I love this show. I rewatch it all the time. One of the best censored BL dramas IMO. It's better than some actual BL dramas.

@rebekahmonroe1108 agreed completely! I'm DIEING for a reactor to react to it (I found one and I'm waiting every week for her to release a new reaction) so that I can experience it for the first time again through them.... the book is finally getting a release in English as well! Hopefully, that will bring this show a little more attention...

It's based on a BL novel called Kaleidoscope of Death, so... horror way toned down, but still there.
The show is amazing, one of my favorite shows that came out in a WHILE (and there are parts that the censorship board were sleeping through, no other explanation for some of the things they let through...). Started the book as well.
They're not even trying very hard in the show not to say they're in love, the only reason they're NOT together is because one of them is COMPLETELY clueless (which is true for the BL book as well, so it's not just for the censorship...), there's an ACTUAL conversation that goes something like this:
Guy one: if you're not looking for a girlfriend, how about the other option?
Guy 2: the other option? Do you mean get a cat??
Guy 1: *gets up in a huff* you really ARE single by choice! *leaves*
Guy 2: *calls after him confused* does this mean I can't get a cat?
We LOVE when the censorship board takes a nap during production 🙌🏽🙌🏽

I have rewatched this drama for a hundred times, read the novel many times and I still can't move on.

GO WATCH IT AAAAAH IT'S ON VIU!!! idk man im the type of a novel reader who's tend to DISLIKE any live adaptation from my favorite books. this right here, eventho they changed a lot (understandable bcs it was a chinese mainland produced) the story itself is so good the acting is soo good the chemistry is overflowing i had to rewatch for 10 times in a row 😭 it's just a shame that they removed 2 arcs (2 doors) which they shooted already bcs they're lacking in budget for cgi. i believe one of them is minotaur arc, my fav 😔 BOOK is 10/10, LIVE ACTION 8/10 and it's so high for a petty reader like me 😂

The Spirealm, Devil judge and Beyond evil are literally the big 3 of bromance series😂. You're missing 🙂. And the way you're saying 'brothers' is obviously insisting they're not.
This series is adapted from an actual bl novel. But of course it's censored to be bromance cuz it's from China, doesn't take away the fact it's a bl series.
Oh my eyes can see the BL through the censorship a mile away. The chemistry in Devil Judge 🥵🥵…and the episodes of Spirealm I’ve seen make it pretty obvious too. Haven’t check out Beyond Evil yet though
