So when I'm installing my conduit and I'm coming to a corner, do the same rules apply? Also does my measurement come from the coupling side to the corner when determining the bend distance? So I created a 90 and measured from the connector to the corner. It was 64". Subtracted 6" because I'm using 3/4" so I marked at 58". Put my bender arrow on the mark and I came up an inch short when trying to navigate around the corner. Just curious what might have happened. I'm going to mark at 60" and see if that gets me around the corner and stay connected on the coupling connector. What are your thoughts?
Just curious ..if i am only interested in lets say a run where I want the vertical to be at 50" on a 1/2 pipe ..do I bend 5" less - so 45" then bend.and I get 50"?
The best way to do that is to use the star on bender. Mark it on 50 and it will be 50. Otherwise bend your 90 on a longer piece and you will have to cut it to the correct length. If you do it like you are explaining in your comment it will only be 45.
@@MountaineerOutdoors Thanks. To say it another way, the handle needs to have a bend at each end as if it had 90° elbows but be continuous (no elbows).
You always leave a half inch then you know you wont kink the end of the tube lol old school way but if you need a box of set you bend that first then the 90 but why is know one saying anything about back to back 90s the easy way cut pipe to total length when its straight mark center then measure from center out then take offs then Ben pipe old school way super simple and it's just quick math and then no cuts after the both bends :) just saying
At 6:08 your comment was “ if you know what I’m talking about, you know what I’m talking about; I don’t know what you’re talking about and you didn’t explain what your talking about; what were you talking about? If every bender is different why would you direct me to go to Lowe’s and take a photo of the handle of a bender that may be from a different manufacturer, that would not help me and additionally, every bend you made on the video was close but not a correct measurement. Please take the time to be concise with your instructions and explain what you talk about
As for the conduit not being exact I can tell you that it was close enough I wasn't wiring the Taj Mahal. And If you even paid attention to what I said about my quote, if you know what I'm talking about etc. Then you could easily figure it out. Good for you that, that has never happened to you. And for the pictures at lowes... Bro just use your head.. Im not gonna address in any detail for you.. If you would like an explanation hit me up on patron or PayPal
If you know you know refers to having to hammer on the couplings because the emt is slightly distorted from having been bent right at the end. As in you have personally screwed it up the same way and had to strong arm the coupling on. Take a picture of the handle refers to the cheat sheet table most bedders have on the handle- it has multipliers, shink/gain measurements etc. The sticker tends to get scraped up with heavy use.
you the goat for these bend videos ! you need a million views!
I appreciate that comment. That would be nice to receive a million views. Thank you for your comment and watching ☺

Hi, can you please make a video about how to make a multiple bends 90?
I will keep that in mind. Thanks for watching and commenting ☺
do you recommend a klien bender for home owner?
Yes I honestly would not buy a Gardner bender the Klein and the ideal are the best by far

Measure from the center of the coupling tight to the wall then deduct your takeup. Also keep in mind if you are using minis.

Do you only use gain when your getting the full length of the pipe?
I'm not sure what you are asking exactly?
Like when you have your leg length and stub up length. You only use the gain when you are figuring out the full length of pipe needed correct?
Hi. Is it possible to make a handle that's about 8" before the 90° bends on each end?
I think that I know what you are asking, your referring to the 90 stub?? If so then absolutely

First view. Great video
Thanks brother now you know how to bend its time for you to help me 😂 😂 😂
Identify and measure the point where to bend 90 degrees and the termination point (Box and Coupling)
Can you answer it😅
I'm not exactly sure what you mean by this?
Takes near 7 minutes for something to happen... vid needs editing
U want a job
@@MountaineerOutdoors I don’t know what you’re talking about, did you offer Rickie a job bending conduit?
Nope he couldn't even pick up my tool bag without moaning like a little girl

You mean for a video idea?
The guy that’s training knows what HE needs to do but is a horrible trainer. When it comes to get the measurements how do I go about that?
Tell me exactly what you want to know and I will work on a video
