- Today I bring you on a day in the life of an ocean lifeguard. This job can vary greatly depending on where you work and we certainly have a unique setup on Fire Island. This job also varies greatly day to day and some things that aren't shown in this vlog are our workouts and training, water rescues, patron interaction, and medical calls. Lifeguarding is an amazing job and Sierra and I both love it and are extremely thankful to be part of such awesome teams!

Hi. It's been great watching your videos and learning about life at sea. I'm a single parent to a 12 year old daughter and we are thinking about selling everything and buying a trawler to live on in the Gulf Breeze FL area. I was wondering if you could talk about things like mooring and parking your car... day to day stuff and suggestions with school and young ones.

Well summer is over now will you to be filming your trip back to Florida and any mishaps you may have. Also suggestion for future videos show us some of the area you live in not just the coastal part. Some of us older people that are nearing retirement, may at some point wish to relocate to Florida in your area. Or at least just Snowbird down there.

Nice to see just what you kids do to keep people safe at the beach. I am surprised at the color of the water, so brown and dirty looking. I live on the West coast and our coastal waters are usually green to blue. Whats up with that? Speaking of the water, what is the average temperature of "your " water this time of the year?

Forgive me for my land-locked ignorance, but I have a question. With the current track of hurricane Irma, it's gotten me to thinking about you guys. What do you do in the event of your boat /home being in the path of a hurricane? With as large as they are, it seems almost impossible to relocate around it from the ocean.
