- There were many moments over the years where Tony's (Larry Hagman) nemesis Dr. Bellows (Hayden Rorke) came about as close as he could to finding out the truth about Jeannie (Barbara Eden). Here are some of our favorites:

About I Dream of Jeannie: Barbara Eden and Larry Hagman star in this classic ‘60s comedy about a genie and her master. When astronaut Tony Nelson is forced to crash-land on a remote Pacific island, he finds a strange bottle that's washed ashore. When he opens it, out pops a genie named Jeannie. Not only does she get him back to civilization safely, she also smuggles herself aboard the rescue plane. Jeannie becomes Tony's constant companion. But though she happily grants his every wish, she causes more than her fair share of trouble.

I find it amusing how dr. Bellows just wanders into Tony's house every time without knocking
In some episodes, they knock or ring the doorbell.
@@heretocomment2337 this is true
If only Tony locked his front door occasionally...lol
In all sitcoms the door is always open.
He did lock them occasionally. Sometimes Roger and the Bellows' knock or ring the doorbell.
Just an absolutely wonderful program. Poor Dr. Bellows he was truly one of the funniest characters on TV, that poor man.
I've always found it interesting how Dr. Bellows felt like he had the right to just walk into Major Nelson's house any time he wanted. No knocking, just waltz right in.
Back then people didn't have to lock doors!
Sounds almost like the Air Force that I was in. Not walking in but certainly nosing into our private lives.
Dr. Bellows was a riot!
Best laugh I had all day!
Watch this show all the time I have the DVDs
Why can't they make shows like this today these reality shows are nauseating nowonder no one watches tv today
Wish there were more shows like:
I dream of Jeannie
Bewitched
Are you being served
Faulty Towers
Because reality shows are cheaper there's no imagination in television today
He's done it to me again...
Joe Flyn OF McHale's NAVY is in this episode
I'm from the mountains of Chicago where my dad was a camel salesman. 😆

9:50 The perfect response would have been “I’m in need of a secretary.”
Imagine a cocktail party with Dr. Bellows and Gladys Kravitz. Add in Dr. Smith and you could hear all three moaning, "Oh, the pain, the pain! 😫"
Cage in the living room. Freaky lol!

It could have been a bondage room.
0:44 Since when do guests just pop into their subling's home abodes? Does that make sense to anyone else?
Remember a time, when a young lady didn't have to worry about an older man, just walked into her abode?
Can we return to these days?
And a time of wonderful fashion, lovely automobiles (a lot of metallic ones), and wonderful personalities with the elegant poise.
@@WitchKing-Of-Angmar Don't confuse TV which is not real. Literally everything worn and shown is by specific design.
@@kennixox262 Everything worn in this show is comprehensible but tacky, clothing in real life I dare say was better...well, maybe not by 1967, the show showcases more traditional wear than what 1967 housed for young adults. However if you compare fashion in this show to the streets of Manhattan in 1950, there will be a bravado of difference. I'm not just figuring out this time frame because it looks all vintage and is such an aesthetic, I understand the entirety of the era and can tell you more about the 1900s than a historian.
