, an Acolyte. Place one wire and hop on and kill off that one enemy, then forget about needing wire for the next while.
yes need that for the demos @@Aznvasions regular sp mobs are paper nowadays the wires are too finnicky, especially if we're using melee and the demos are too fast sometimes, maybe epitaph might help, idk
Use loki with tharros strike from styanax on the 4th, with precision intensify, you got 95% strip that gets topped off with corrosive projection, on top of that safeguard switch for immunity and you're set
I... I actually didn't like this one. All these builds only use Ivara's prowl as the main ability, completely ignoring the other ones and other possible synergies. The headshot multiplier from prowl? Not used. Her quiver for possible finisher kills/melee crescendo? Not used. Idk man, if u wanna go invis and just melee, it's better to use ash or loki
You are still able to headshot, because your pistol slot is free. You can still use Quiver, because the build has a flex slot open. If you want extra crit damage, that's also clearly doable because...the flex slot is open. This Ivara matches Ash and Loki in KPM. There is still more build freedom in useful options on the Ivara showcased, whereas Loki is...invisible? Bladestorm falls far behind in KPM and DPS, and serves best only as an Arcane Trickery enabler, which still requires you to pan your screen every once in a while to mark enemies. The build is fully compatible with Quiver finisher kill setups for melee crescendo if you want. I don't need to show every single example possible with the build. All I need to demonstrate is enough freedom left on the setup to change as you wish, of which there are many. You are also able to use her bow on this setup to its fullest extent, because we still have the massive headshot multiplier and good energy regen. Do I need to showcase the Bow to demonstrate it still works when the build is proven to have positive energy economy with massive strength scaling, and still a spare slow for the Dashwire augment? Also consider that there are melee stances that consistently hit headshots. Shimmering Blight from Polearms is one of them. Heavy Blades also have a stance that always lands headshots as the very first hit.
Ash: th-cam.com/video/68AjmrJfmGM/w-d-xo.html Loki has nothing he can do interesting atm. Last time we came up with something unusual was this: th-cam.com/video/EZEWZm9FGgs/w-d-xo.html
It's an unlisted effect in the UI, and most attribute it to something they just didn't notice in-mission from an enemy, so it's normal to write it off and not wonder why.
I use artemis bow with concentrated arrow and since I don't want to sacrifice mobility, no prowl for me. I main ivara, it's sad the bow struggles compared to other frame's skills that don't even need aiming.
Ok I have one question, and maybe its a stupid one, but why remove Navigator, and not her Bow? The bow seems lackluster, and Navigator is at least a funny ability for gunplay
bow is useful for blowing up things the melee doesn't work well against, like if Violence has already casted Silence at range, and bow also destroys demolysts if you want to bring that there
@@twentyneleafyfangirls1616 imo it's one of the best scaling exalted weapons in the game, and because of how ivara's abilities work, it will always be a powerful weapon without having to specifically build for it.
Sorry, but Ash is still better. I don’t have to do complex modding on him. Build for duration/strength for 2 and remove 3rd for weapon buff (roar/eclipse/Xata’s whisper). Now pick your favorite primary/melee and destroy. Same goes for Loki.
Idk bro, saying ivara is better than ash is quite a stretch. Especially if you gotta build a certain way in order to make it worth while, when you can just build ash the same way with less effort
I have been using an infinite invisible ivara for along time with silence helminth, however I just throw a 12x Glaive. she doesn't move fast... but its survival, and if you don't know here is a pro tip: the mobs come to you...
@@Aznvasions umm.. as noted above? lol dont get angry because I dont play mine they way you do. I like your build for the tons of peeps that want to do that... so chill
@@nunya2400 it’s not a reply about how you play, it’s that the video is for if someone in general wants to play Ivara melee faster. That wasn’t clear in your original message either. Or do you think your “pro tip” has no nuance to it? The question “if you want to play” was not meant to be directed at your playstyle, personally, but rather if someone in general wanted to.
Really cool and creative build. I think people in the comments are too caught up in comparing Ivara as a melee platform to other frames. I have been looking for good builds to try on Ivara that aren't boring af to play, will definitely try this.
Lol the about of stuff u need fir these builds is crazy and if your not on par with these gamers in the way you time stuff the builds go to wack 🤪.. these builds are defo not for new to medium time players ie 90 odd % of warframe player base .. amazing how you and others test and re test builds so we don't have too.. even then I still find it hard to go level cap on some of these builds etc even nightmareframes builds 2 .. but ty for the builds and the content etc keep up the great work tenno . 😊 To all tenno .. practice practice practice and test test test tweek a lil here and there till u find what works for you pluss remember there's always shards and riven to help with your warframe and weapons modding ..😊
No, she wasn't. Ivara is an annoying frame to play due to how her abilities work. Ash, on the other hand, is simple and good at killing both with guns, melee and abilities with no penalties or nuances, on top of having one of the best passives in the game. Yes, there are some things Ivara is better at, such as sitting in the same spot on a wire and braindead AoE farming resources. Nobody can take that from her. Most players like to move around when they play tho, and Ivara's I visibility comes with a movement penalty only a Mesa or Nyx player could cope with.
He's specifically talking about aoe melee kills, aka ash's bladestorm. This build showcases, invis aoe melee kills that is better than ash, the guy you normally think of when you hear "invis aoe melee kills". Not clickbait, you just didn't understand. Stick around azn's channel long enough though and you'll learn.
You gotta find something new to harp about, getting tired of melee influence argonak dagger this melee influence argonak dagger that. Kpm blahblahblah.
@@Aznvasions I Never said you had to be. and I'm sure a lot of watchers get the point. influence argonak dagger goes on everything. Cause it (or atleast influence) has been the core of a lot of your videos since it came out. I even tried to ping you with a trio elemental saryn build that lets you put void, corrosive, toxin and heat in on there too which is nice for a good overpowered laugh just because you were making influence "your thing". But you ever heard of variety is the spice of life? :V mix it up with a non-influence build occasionally? _(oh never mind. just saw the frost and vauban build. guess I'll take a peek at those...)_
@@DarkmegaGaming I have many, many, many non argonak builds over the course of the last 3 years that people are free to peruse in their free time. I don’t pick Argonak Influence because it’s strong. Rather, because it fixes an issue on the setup I’m using. No, I don’t throw things on just for the sake of making things strong.
bro, just play loki instead, you dont need a super over complicated setup and this and that an shit, just press 2 and melee, i dont understand this necesite to overcomplicate and tryhard everything every WF youtuber has, when you clearly got easier, cheaper and more efficient options in the game, just chill dude, its a PVE game not your engineer graduation project
There are more 'efficient' builds in the form of room nukes, cast an ability and the enemy count drops way faster than what melee could ever do. The point is making builds is fun. People do like to engage a bit with the games they play. You'll figure it out once you make it past the 100hr playtime mark.
Well if you don't care about complicated builds, don't use them. But complicated or niche builds are what this channel is pretty much about and some people, including me, enjoy trying these builds out.
@@Aznvasions lol ... BTW, the projectiles that are the incarnon special of the Innodem clap cheeks harder - transferring melee influence faster and further. I'm guessing the ramped up Weeping Wounds is also contributing to it dealing a lot more damage. Not sure if I saw you talk about it in your video.
yea, trash video for content fishing. like it's just a melee influence build and ivara brings nothing to the table, except taking away your parkour and sprint. like, I am sorry for people watching stuff like this looking for something useful.
@@nearthe2nd how long ago did you play the game? Arcane trickery and companion 2.0 can make these build easy to replicate on other frames but better on some. This video didn't really offer anything new.

What do you mean now? Always and forever Ivara gang gang.
Tested this with ruvox thinking that maybe influence could make it work somehow but nope, ruvox was struggling with fodder, meanwhile innodem can do this even without argonak augment.
I wish more people use Ivara in spy missions to make them faster. Sometimes I give a try in public servers, but usually get disappointed by "speed ruiners" 😅
speed ruiner is not on my list of favorite terms XD
If you wanted spy missions to be faster youd ask for wisp or wukong not ivara
Outside of specific setups like this ofc😊
Are you supposed to use a primer for this? On groups it does really well but when it comes to single targets its a little slow
I put wrathful advance on Ivara and I love it
Fun fact: You can aim at your sentinel while aim gliding and hit it with a cloak arrow, giving you a mobile cloak zone
He's done a video on Dagath already:

Me, only using speedva: heresy
It nice build, but it has one bad thing for me, I can't slide whlie melee. I use slide on movment combos to gain 1-3meter more reach and it in my core to press ctr while doing big move with weapons so i constantly going out of invisibility. :(
We just gonna ignore Ivara’s infiltrate augment?
Thanks for this.
does having a mod that lets you teleporr to enemy shen using heavy attack be good with her?
From practice - this mod is more annoying than useful, plus can get you stuck in terrain
the only warframe creator where I gotta take out a pen and paper ong
What is the character effect that is causing the tentacle-like energy effects from your character? They look black at the start and then become bright blue in combat. It looks like an ephemria/syndana but I'm not sure.
That’s the tennokai aura when it’s active
classic bluetooth dagger tomfoolery
Idk what I'm missing but why not just play this on ash? I don't rly see the difference except for the stealth duration
This isn’t a video on why you should play Ivara, but a video on what other things can you do with Ivara.
just me or I didn't seen any armored stripped enemies actually (well besides the acolytes)
It's Argonak, it kills too fast to see red health bars, because they die instantly when they become red.
gotcha @@Aznvasions
Can someone help me know why my combo duration is 5 and not 20? I have done the same as on the video but not the same result wtf
in the video, both the Primary and the Secondary Dexterity Arcanes are used. At max rank, both grant +7.5 second of Combo duration.
This is a good build, i just hate being locked to using 1 weapon out of 3 available. I might try it without the argonak and see if it can do anything in long runs. I like my primary and secondaries :)
Your pistol is free on this build :)
Why Ivara at all? You can have perma stealth without any downsides with Octavia.
and octavia comes with a free loss of braincells while playing her for more than 2 minutes too!
@@euterboy184 I wasn't using them anyway.
Why Octavia at all? You can just have someone borrow your account, and you'll get the same experience: pressing less than 5 buttons.
Having to recast Metronome every 30ish seconds and then teabag the air to maintain your invisibility is a pretty massive downside.
why dont we just use her invis arrows and hit your sentinal pet and you can subsume prowl with a damage ability or whatever you wanna use
I have already covered that before. And also, how would a console player manage that cloak arrow shot?
Azn, ash has technically infinite energy and invis if you put nourish on his, keep his 4 marking targets and killing them for boosted refunded energy, only way I play ash.
His 4 is also one of the slowest ways to get kills in the game.
This build is good for any frame, Ivara is actually adding nothing to the pack here, influence and tennokai are doing the work.
You may want to look at this through the lens of:
- how do you make melee work on ivara prowl
instead of:
- how many pieces are required for this build to work
Ivara is adding permanent hands-off stealth which no other frame can do. Loki, Ash, Octavia all require frequent maintenance on their invisibility.
das pretty neat
I just tried the Lycaths build
hi do you have a easy good build for beginner ? Your build look amazing but difficult to do when you are in early game thanks again for the video !
isn't Empowered Quiver only useful while being on those damn wires tho
And how often do you need that damage bonus? It's only really something you might use against a Demoylst, or at worst, an Acolyte. Place one wire and hop on and kill off that one enemy, then forget about needing wire for the next while.
yes need that for the demos @@Aznvasions
regular sp mobs are paper nowadays
the wires are too finnicky, especially if we're using melee and the demos are too fast sometimes, maybe epitaph might help, idk
please do some updated void cascade builds
Use loki with tharros strike from styanax on the 4th, with precision intensify, you got 95% strip that gets topped off with corrosive projection, on top of that safeguard switch for immunity and you're set
grimoire for energy regen? no?
does not work while channeling, of which Prowl is. Also requires book to be out, which won't be, because you're constantly meleeing
got it, thx@@Aznvasions
was just wondering
@Aznvasions what about trying to snapshot the ability strength mod from grimoir? Does it behave the same or does it actually fundtion
Not kps wise as he proved, but in fun terms i totally agree
@@Aznvasions Well sheesh, I stand corrected now, that's a good answer. I actually didn't even remember the flex slot. Thanks for the feedback
can you make ash and loki build? :)
Ash: th-cam.com/video/68AjmrJfmGM/w-d-xo.html
Loki has nothing he can do interesting atm. Last time we came up with something unusual was this: th-cam.com/video/EZEWZm9FGgs/w-d-xo.html
@@Aznvasions is ceramic dagger better than innodem for ivara?
I’ve played this game for over 6000 hours, over 8 years and played several hundred hours with Ivara.
I never knew Prowl drained energy on melee hits.
It's an unlisted effect in the UI, and most attribute it to something they just didn't notice in-mission from an enemy, so it's normal to write it off and not wonder why.
I use artemis bow with concentrated arrow and since I don't want to sacrifice mobility, no prowl for me. I main ivara, it's sad the bow struggles compared to other frame's skills that don't even need aiming.
loki?
Ok I have one question, and maybe its a stupid one, but why remove Navigator, and not her Bow?
The bow seems lackluster, and Navigator is at least a funny ability for gunplay
bow is useful for blowing up things the melee doesn't work well against, like if Violence has already casted Silence at range, and bow also destroys demolysts if you want to bring that there
@@Aznvasions okay didnt think it would scale well enough to kill demos, thanks for the reply!
@@twentyneleafyfangirls1616 imo it's one of the best scaling exalted weapons in the game, and because of how ivara's abilities work, it will always be a powerful weapon without having to specifically build for it.
Melee Ivara is cool but I think I’ll stick to Valkyr
Sorry, but Ash is still better. I don’t have to do complex modding on him. Build for duration/strength for 2 and remove 3rd for weapon buff (roar/eclipse/Xata’s whisper). Now pick your favorite primary/melee and destroy. Same goes for Loki.
Why melee ivara specifically?
Because it was the one thing she was incapable of doing in the past at any capacity :)
Yay... Another *Melee Influence* Video in Disguise 😐

The question “if you want to play” was not meant to be directed at your playstyle, personally, but rather if someone in general wanted to.
One of my least use frames.
Really cool and creative build. I think people in the comments are too caught up in comparing Ivara as a melee platform to other frames. I have been looking for good builds to try on Ivara that aren't boring af to play, will definitely try this.

...Now? As compared to what? Before she came out? She has always been better than Ash. Clickbait title to get views I guess.
On what planet? She slow asf
Not everyone like her play style unfortunately that speed ain't it for a lot of people
No, she wasn't.

A fellow loki main, I see. Oldie but a goodie that few care to understand.
There are more 'efficient' builds in the form of room nukes, cast an ability and the enemy count drops way faster than what melee could ever do. The point is making builds is fun. People do like to engage a bit with the games they play. You'll figure it out once you make it past the 100hr playtime mark.
