Ford tractors seem to be working even today because very good material was installed and even today in Pakistan, Ford tractors are available at a very good price. ♥️♥️🌹
I worked there from September1969 to September 1977 first as the last 3 years of my apprenticeship then as a trade's person in the Tool room and then the Cranks and conrods maintenance area, they were some of the best of my working years especially with the people i worked with. I emigrated to Canada in the September of 1977 and what i learnt from the Ford Trade School and Tractor Plant proved very useful in the years after.
I bought a Ford 2000 today. Apparently from 1979, so two years after you quit the apprenticeship. But we can say you practically worked on the tractor I bought 🚜 😊
A big thank you from France! We see that the workers loved their work, it was a team of enthusiasts. The cessation of production of Ford tractors is experienced as mourning, model 4000 from 1975 and 7610mk1 still in activity in 2024... and like many I hope that tomorrow will be a better world and that we will be able to see the return of tractors Ford produces chains as in Basildon before 1991. Already the recent return of Ford trucks looks promising with the new s-max 500 which takes over the activity of the old Cargo and Transcontinental models which were discontinued at the same time as our tractor.
@@tractorbarnproductions2009 After all, Newholland should behave well with us and reproduce some 10 and TW series models 🤩 even in limited numbers in order to satisfy us and preserve our heritage because many of these tractors have been deported to developing countries.
Have a 4000 8 speed with independent PTO, built at Basildon, came off the line Tuesday daytime on the 10 of December 1968, never had a spanner on it, except to adjust the tappets, but needs restoring

Yes....that blue colour with the white rims had such a beautiful contrast and the iconic lights at the front. I hear you about the 8630....it was an absolute beast and the sound of that engine was incredible. Don't make them like they used to.
No….Margaret Thatcher would have killed them off before they took that title…but they were the greatest tractor in my opinion…did my farm apprenticeship in New Zealand in the 70’s on one of the very first Ford 7000’s that came into the country…run rings around the David Brown 990 on the neighbour’s farm

My brother visited the factory in the 70s, he saw his first Escort RS 1800 in the car park.

Ford name should never have been lost in tractors
