Oh, It’s such a good show, the chemistry between the leads is great. Also the main actor is from lost tomb reunion the sound of providence as zhang qi lin(xiao jie), it’s funny watching him being saved instead of doing the saving.

I read the original novel when I was in middle/high school and it is my favourite horror/survival game Danmei novel. Also Xia Zhiguang did such an amazing job in acting as Ruan Lanzhu, which surprised me, because I have always thought of him as some cute omega twink but in this show, he is a big hot, sexy alpha daddy...and with Lanzhu's flirtatious and mischievous little games!
also "that outfit" is a modern type of Hanfu which is Han ethnicity's clothing (China's biggest ethnicity). I think it is one of Lanzhu's best outfits in this show!

I binged all 78 episodes of this show when it dropped and I absolutely love it (I watched the fanmade translation, because it was the only available on for the time being. I am happy the show is getting rereleased again). Itbroke me, put me back together and broke me, again and again. I am currently reading the novel to see what the differences are and to have the perspective outside of censorship
