them old fords are some tractor my dad had one for about 14 years no issues except some diesel leaks ( old as hosses)
Yea its been a great tractor. its got its quirks but doesn't every old piece of equipment. it really gives them that character.

What paint and spray glue and insulation kit did you use?
Brandon, would you know what it takes to change out the original 1000 rpm PTO with a 540?
Not sure. If you don’t need the horsepower you could run a pto adaptor that takes it from 1000 to 540. Otherwise I’m not sure what route you would go
