that moment you describe...is the brain recognizing ..truth.........since most always the brain is comparing....when it sees something that has no comparison...truth...it momentarily "stops"....creating the feeling you describe....of course the brain never really stops!.working....and quickly reverts back to its old ways of seeing...try it...next time you experience that feeling...it can also come from the spoken word....music...is a good way to experience it...see if the brain reacts differently to truth..which is beauty...and see if it quickly moves to compare.....

Thanks for the beautiful video. A curious selection, three Paul Delaroche's but not one Cezanne, Matisse, Picasso, Ingress, Master of Flemalle, Vermeer............. The emphasis seems on narrative paintings rather than truly innovative ones.

Also would some suggestions to which painters to cover next be appropriate ? Especially ones that are not just fixed to painting but stuff like pen and ink...

If you are still open to the idea here are some suggestions if you haven't already covered some. Arthur Rackham, Harry Clarke, Willy Pogany, Reginald Birch, Walter Jardine, Attila Sassy, Joseph Clement Coll, Edwin Austin Abbey, Sergio Toppi, Alberto Breccia, Guido Crepax, Moebius and so on...The last four are comic artists.
You excluded Caravaggio, Velasquez, Sargent, Turner, Dali, Jan Vermeer, Picasso(although he sucks), Freud, Bougeureau, Aiwazowsky, and so many others???
Of course Aritra, the ones you've mentioned are the "OBVIOUS" but nevertheless great...My birthday falls on Leonardo DaVinci's birthday so naturally I was disappointed too and was hoping to see his MONA LISA and THE LAST SUPPER and of course Michelangelo's stuff SISTINE CHAPEL etc...The latter was 24 years younger than DaVinci and it is said they didn't get along..."artistic license to disagree" LOL...but this depiction is so so beautiful
